Richard Branson Necker Island Devastated by Irma

9/10/2017 1:48 PM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

Richard Branson's private Caribbean island was virtually decimated by Hurricane Irma ... and TMZ has learned there were some animal casualties.

TMZ obtained these photos, which vividly show the power of the storm on Necker Island. The main house was all but destroyed and some of the surrounding structures are gone.

As we reported, Branson and his crew weathered the storm from a basement and they all survived.

Branson had an awesome menagerie of exotic animals on the property and we're told a number of them didn't make it through the hurricane ... but many did. We're told 250 flamingos are going strong, as are 60 lemurs.

We're told all of the parrots and toucans also survived. Our Necker Island sources say Branson converted his wine cellar into an animal hospital and shelter for the injured, weak and scared.

Branson shared some photos and video of the wreckage himself Sunday, and it only confirms the damage to his home.

He says he's now mobilizing aid efforts in Puerto Rico.

Mariel Hemingway Tells Manager of Hemingway House Get the Hell Out!!!

9/8/2017 12:50 AM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

Mariel Hemingway is pleading for the 72-year-old manager of her grandfather's Key West home to evacuate before Hurricane Irma hits ... just take the cats and get out of Dodge.

The Oscar-nominated actress and granddaughter of Ernest Hemingway tells TMZ ... she thinks it's noble Hemingway Home's manager, Jacqui Sands, plans to stay put to hold down the fort and take care of its kitties -- but it's just not worth it.

Mariel offers Jacqui another option -- pack up the cats and GTFO.

As we reported ... the 1850's home -- where Hemingway wrote "A Farewell to Arms" and "The Snows of Kilimanjaro" -- is almost certainly going to be an Irma casualty, and cops say they won't be able to help Sands if she stays.

Mariel admires the manager's courage ... but fears she might be taking one of Ernest's famous quotes a little too far.

Hurricane Irma Hemingway Home Almost Certainly an Irma Casualty

9/7/2017 12:20 PM PDT
Exclusive Details

The legendary Ernest Hemingway home appears doomed ... an almost certain casualty of Hurricane Irma ... this according to local law enforcement.

The Key West home -- made of wood and built in the 1850's -- sits about 16 feet above sea level, which is the highest point on the island. Law enforcement tells us they're expecting at least 15 feet of water to flood the area ... so the outcome is bleak.

The Hemingway Home's manager, 72-year-old Jacqui Sands, has already said she's staying put to maintain the home and its 55 or so roaming cats. Jacqui and some staff are boarding up and bunkering down.

If Jacqui or her staff are injured, cops say they'll be left to fend for themselves, because hospitals, ERs, rescue crews and other government assistance will not be available.

A farewell to Hemingway?

Hurricane Irma Celebrity Homes in Path of Destruction

9/7/2017 10:15 AM PDT

Hurricane Irma is poised to wreak havoc in the Miami area, and a bunch of enormous celebrity homes are in the line of extreme danger.

Gloria Estefan, Diddy, and 'Real Housewives of Miami' stars Roy and Lea Black all own homes on star-studded Star Island -- Gloria actually has 2 -- both in Irma's path.

Likewise for nearby Miami Beach, where celebs like Phil Collins, Shakira, Dwyane Wade, and Birdman are in the hurricane's path. Same goes for the Villa Casa Casuarina -- the famed Versace mansion. And there are a slew of other celebs with mega homes in the danger zone.

Irma's expected to hit with a vengeance over the weekend.

Scott Disick Live Like The Lord For $60k a Month

8/30/2017 12:40 AM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

Scott Disick's stunning Hidden Hills home is up for rent, if you got $60k a month to spare, but not just anyone is eligible for a walk-thru.

We're told Scott's aware Kardashian fans might want a peek inside the crib so anyone wanting to see the place will go through a strict vetting process.

We're told Scott's hoping to score a long-term lease with the option to buy ... and the home's not cheap.

Scott bought the 7 bed, 6 1/2 bath house for $6 million in 2015 and made a bunch of upgrades before putting it back on the market 6 months later for $8.8 million. It didn't move so the price was dropped to $7.8 million. Tomer Fridman of Compass has the listing.

Another bonus ... the rental comes fully furnished.

Arian Foster's Houston home is halfway under water, thanks to Hurricane Harvey.

The ex-Houston Texans running back still has a home in the area -- and his entire street has been hit hard from the storm.

"Neighbors took a video of our crib from across the street," Foster wrote while posting video showing several homes submerged ... while the rain continues to pour.

So far, at least 5 people have died from the storm and thousands of residents have been forced to leave town -- including Foster.

Foster's former teammate, J.J. Watt, has kick-started a campaign to help hurricane relief ... and is hoping to raise $500k for flood victims.

Rihanna Snaps Up New Crib In Same Hood Kendall Left

8/23/2017 3:59 PM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

Kendall Jenner's WeHo hood is Rihanna's future hang ... 'cause she just closed on a mansion right near the house KJ fled.

Sources close to the deal tell TMZ ... Rihanna recently purchased the crib above the Sunset Strip for a cool $6.8 million. It's got 6 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms and just over 7,000 square feet of space. There's also a movie theater inside, a fully equipped gym, a fireplace, a billiard room and a guest house ... plus a pool and a huge yard.

It's also gated ... which could come in handy around those parts. As we reported, Kendall recently unloaded her WeHo home after about a year of grief -- which included a stalker encounter and a high dollar theft.

No sign of concern from Rihanna just yet, though. Just a moving truck.

Chandler Parsons Slam Dunks On A $11 Million Bel-Air Pad

8/21/2017 12:58 PM PDT
Exclusive Details

Memphis Grizzlies small forward Chandler Parsons' new Bel-Air crib has a pool, 6 bedrooms, 5.5 baths and an outdoor fire pit but it doesn't look like he'll be getting any practice shots in at home.

Parsons, who's been linked to Hailey Baldwin and Bella Thorne, just dropped $11 million on a beautiful, open air Bel-Air home. He kinda made off with a deal on the place ... the original asking price was $13.3 million.

While it doesn't have a hoop ... he'll still get a workout in just walking around the place ... it's 9,100 square feet! It also has a full service bar which will require a different kind of stamina.

Farrah Aldjufrie and Melissa Platt from The Agency worked with Chandler on the purchase.

Jay-Z New Bel Air Homeowner Acknowledges Kanye Feud

8/19/2017 7:56 AM PDT

Jay-Z re-surfaced in London Friday night, after opening up about his feud with Kanye West.

Jay hit up Chiltern Firehouse, after releasing his interview on Tidal, in which he says Kanye crossed the line when he ranted on stage about Jay's wife and kids during Kanye's meltdown period.

You'll recall, Kanye called out Beyonce at his Sacramento show last November, saying she's a diva. And Jay groused Kanye never brought Blue Ivy to his house so all the kids could play.

When Jay comes back to the U.S.A., he'll have his very own home, because the $90 million Bel Air estate he and Beyonce bought just closed escrow.

Kylie Jenner Flips This House

8/18/2017 11:09 AM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

Kylie Jenner's downsizing her empire ... selling a second home in less than a month.

Kylie flipped a Hidden Hills home she bought just a year ago ... selling it for around the asking price of $5.4 million. Not a bad profit, considering she plunked down $4.5 mil to buy it.

The 4 bed, 4 bath, 5,154 sq. ft. pad is one of 3 homes Kylie owned in the Hidden Hills 'hood ... it's right next door to her $6 mil palace and down the street from her $12 mil mansion. She's still got those ... but she sold her Calabasas starter home in July.

Kylie's go-to realtor, Tomer Fridman of Compass, helped her seal the deal.

So if you're keeping track -- Kylie went from 4 homes to 2 homes in a month ... and is very, very rich.

The White House Torn Apart For Renovations

8/11/2017 8:26 AM PDT

The White House is now a disaster ... by design.

1600 Pennsylvania is a construction zone ... the Oval Office empty, heavy equipment shielding the exterior ... the press room looking like a scene from "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition."

It's all part of plan to upgrade the heating and air conditioning systems, along with other improvements.

That's why President Trump got outta dodge, along with everyone else for the month of August.

After all, if it really is a swamp, you need good A.C.

U.S. vs. North Korea Nuclear Showdown Bomb Shelter Business Explodes

8/10/2017 10:53 AM PDT

The nuclear brinkmanship between the leaders of North Korea and the United States has been good for at least one business ... bomb shelters.

We did some digging, just like the companies that are offering to trick out the homes of fearful Americans for a hefty price. Here's what we found.

-- Atlas Survival Shelters has sold more than 30 units in the last few days. The company is based in Southern California but the orders come far and wide ... as far away as Japan. Models start at around $10k. The owner says he considers himself the Henry Ford of bunker makers because he's making them "affordable for the everyday man." Top of the line goes for $165k. The owner tells us in the last 3 days he's sold as many shelters as he would have sold in 1 year, 6 years ago.

-- Rising S Bunker offers a starter bunker for $45k but the top-of-the-line, "The Aristrocrat," will set you back $8.35 million.

-- Vivos can dig 30 feet underground and customize your bunker ... starting at $35k. They're luxurious, a full size kitchen, spa, pool tables, but that'll cost you extra.

-- Safecastle offers a $19k bunker which is bare bones but it could still save you ... so they claim.

Check out the pics ... they're not your granddaddy's bomb shelters.

Kendall Jenner Unloads Jinxed WeHo Home

8/9/2017 10:00 AM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

Kendall Jenner is selling her house of horrors ... TMZ has learned.

Our sources say Kendall has a buyer on the line for the home that was burglarized earlier this year. It's also the house where a crazed fan followed her up her driveway.

So, after arrests, restraining orders and grief, we've learned Kendall's WeHo home is now in escrow. We don't know what the buyer is paying, but we're guessing if Kendall got anywhere near the $6.5 mil she paid, she's more than happy to make a quick exit.

TMZ first reported, the fam -- especially mama Kris -- was adamantly against Kendall buying the house in the first place, because it wasn't in a gated community and it was perilously close to the Sunset Strip.

Looks like mama was right.
