Early Stages of Parkinson's Disease

Robin Williams' wife says he was in the early stages of Parkinson's disease at the time of his death -- but she says he wanted to keep that battle under wraps.

Susan Schneider just released a statement, saying ... "Robin's sobriety was intact and he was brave as he struggled with his own battles of depression, anxiety as well as early stages of Parkinson's Disease, which he was not yet ready to share publicly."

Susan does not draw a connection between the Parkinson's and Robin's suicide.

She added, "It is our hope in the wake of Robin’s tragic passing, that others will find the strength to seek the care and support they need to treat whatever battles they are facing so they may feel less afraid.”

Why does she feel compelled to make so many statements after his death?

Why did she last see him at 10:30 pm before he went to bed and then left the house twelve hours later, and NEVER checked up on him ? Why didn't she? Why was it the assistant who was the one to check up on him and find that he was dead? If you knew your husband was very depressed, for god's sake, why weren't you checking up on him every few hours or getting a doctor in?
Williams' second wife was a user and money grubbing oportunist. Seems like he got used by some very hard women.

Sounds like his wife is making tons of excuses. He was probably so depressed his wife slept in another room and ignored him. Also his thoughts were another divorce now tons of money it will cost him...not a pretty picture!

We have control over our lives and our destiny and if anyone is terminally ill or ill with a disease that is going to cause suffering, they should have the option to end their lives. It's not the family members, the public or the fans living in his body, it was Robin. Obviously he needed relief from his pain, so he ended his life, and I respect him for it. Parkinson's disease is a horrible disease with all the ailments and even with medication, everyone is different. I have no right to question Robin William's choice, it was his, and I respect him for it.

California's Legal Definition of "Criminal Negligence"

Criminal negligence refers to a mental state of disregarding known or obvious risks to human life and safety. An example would be leaving a loaded firearm within reach of a small child.

To be guilty of any crime, a person must act with a "mens rea" or "criminal intent." Normally this means intentionally or deliberately pursuing a criminal result.

But criminal negligence may substitute for criminal intent under very specific cir***stances. When it does, it can subject someone to serious charges such as child endangerment or manslaughter even when the actions are unintentional.

In an effort to help you better understand how and when California's criminal negligence laws are applied, our Los Angeles criminal defense attorneys1 will address the following:

It was reported he had a dark bedroom and stayed in there for days. Why would anyone leave him like that?
