Boston Marathon Bombing Survivor Adrianne Haslet 'Livid' After Tsarnaev Death Sentence Overturned

Boston Marathon Bombing survivor Adrianne Haslet -- who lost her leg in the terror attack -- is FURIOUS after an appeals court Friday overturned the bomber's death sentence.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev had been sentenced to die for his role in the 2013 bombing which killed 3 people and injured more than 250 others, including Haslet.

Haslet -- a professional dancer at the time -- required emergency surgery and lost her left leg from the knee down.

Her comeback story has been nothing short of inspirational -- she trained up and completed the marathon on a prosthetic leg in 2016.

But, after learning that an appeals court had overturned Tsarnaev's death sentence Friday ... she WENT OFF in a heated IG post.

"I’m so livid at today’s ruling by the federal court," Haslet said.

"First and foremost, I cannot emphasize enough, without a shadow of a doubt, that the criminal justice system needs a complete overhaul to stop racial profiling, and the death penalty is used in far too many cases of injustice. AND. The death penalty should be used in this particular case."

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

"This terrorist admitted in court he was guilty of crimes committed against our country. He confessed, with his brother, to a man who testified in court that their plans were to drive to New York and bomb the city too. This terrorist gave the finger when asked if he felt guilty."

She added, "He is a threat to all of us and he needs to die."

As for Tsarnaev, the appeals court believed some of the jurors in his trial were not completely truthful about how much information they had about the case while being selected.

The death sentence was vacated -- BUT there will be a new penalty phase of the trial where it's possible the new jury could still sentence him to death.

Haslet says if need be, "I’m ready to testify again. LFG."

Lee Ann Yanni Boston Bombing Survivor Returns to Course for '19 Marathon

COULDN'T DO IT WITHOUT THEM
TMZSports.com

Lee Ann Yanni -- who suffered major injuries in the 2013 Boston Marathon Bombing -- is returning to course on Monday to run 26.2 miles ... all to raise money for military families in need.

Yanni was a spectator at the 2013 marathon when shrapnel from one of the bombs hit her leg causing broken bones, severed nerves and other major injuries.

But, Yanni is a beast -- and just 6 months later, she completed the Chicago Marathon in 5 hours, 43 minutes. Amazing!

She's since completed the Boston Marathon TWICE -- once in 2014 and again in 2015.

And, on Monday, she'll lace up her shoes to do it again -- not only to stick it to the scumbags behind the bombing but also to raise money for the Semper Fi Fund.

The Fund provides resources and support for combat-wounded, critically ill and catastrophically injured members of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families. It's a great cause.

So, where did Yanni find the physical and emotional strength to get back out there? We spoke with the 37-year-old who told us she couldn't have done it alone.

Adrianne Haslet Undergoes 8-Hour Surgery ... Running Future In Jeopardy

THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT

Adrianne Haslet -- who lost her left leg in the '13 Boston Marathon bombing -- is recovering after undergoing an 8-hour surgery to rebuild her left side after being hit by a car on Saturday.

As we previously reported, Haslet -- who's been training for the 2019 Boston Marathon -- was hit while crossing the street around 7:15 PM by a driver making a left turn.

Haslet has undergone multiple procedures -- and says she's still pretty groggy after a major operation on Monday, where doctors "put in a bunch of metal plates and screws trying to rebuild ... because my entire left side was shattered."

She hasn't gone into specifics about her injuries -- but, obviously, it's bad.

Haslet says she's not certain if she'll be able to run again -- and admits she's too afraid to ask the doctors for a prognosis.

That said ... if there's anyone who's tough enough to bounce back from this tragedy -- it's Adrianne.

Remember, back in 2016 ... after she was fitted with a prosthetic leg, Haslet decided she was going to complete the Boston Marathon to prove as a way of turning tragedy into triumph.

Even Tom Brady was impressed at the time ... saying, "Adrianne thank you for being my inspiration!! #BostonStrong"

Boston Marathon Bombing Survivor Adrianne Haslet Hit By Car, Hospitalized

8:13 AM PT -- Adrianne shared an update before heading into surgery ... thanking people for their support and saying "I'm really scared. But, I think I'm in good hands."

TOUGH ROAD AHEAD

Adrianne Haslet -- the woman who ran a marathon after losing her leg in the 2013 Boston Marathon Bombing -- says she's "completely broken" after being hit by a car Saturday.

Haslet was hospitalized Saturday evening and has already undergone surgery. In a photo posted on social media, Haslet is seen in a hospital bed wearing a neck brace.

"Struck by a car on Commonwealth Avenue, while on a crosswalk," Haslet said in a statement ... "Thrown into the air and landed, crushing the left side of my body."

She added, "I’m completely broken. More surgery to come.”

Officials say the accident occurred around 7:15 PM -- the driver told police he didn't see Haslet because it was dark and rainy and she was wearing dark clothing.

Cops say the driver was cited for failing to stop of a pedestrian in a crosswalk.

Haslet's story is famous -- after losing her leg in the marathon bombing (while she was a spectator watching the race), she got a prosthetic running leg and trained her ass off to complete the Boston Marathon in 2016.

She had been training for the upcoming 2019 Boston Marathon in the weeks before she was struck by the car.

Boston Marathon Runners Soaked & Trash Baggin' In Crazy Rain Storm

Running the Boston Marathon is already hard as hell ... and that's without being caught in a TORRENTIAL DOWNPOUR like the runners in Beantown are Monday!

The field of about 30,000 competitors are gonna have to be Boston Strong to make it through today's race -- attempting to run 26-plus miles through a damn flood and winds approaching 40 MPH.

Race officials also say it's the coldest marathon in 30 years ... with a starting temp of 38 degrees.

It was a pretty crazy scene at the starting line -- athletes fitted in bandanas, ponchos and trash bags -- and it's only expected to get wetter with the rain picking up in the afternoon.

Watch your steps, people.

Adidas Taking Heat Over Email 'You Survived the Boston Marathon'

12:50 PM PT -- Adidas issued its mea culpa, saying: "We are incredibly sorry. Clearly, there was no thought given to the insensitive email subject line we sent Tuesday. We deeply apologize for our mistake."

How did nobody screen this?!?!?

Adidas is under fire Tuesday after sending out a mass email with the subject line: "Congrats, you survived the Boston Marathon!"

C'mon people ... really?!

The email opened into an advertisement urging runners to buy Boston Marathon gear like shirts and jackets ... but people are pissed at the lack of sensitivity after the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing.

Three people were killed and hundreds were injured in the attack.

So far, no comment from Adidas ... but someone has some serious 'splainin to do.

Adrianne Haslet FINISHES BOSTON MARATHON ... 3 Years After Losing Leg In Bombing

SHE DID IT!!!

Adrianne Haslet has just crossed the finish line in the Boston Marathon ... 3 years after losing her leg while a spectator at the very same race.

Boston Marathon Survivor DANCING AGAIN After Losing Leg In Bombing

This is an AMAZING story ... Adrianne Haslet-Davis -- who lost her left leg in the Boston Marathon bombing -- is DANCING AGAIN after being equipped with a bionic limb.

Rolling Stone 'Bomber' Cover Banned at 7-Eleven

Rolling Stone's cover story about the Boston Marathon bomber just got the magazine yanked out of nearly 2,000 7-Eleven stores, and more could follow ... TMZ has learned.

The omnipresent convenient store is joining the national outrage over the mag's upcoming issue with Dzhokhar Tsarnaev on the cover, and an investigation into his life leading up to the bombing.

A rep for 7-Eleven, Inc. tells TMZ it "will not sell the Aug. 1 issue of the Rolling Stone magazine in its company-operated stores."

There are 1,700 company operated stores -- and another 5,900 franchised stores. The rep says they'll also urge those franchise owners to pull the issue.

Yesterday, CVS, Walgreens, and Stop & Shop all said they will not sell the issue either.

Rolling Stone Boycotting Our Cover is a Boycot of the Constitution

Bostonians upset by the new Rolling Stone cover -- featuring Boston bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev -- need to grow up and learn from the tragedy that rocked their city ... according to the magazine's editors.

The editors just released a statement, saying their hearts go out to the Boston bombing victims -- but "the cover story we are publishing this week falls within the traditions of journalism and Rolling Stone's longstanding commitment to serious and thoughtful coverage."

The statement continues, "The fact that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is young, and in the same age group as many of our readers, makes it all the more important for us to examine the complexities of this issue and gain a more complete understanding of how a tragedy like this happens."

In other words, we're exercising our 1st Amendment rights to investigate a terrorist -- so, stop burying your heads in the sand, people.

As we reported, CVS and the Boston-based Roche Bros. supermarkets have boycotted the latest issue of the magazine because of its controversial cover ... saying it's disrespectful to the victims.

CVS Boycotting Rolling Stone Over Boston Bomber Cover

The Boston supermarket chain Roche Bros. is also boycotting the magazine -- a rep tells TMZ, "When Roche Bros. learned of the cover for the current issue of Rolling Stone, we chose not to offer that product for sale in our stores. We join with our customers and neighbors in focusing on the recovery of the victims and our community."

Walgreens and Stop & Shop have also boycotted the magazine.

CVS apparently believes the First Amendment has limits ... because the pharmacy chain just announced it won't hawk the latest issue of Rolling Stone, featuring Boston Bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev on the cover.

A rep for CVS says "As a company with deep roots in New England and a strong presence in Boston, we believe this is the right decision out of respect for the victims of the attack and their loved ones."

It's kind of a bizarre reaction, since the story is about how Tsarnaev "fell into radical Islam and became a monster."

So we gotta ask ...

Boston Bombing Suspect I'm Not Guilty

Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev insists he wasn't the one behind the horrific explosions in April that killed 3 people and injured 260 more -- pleading not guilty today in Boston federal court.

19-year-old Tsarnaev pled not guilty to 30 counts total -- including use of a weapon of mass destruction to kill.

Federal prosecutors are currently deciding whether to pursue the death penalty for Tsarnaev. FYI, there is no death penalty in Massachusetts, but since Tsarnaev is facing multiple federal charges, the death penalty is on the table.

Dzhokar's brother Tamerlan -- who was believed to have committed the atrocity with him -- was killed three days following the bombing in a shootout with police.

Dzhokar remains in custody.

Boston Marathon Bombing Suspect Courtroom Showdown Begins

Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has just arrived to federal court -- in a plain white van -- where he will be arraigned for the April 15 attack.

According to WHDH in Boston, Dzhokhar's van was accompanied by a motorcade -- presumably to keep the bomber safe.

Prosecutors believe Dzhokhar and his scumbag brother executed the horrific Boston Marathon bombing, which killed 3 people -- including an 8-year-old boy -- and injured more than 260 others.

The families of the victims are also expected to appear in court.

Boston Bombing Suspect Supporter UNLOADS Pressure Cooker 'Is Way Too Heavy to Carry'

An ardent supporter of the "Free Dzhokhar Tsarnaev" movement fervently believes the Boston bombing suspect is innocent -- and among her points of defense ... a pressure cooker bomb is "way too heavy" to carry around in a backpack.

Sarah Cook called in to "TMZ Live" yesterday to explain why Dzhokhar is innocent, claiming the mainstream media is unfairly turning the public opinion against the 19-year-old without reporting all the facts.

But Sarah's defense is holier than Swiss cheese -- and her worst argument ... Dzhokhar couldn't have carried a pressure cooker bomb in his backpack because they're "way too heavy."

FYI, a pressure cooker bomb weighs roughly 30 pounds ... certainly not out of the realm of possibility for a 19-year-old male.

The interview's pretty great ... so we gotta ask ...
