Who needs D.A.R.E. when you've got Britney Spears?
4 songs in, Brit's lip synching show in Vancouver was shut down -- an announcement proclaiming excessive smoking made it "uncomfortable and unsafe for the performers" in the arena.
After 30 minutes, the air was deemed "clean" again and Spears continued -- but ended the show by shouting "Drive safe, don't smoke weed and rock out with your c**ks out! Peace mother f**kers!"
Britney Spears' conservatorship hearings are usually tedious arguments about money -- but today's hearing could mean Britney Spears is taking her tour Down Under. G'day, y'all!
Lawyers today raised the idea of expanding Brit's tour to include dates in Australia and parts of Europe. Currently Britney's tour dates are in the U.S. and Canada, with a few dates in London in June.
Nothing was decided upon today. They are due back in court April 14.
When Britney Spears shows up at a nightclub, it's a big deal. And when she doesn't show -- it's a lawsuit.
A club in Atlanta is suing a talent agency because it allegedly promised to deliver one Britney Spears after her Atlanta concert last month but didn't deliver the goods.
According to the lawsuit, the guys from the agency claimed to rep Britney and took more than $15,000 after claiming they had authority to act on Britney's behalf. But the suit claims the only song and dance the club got was from the defendants -- they allegedly never had the power to book her.
The club is suing for damages in excess of $100,000.
Looking like a "Real Housewife of Orange County," reassembled popstar Britney Spears got freaked from behind by rumored boyfriend/backup dancer Chase Benz at a club in Dallas the other night.
"Hey y'all. Can someone get me a conservatorship on the rocks, please?"
Lily Allen, Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears -- a train wreck trifecta if we've ever heard of one -- all came together last night at the Wiltern.
Allen performed Brit Brit's "Womanizer" for the crowd at her L.A. concert -- and Lohan jumped up on stage to flail her arms around and attempt to sing alongside her. Spears would be proud.
TMZ has learned the attorney for Britney Spears' conservatorship has guaranteed Britney will meet all her obligations on her concert tour -- and he's putting his money where his mouth is.
We've obtained documents showing attorney Andrew Wallet has given his personal assurance -- to the tune of $1.5 million -- that if Britney flakes out, he'll pay up.
The conservatorship made numerous deals for the tour last year, and vendors wanted to make sure those deals would be honored. It's common practice to get what amounts to a bond when the subject of the contract is under a conservatorship.
The document, which was signed by the court on December 22, 2008, also makes American Contractors Indemnity Company a guarantor.
In short, this means that if Britney goes south, Wallet won't have to open his -- the insurance company will take care of it.
Britney Spears' paparazzo ex boyfriend, Adnan Ghalib, showed up to Van Nuys court today for a preliminary hearing in the case in which he's accused of hitting a process server with his car. Too bad he showed up for nothing.
A judge granted Adnan's defense team's request for a continuation until May 4. Adnan has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon, battery and hit and run for the alleged incident that occurred back in February.
Sam Lutfi's sister (who knew he had one) testified in court today that she played middle man to help Britney Spears stay in touch with Sam -- and her version of the story sounds like a James Bond movie.
During a hearing in L.A. Superior Court regarding the temporary restraining order (TRO) against Sam, Christina Lutfi said Britney called her in mid-January. According to Christina, Britney said she wanted Sam to get her a new lawyer, and a pre-paid cell phone.
Presumably, that would allow Brit to circumvent the TRO and talk to Sam without her dad Jamie's knowledge.
Now imagine this scene: Christina says she met Brit on January 16 in the sauna at a posh Beverly Hills hotel to deliver the cell phone. She claims the drop went down while Brit's mom and bodyguards were nearby in the hotel.
Lutfi also testified that Britney said she "felt like a prisoner," was "afraid of her father" and that he was threatening to take away her kids.
Despite the testimony, the judge refused to lift the TRO. The hearing was continued to April 21 when closing arguments will be heard.
So there's a voicemail recording that just started circulating -- a message allegedly left by Britney Spears, worrying that daddy Jamie might take the kids from her.
The tape, which JFXonline claims was recorded on January 21, 2009, sounds like a message left for a lawyer -- we think we know who ... the dude who's been meddling in Britney's affairs for a year now. She talks about ending the conservatorship.
P.S. -- Sounds like she's ok with Jamie now, since he's been with her on tour and the conservatorship is running the show ... which is raking in the dough.
Two roadies working on the Britney Spears "Circus" tour made a hit record of their own last night -- after cops say they got into a crazy street fight with police officers.
It all went down last night in Pittsburgh, when cops say they saw Rockey Dickey (right) -- a member of Brit's road crew -- punching some random dude in the face. When an officer tried to stop the fight, Dickey allegedly turned and took a swing at the cop.
Cops said Dickey would not cooperate when officers tried to handcuff him, and a taser was used to subdue him. But it gets worse...
Officers say Alex Montes (left)-- who also works for Britney Spears -- tried to save his buddy by putting one of the arresting officers in a headlock. Cops say Montes managed to leave the scene, but he was located and arrested a short time later.
According to WPXI, the station that broke the story, Dickey and Montes have been charged with criminal conspiracy, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. Dickey is also charged with simple assault and resisting arrest.
Spears is set to play Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh Friday night -- minus two employees.
UPDATE: This statement was just put on Britney's website: "Last night two employees of a company contracted to provide equipment for The Circus Starring Britney Spears tour were arrested in Pittsburgh, PA. However, neither of the men involved are employees of the tour or Ms. Spears. The two individuals have since been dismissed by their employer. The Circus Starring Britney Spears tour does not support or tolerate this type of behavior."
Britney Spears' comeback -- priceless. Hiring lawyers to help make it happen -- $2.7 million.
Britney's conservators have hired a total of 17 lawyers and law firms to handle her affairs over the last 14 months. According to legal papers filed in L.A. County Superior Court yesterday, the fees just keep on piling up.
The attorneys representing Jamie Spears have racked up more than $1 mil in fees.
Britney has made the legal profession recession-proof -- clearly.
