What's the secret to Fallout Boy's success among the young kids? Booze. And lots of it.
Pete Wentz's New York City bar, Angels and Kings, has been shut down for a few days for allegedly serving alcohol to minors, Gawker is reporting. The bass player (who moonlights as Ashlee Simpson's baby-daddy/husband) has had some legal trouble in the past -- apparently this is the bar's third violation.
A rep for the bar told us they didn't know anything about the closure -- but the bar's website says it's supposed to be closed yesterday and today for "maintenance issues."
Maintaining what -- a .08 blood alcohol level on underage kids?
A rep for A&K gave us this statement: "There was an outstanding legal issue which the owners are now working to correct."
So there.

With Bronx Mowgli at home, Ashlee Simpson hit up the Chateau with her hubby on Friday -- and from the looks of it, it's probably a good thing she took the backseat when they left.
During her assisted walk to the ride, Ashlee claimed she "loved" the "Howard Stern incident" -- referring to the time her hubby Peter Wentz went on the air and told the King of All Media every explicit detail about their sex lives.
Looks like someone's come out of her shell....

Jessica Simpson's sister has a big beef with everyone who is calling Jess ... big.
The littler Simpson, Ashlee, writes on her blog she is "completely disgusted" by all the attention her sister got from those photos of her in high-waisted jeans and a big belt. Slams Ash: "Is this something you would say to your wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, or even a friend? I seriously doubt it."
Jessica's ex-trainer is also piping about the controversy, saying Jess is "healthy."

Pete Wentz is no stranger to making an ass of himself -- but this one dude's job in Vegas on New Year's Eve was to make sure that didn't happen, by holding his thighs to keep the boozy father of one from falling over.
We can just imagine the job description: "Security must be able to lift 50lbs without incident."

Pete Wentz might want to get a paternity test -- his baby looks a lot like John Mayer.
All the magazines reportedly passed on the Bronx Mowgli Wentz baby pics -- and we were given a real treat when an unsteady Pete decided to show us a photo on his cell phone last night outside Virgin Megastore in NYC.

For the second night in a row, Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz were out sans baby Bronx Mowgli. The kid is 20 days old ... which means they've been without their baby more than 10% of the nights.

After giving birth to son Bronx an entire 18 days ago, Ashlee Simpson did what every new mom does ... she went clubbing in West Hollywood.
Ash checked out her husband Pete Wentz's show at the Troubadour and then hightailed it next door to Foxtail for a little see and be scene action.
Hopefully, the 24-year-old will be as good a mom as she is a singer.

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are giving up diaper duty for the night to host Pure Nightclub's New Year's Eve party in Las Vegas.
As long as they don't leave him with Jessica...

And their next child shall be named Queens Baloo.
Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz had their kid yesterday (well done, blah blah blah), but couldn't resist the temptation to give their new son a name that will make him either very cool or most likely deeply resentful for a long time. That is, Bronx Mowgli -– as in asphalt jungle and Jungle Book.
Everybody's healthy and happy, by the way.

Following in the heterosexual footsteps of Brad Pitt and Steven Spielberg, Pete Wentz has contributed money to fight Prop 8 and keep same-sex marriage legal in California.
Although wife Ashlee Simpson (who is about to pop) was nowhere in sight, the Fall Out Boy showed up at a No on Prop 8 fundraiser at Gallery 1988 in Hollywood on Sunday. Other civil rights supporters in the house included "Scrubs" star Sarah Chalke and members of Linkin Park.
Pitt and Spielberg have contributed $100K each to stop the anti-gay ballot initiative. No word on how much Pete donated.

While due at the end of October, mom-to-be Ashlee Simpson recently flew first class from Dallas to LAX with her mom Tina.
Contrary to popular belief, it is safe for a healthy pregnant woman to fly. On the other hand, lip-synching can ruin you.
