"He overcame a lot of that stuff and didn't succumb to the pressures around him and really made something positive out of his life."

Ezekiel Elliott I GIVE UP!! Withdraws Appeal, Will Serve 6-Game Suspension

11/15/2017 2:18 PM PST
Breaking News

It's all over. For real this time.

Ezekiel Elliott has officially waved the white flag ... and has agreed to serve the NFL's 6-game domestic violence suspension -- effective immediately.

The Dallas Cowboys star had been fighting like hell in court ... filing every possible appeal in the hopes of eventually having a judge throw out the punishment since Zeke denied the allegations and was never convicted of a crime.

But just like Tom Brady ... Zeke eventually decided enough was enough and instructed his legal team to lay down the sword.

"In consultation with the NFLPA and his lawyers, and after careful deliberation and review of the recent 2nd Circuit decisions, Mr. Elliott has decided to forego any further appeals and will serve the remaining suspension," his agents said in a statement.

"This decision arises from a practical assessment of the current legal landscape. Mr. Elliott's desire for closure in this matter is in his best interest, as well as the best interests of his teammates, family and friends."

"This decision is in no way an admission of any wrongdoing, and Mr. Elliott is pleased that the legal fight mounted by he and his team resulted in disclosing many hidden truths regarding this matter as well publicly exposing the NFL's mismanagement of its disciplinary process."

"Mr. Elliott will maximize this time away from the game and come back even stronger both on and off the field. He intends to release a final personal statement in the upcoming weeks and until then we have no further comment."

Reggie Bush 'Comfortable' Not Playing in NFL But If Cowboys Call ...

11/10/2017 9:36 AM PST
EXCLUSIVE

With Ezekiel Elliott expected to FINALLY serve his 6-game suspension (maybe) -- the Dallas Cowboys could be in the market for a running back ... so .... enter Reggie Bush??

Maybe not ...

The 32-year-old says he's really comfortable NOT playing right now -- even though he's still training -- and it wouldn't be an automatic "Yes" if Jerry Jones came calling.

Of course, the twist to the whole thing is Reggie told us back in Sept. he'd retire if he doesn't get picked up this season. So ... seems like we may have seen the last of Bush in the league.

Ezekiel Elliott 6-Game Suspension Back On ... Again

11/9/2017 12:57 PM PST
Breaking News

Ezekiel Elliott's 6-game suspension is back on ... after the NFL superstar's motion for an emergency injunction pending appeal was denied by the U.S. 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals.

A 3-judge panel determined Zeke's legal team didn't meet the requisite standard ... which means he'll officially begin serving his suspension against the Atlanta Falcons this weekend.

The NFL Players Association can still appeal (again) to the full 2nd Circuit Court ... which would be heard on an expedited schedule.

If that doesn't go in Zeke's favor ... he'll be eligible to return to the Cowboys on December 24 against the Seattle Seahawks.

Ezekiel Elliott: 'I'm Not an Abuser'

11/3/2017 12:06 PM PDT
Breaking News

Ezekiel Elliott says he's willing to fight his domestic violence suspension for as LONG AS IT TAKES TO CLEAR HIS NAME ... because, "I'm not an abuser."

The Dallas Cowboys running back just explained why he's so insistent on fighting the NFL instead of serving his 6-game suspension in a strong locker statement, according to ESPN's Josina Anderson

"This is bigger than a suspension. It's bigger than football. It's them trying to make me something I'm not. I'm not an abuser. That's not who I am."

He continued, "This is my name and this is my reputation. That's something that I have to live with beyond football so, everyday is worth fighting for."

Zeke just won another appeal, clearing him to play Sunday against the Chiefs -- but his future beyond that is still in limbo.

Ezekiel Elliott Cleared to Play Again Screws More Fantasy Owners

11/3/2017 7:19 AM PDT

Did you drop Ezekiel Elliott from your fantasy team this week amid rumblings his 6-game suspension was finally gonna stick???

Well, guess what dummy ... HE'S BACK!

In the seemingly never-ending saga of will he/won't he play this week -- the Second Circuit Court of Appeals has granted Zeke's request to prevent the league from immediately enforcing his domestic violence suspension.

So, what does it all mean? Simply ... he's cleared to play the Chiefs on Sunday (big game) -- and then his fight is back on.

The next phase -- a 3-judge panel will hear the case and issue a ruling, which the losing side will undoubtedly appeal.

Should be resolved by the time Zeke retires.

Jerry Jones Zeke's a Victim of 'Over-Correction' For Ray Rice Suspension

10/31/2017 8:48 AM PDT
Breaking News

Jerry Jones says Roger Goodell is trying to redeem himself for mishandling the Ray Rice situation by going extra hard on Ezekiel Elliott ... saying the commish turned Zeke into a "victim of an over-correction."

Zeke's request for a preliminary injunction was denied by a U.S. District judge on Monday ...  upholding his 6-game suspension.

Jones addressed the newest update with "Shan & RJ" on 105.3 The Fan ... saying Goodell knows he went too easy on Rice, and is now trying to appease the public by burying Zeke.

"I'm sure he'd like to take back his initial Ray Rice stance and a few others. And he's in the process of having tried to correct that and doing so, Zeke is a victim of an over-correction."

Ezekiel Elliott Eligible to Play, Again Suspension Back On Hold

10/17/2017 5:09 PM PDT
Breaking News

Ezekiel Elliott is eligible to play once again ... after being granted a temporary restraining order from a New York Southern District Court.

As a result, Zeke's suspension has been put on hold for 14 days -- meaning the Cowboys RB can take the field for the team's next two games against the 49ers and Redskins, barring any further proceedings.

Last Thursday, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals vacated the preliminary injunction that prohibited the league from imposing the six-game suspension.

Today's temporary restraining order now puts the 6-game ban back on ice.

Jerry Jones: Ezekiel Elliott Is Getting Screwed

10/13/2017 10:03 AM PDT
Breaking News

Jerry Jones thinks Ezekiel Elliott is getting a raw deal -- saying the 6-game suspension is simply unfair.

The Dallas Cowboys owner called in to "G-Bag Nation" on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas early Friday morning and said, "I'm very familiar with all of the facts and the details of this case. Very familiar ... Zeke did not get treated fairly here."

As we previously reported, a federal appeals court issued a ruling essentially clearing the way for the NFL to enforce the 6-game suspension it handed to Elliott as a result of a domestic violence investigation

Elliott was never charged with a crime -- but the NFL's private investigators believe Elliott did, in fact, attack his girlfriend back in 2016.  Zeke denies all wrongdoing and Jones clearly believes him.

"Zeke and his team and the Cowboys do not think [the NFL's suspension and punishment process] was done in a fair way. We are trying to get that looked at, and we got a setback yesterday."

As for Elliott, his lawyer says the RB is exploring his legal options.

Kroy Biermann Advice to Ezekiel Elliott: 'Don't Do Dumb Sh*t'

10/13/2017 12:30 AM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

If Ezekiel Elliott really wants to help the Dallas Cowboys, he'd abide by one simple rule -- "Don't do dumb sh*t."

That's the advice NFL linebacker Kroy Biermann had for Elliott when we told him all about the RB's suspension going back into effect on Thursday.

Biermann doesn't think the 6-game ban will kill the Cowboys -- but it definitely doesn't help.

The bigger issue for Kroy ... Zeke needs to make better life choices -- and he gives him a step-by-step guide on how to stop screwing up off the field.

Ezekiel Elliott's 6-Game Suspension Back On ... For Now

10/12/2017 1:54 PM PDT
Breaking News

3:01 PM PT -- An NFL spokesman provided TMZ Sports the following statement ...

"Earlier today, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals vacated the preliminary injunction that prohibited the league from imposing the six-game suspension issued to Ezekiel Elliott for a violation of the Personal Conduct Policy.  The Court also directed the district court to dismiss the union’s lawsuit which was filed on Elliott’s behalf."

"As a result, Elliott’s suspension will begin effective immediately. Elliott is eligible to return to the team on Friday, November 24 following the Cowboys' Thursday, November 23 game against the Los Angeles Chargers."

2:56 PM PT -- Elliott's agent Frank Salzano tells us, “We are currently exploring all of our legal options and will make a decision as to what is the best course of action in the next few days. Until that time we have no further comment on the 5th circuit’s decision.”

Bad news for the Dallas Cowboys ... a federal appeals court has ruled Ezekiel Elliott's 6-game suspension is back on.

A federal appeals court made a ruling today ... essentially throwing out a lower court's ruling that allowed Zeke to play

So, what does it all mean?

For now, the NFL's initial domestic violence punishment stands -- and the league has been cleared to enforce the 6-game suspension

The Cowboys happen to be on a bye week -- which gives Zeke's team some time to counterpunch and fight the ruling.

The NFL had initially moved to suspend Zeke after a private investigation found he physically abused his girlfriend on multiple occasions.

Important to note, Elliott was never prosecuted for the incidents -- and he maintains his innocence.

But due to the collective bargaining agreement, the NFL believes it doesn't need a conviction to punish a player.

Michael Irvin I'd Love to See JT at the Super Bowl ... Without Janet Jackson

10/9/2017 12:15 AM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

Michael Irvin is PUMPED over Justin Timberlake potentially doing the Super Bowl LII halftime show ... as long as his nipplegate partner stays at home.

Irvin says he was blown away by JT's set at Jerry Jones' Hall of Fame party this year ... and thinks he'd be the perfect pickup for the Big Game.

"It was incredible, man. He did a hell of a job, A HELL OF A JOB," Mike told TMZ Sports.

But when we floated the idea of Janet Jackson joining Justin on stage, you could tell the Cowboys legend wasn't a fan -- "I don't think so."

FYI, Janet was still on the SB blacklist last we checked ... but it seems like JT's in the clear even though he's the one who, well ... ya know.

The real question -- is Irvin down with 'NSYNC?
