Looks like Emeril Lagasse and his brother-in-law are into different types of mushrooms, and this is an awesome story.
Kent Lovelace just got the BAM! for illegal possession of mushrooms in Mississippi. The cops tell us he got pulled over on Sunday because his car was swerving. He allegedly claimed diabetes made him weave (Emeril not feeding him enough?), but a search of the car turned up shrooms and traces of MJ.
Just to kick up the humiliation a notch -- we're told it was Emeril's wife (Kent's sister) who had to shell out for his $5K bond.

Whatshisname with the dreads from "American Idol" was spotted eating a burrito on Tuesday.
He put up a good fight with the first half of the burrito, but grew tired of it and just stopped caring when he got towards the end.

Who watches "Tori and Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood" anyway? In case you -- like the rest of America -- missed it, on last night's episode Tori dealt with the Listeria bacteria soft serve dust up, this time with a swirl!
During the episode, dutiful mom Tori protected her own child's well-being while serving expectant moms a low-cal treat we like to call Frozen Death. The controversy was never even addressed during the show. Talk about a 9021 uh-oh!

Gastric-bypass wonder Carnie Wilson did some seriously huge damage at a supermarket this weekend.
Carnie lost 150 lbs after having gastric-bypass in 1999. After regaining some weight, Carnes lost 22 lbs on "Celebrity Fit Club" in 2006. After re-regaining weight, she recently said she had lost around 30 lbs.
Wonder what her secret is.

The blue plate special at the Newsroom Cafe: cockroaches!
Turns out the eatery to the stars, which was shut down last week due to "vermin infestation," had an outbreak of live cockroaches in the main food prep area, according to the Department of Health. They were shut down for 48 hours, an automatic punishment in such a case, but attended a hearing to prove the problem had been chemically treated and re-opened with a B rating.
BTW -- we went down to the Newsroom Cafe last week to get the scoop, but the manager had us escorted off the property. Perhaps they didn't want us to bump into the Orkin Man.

Someone should have told celeb eatery the Newsroom Cafe that vermin burgers are sooo two days ago.
The trendy Robertson Blvd. restaurant -- where we've seen tons of big name stars eat -- has just gone from "needing to replace a fridge," to shutting down for a day for "repairs," to being closed due to a freakin' vermin infestation!
The vermin ain't their only problem, because as we reported on Monday, they also had gnats in bar glasses, paint chipping off counters and mold in one of their freezers.

Looks like celebs on Robertson Blvd. will have to eat iffy food somewhere else today.
After getting slapped by the City Health Department with a "C" rating for having mold in an ice machine, gnats in bar glasses, chipping paint and a fridge that wasn't cold enough -- the Newsroom Cafe shut down for the day for "repairs."

Now that she's a new mother, Jennifer Lopez has no need for Madre's -- her Latin restaurant has closed.
A sign on the Pasadena eatery says it shuttered on July 1st "until further notice." Madre's had been in business for over six years -- a lifetime in the world of celeb restaurants. In contrast, Britney's NYC joint NYLA lasted less than a year.
A rep for Jennifer has yet to get back to us.

So the Newsroom Cafe -- where Lindsay, Jeremy Piven, Lenny Kravitz and Kim K. hang -- claims the City Health Department gave them a C grade (which, by the way, is wretched) because the refrigerator was a few degrees off. They forgot to mention a few other things, like mold.
We got hold of the inspection report. Among other things, the city found mold inside the ice machine. Glasses on the bar had gnats that went in for a landing. Some of the shelves were dirty. The waiters' counter had paint chipping off. And restaurant workers were placing cut watermelon in the sink.
As for the fridge -- problems with potatoes, feta cheese and the meat drawers.

Some big stars may want to check their B.M.'s today.
The Newsroom Cafe on Robertson Blvd. in Los Angeles -- where Jeremy Piven, Kim Kardashian and Lindsay Lohan among many others love chowing down -- scored a "C" Food Facility Rating, which is the lowest rating above flat out failing. For the record, a "C" is like what you would rate Pauly Shore as a celebrity.
The Newsroom tells us the problem was with their fridge -- that it was a couple of degrees off, and they were docked for each item inside. They say they've spent 40 grand replacing it.
We're checking with the City.
