Steve Francis Ordered to Wear Ankle Monitor ... After Violating Bond

2/9/2017 2:28 PM PST
Breaking News

0209-steve-francis-tmz-01Steve Francis is the new Lindsay Lohan -- 'cause he was just ordered to wear an alcohol-monitoring ankle bracelet after violating the terms of his bond.

The trouble all stems from the ex-NBA star's drunk driving arrest back in November -- when cops say he was driving around Houston while hammered and in possession of weed.

At the time, Francis was released on bond -- and was ordered to NOT drink a drop of alcohol. He was also ordered to put a breathalyzer device in his car.

But, officials say he blew off his blowing obligations and didn't use the device -- a violation of the terms of his bond.

He appeared in court Thursday, where the judge dropped the hammer by ordering him to wear a SCRAM bracelet -- which constantly monitors alcohol consumption. It also has a GPS tracking device (he's not allowed to leave Texas).

If Francis doesn't get his new accessory by tomorrow, the judge says she will issue a warrant for his arrest.

Warren Sapp Battery Accuser Got DUI On Night of Incident

1/6/2017 12:30 AM PST

The 'Paul Blart' actress suing Warren Sapp for battery was arrested for DUI just hours after the alleged incident ... TMZ Sports has learned.

As we previously reported, Paula Trickey -- who was a recurring character on "The O.C." -- claimed Sapp drunkenly knocked her to the ground during a 2015 ESPN Super Bowl party in Arizona.

Trickey claimed Sapp was being kicked out of the party around 1 AM when he tried running through the crowd and slammed into her ... causing serious injuries.

We did some digging and found out just a few hours later at 3:40 AM, the Scottsdale PD popped Trickey for DUI claiming she reeked of alcohol, bombed the "walk the line test" and blew a .119.

For her part, Trickey denied she was wasted -- claiming she only had 1 glass of wine that evening at Jim McMahon's house .... yeah, THAT Jim McMahon. She later pled guilty to DUI.

Sapp adamantly denied knocking Trickey down and claimed he wasn't even at the party that night. We looked through hundreds of pics from the event and couldn't find 1 shot of Sapp.

Now, with this new info you gotta believe Sapp's team will try to argue that Trickey was drunk and might have confused him with another big, black, bald football player.

TMZ Sports broke the story ... Ortiz was arrested on Sept. 24th in Ventura County, CA around 7 PM when cops pulled over his BMW and smelled booze.

Now, officials say Ortiz's BAC was MORE than .15 ... which is a huge deal because in California, that triggers a "special allegation" which carries a tougher penalty if convicted ... more jail, higher fines, etc.

Here's the real problem for Ortiz -- he's already on probation stemming from a 2015 battery case at a Kenny Chesney concert at the Rose Bowl.

If Ortiz's probation is revoked because of the DUI -- the judge could have him locked up.
