1030-mark-cuban-twitter-02Mark Cuban -- swag game weak.

The Dallas Mavericks owner is havin' a tough week -- first, he loses to the Clippers ... and now, one of his own players is blasting his fashion sense.

Chandler Parsons went to Twitter to try and social media shame his boss -- posting a pic of Cuban in a Three Commas t-shirt, a pair of dad jeans and some sneaks ... with the caption, "NBA needs a new dress code for owners."

BTW, we didn't think the shirt was thaaaat bad.

The jeans on the other hand ...

Mark Cuban I REJECT Your 'Hoverboard' And What's My Player Doing There?

8/30/2015 7:48 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

0830-w-caption-mark-cuban-iohawk-TWITTER-01Mark Cuban isn't messing around ... he's on the warpath against anyone who dares sell a "hoverboard," and it could be one of his basketball players is about to learn a hard lesson on the subject of crossing his boss.

John Soibatian, Prez of IO Hawk, made the offer Saturday, to give Mark one of his very own.  The subtext is great ... Mark just partnered with the guy who owns the patent to the device and has said he's planning on suing everyone who markets a knockoff.

Soibatian apparently thought he could win Mark over by posing with JaVale McGee ... who just signed as center for the Dallas Mavericks -- THE TEAM MARK OWNS!

Mark's response makes it clear ... judgment day is coming.  And BTW, what's JaVale thinking?

Raymond Felton I'm No Lindsay Lohan ... Clears Up Gun Case

7/22/2015 12:13 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

0722-raymond-felton-getty-01Dallas Mavericks point guard Raymond Felton knocked off 500 hours of community service to put an end to his odd gun case that seemed to start with a bitter divorce.

Felton pled guilty last year to a felony gun charge after his estranged wife turned in his gun to NYPD. The semi-automatic weapon had an illegal 20-round extended magazine, so ... he was screwed.

Felton's lawyer went into a Manhattan court Wednesday morning to show proof the ex-Knick completed his community service hours, and also paid a $5,000 fine.

That's how ya do it, LiLo.

Watch the video ... 'cause DeAndre's response makes it clear he's soooo FULL of something, and that's dessert.

breaking news

0710_mark_cuban_DeAndre-Jordan_TMZMark Cuban says he got straight lied to by DeAndre Jordan -- claiming the NBA star insisted he was "on a date" Wednesday night ... when he was really in a secret meeting with the Clippers.

Cuban just went to CyberDust -- and admitted he did swing by Jordan's Houston house when he started to become suspicious that DeAndre was having second thoughts about joining the Mavs.

"There was no one home. So I texted him saying that I was there. I know something is up. Let's talk. He texted me that he was on a date."

"I told him to have fun. I wasn't in a rush, that I was happy to come by there and say hi or if he wanted to make the date fun, take them to Dallas for a night out."

"He didn't respond."

Of course, there was no date -- only Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and others ... who convinced Jordan to blow off his verbal deal with the Mavs and resign with the Clippers.

Cuban was clearly frustrated -- but says he's moving on.

Mark Cuban I'm Over DeAndre But His Name Makes Me Cringe

7/9/2015 4:07 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Mark Cuban says he's MOVING ON from the DeAndre Jordan drama ... saying he wants to focus on the future ... but he still doesn't wanna have to hear his name in public.

The Dallas Mavericks owner was speaking at the Presidential Leadership Scholars 2015 Graduation at S.M.U. ... when the M.C. brought up the Jordan scandal.

"Aw, you had to say his name," Cuban joked ... before explaining that he considers the matter over.

When asked to reflect on the drama, Cuban said ... "There's nothing you can do about it. You think for a second, 'Is there anything I can change?'"

"You think for another second, 'What have I learned so I can do it differently next time?' And then you move forward and say, What are our options?'"

Cuban said he's not worried about the Mavs -- "We have this big tall German who's pretty good and he's still around."

"I think we've got great leadership, a great team and we're gonna keep on moving forward."

breaking news

Mark Cuban is finally opening up about what happened between him and DeAndre Jordan last night -- claiming the NBA star didn't pick up his call ONCE ... and says he hasn't heard from him since Tuesday night.

As you know, Jordan backed out of a verbal deal with the Mavs that would have paid him $80 million over 4 years ... after having an emergency meeting with the L.A. Clippers last night.

Moments ago, the Mavs owner went to CyberDust and said, "There will be a time when I detail everything I know regarding the last 48 hours."

"I don't think the time is right to say anything beyond the facts that [Jordan] never responded to me at all yesterday. Not once. To this minute I have not heard anything from him since Tuesday night."

Sources connected to the situation tell TMZ Sports Cuban was BLOWING UP DeAndre's phone yesterday -- calling several times throughout the day and night.

Cuban also talked about the Mavs other big free agent acquisition, Wes Mathews -- saying Dallas should NOT worry about Wes backing out like DeAndre.

"I specifically told Wes that I would not hold him to his commitment if he wanted to go elsewhere."

"I can't print his exact response, but suffice to say he is excited to play for our Mavs :) Wes Matthews is exactly the type of player we want in a Mavs uniform and our fans will love him."

Turns out the 21-year-old is from Dallas and happens to be a big fan of the big fella -- and when we asked if he could golf with any celeb in the world, the first name that came to mind was Dirk.

Good news for Jordan ... the feeling's mutual -- in fact, the Dallas Mavericks star fired off a congratulatory tweet at Spieth right after he won the Masters this weekend. So, it seems pretty likely they'll end up on the links together.

See, sometimes dreams really can come true ... when you dominate one of the biggest competitions in professional sports.

4/1/2015 10:24 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Derek Jeter just got some major props from one of the most respected guys in the business world -- Mark Cuban ... who tells TMZ Sports Jeter's newest endeavor could be a real money maker.

FYI -- Jeter is reportedly opening a brand new restaurant at Tampa International Airport called The Players’ Tribute Bar & Grill ... inspired by his digital media company, The Players’ Tribune.

Cuban pointed out that 95% of restaurants fail ... but says Jeter has what it takes to turn the place into a winner.

Bonus -- we also asked the Dallas Mavs owner if he still hates those NBA jerseys with the sleeves. (Hint: he does).

NBA's Richard Jefferson Buys Hat Off Dude's Head ... For $700!

3/25/2015 12:45 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

You ever see a fashion item that you just NEEDED TO HAVE???

NBA star Richard Jefferson did -- a Vans cheetah-print snapback baseball hat ... and he paid $700 to buy it off some random dude's head!!!

RJ was at Hi Fi Kitchen & Cocktails in Scottsdale, AZ Saturday night -- when a dude named Andrew walked in with the cheetah cap.

Andrew tells TMZ Sports ... the Dallas Mavs star beelined it over his way with cash in hand ... and started making offers for the dome piece. Andrew declined at first ... but ultimately gave in for a handful of $100 bills -- 7 in total.

So, why was Jefferson so obsessed with the hat? Andrew says RJ actually purchased the lid for teammate Chandler Parsons ... who was also eyeing the cap that night.

The best part of the story -- Andrew says he originally bought the hat for $25.

Not a bad return on investment.

NBA's Richard Jefferson I GOT JACKED FOR $2 Million ... FBI On the Case

3/15/2015 12:45 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

It's like a real-life version of "The Wire" ... NBA star Richard Jefferson says he was taken for $2 MILLION ... and played a key role in a covert FBI operation to catch the (alleged) bad guy and recover his cash.

It's all part of new legal docs obtained by TMZ Sports ... in which the 34-year-old Dallas Mavericks forward claims his former business manager Ted Kritza drew $2 million from Richard's bank credit line without permission.

Jefferson says he reported the crime to the FBI which launched an investigation -- an investigation that included RJ getting Kritza on the phone and secretly recording a conversation.

During the phone call, RJ says Kritza "confesses to wrong-doing" ... and the incriminating recording is now with the feds.

BTW -- the bank ended up suing Jefferson for part of the money ... but he wants the court to press pause on that case until the federal investigation into Kritza runs it's course.

We reached out to Kritza for comment -- so far, no word back.
