Johnny Manziel Diagnosed Bipolar 'Self-Medicated with Alcohol'

2/12/2018 6:03 AM PST
Breaking News

Johnny Manziel says he's been battling bipolar disorder and depression for years -- and had used alcohol as a way to "self-medicate" ... but claims he's sought professional help to work through it.

"I am taking medication for bipolar, and I am working to try to make sure I don’t fall back into any type of depression," Johnny told "Good Morning America" ... "because I know where that leads me and I know how slippery a slope that is for me."

Manziel says he was diagnosed as bipolar about a year ago -- around the same time he decided to start changing his life and begin his pro football comeback.

"I am watching all the other guys doing what I want to be doing, and I am sitting on a couch being a loser."

"The goal of this comeback is to get back to the NFL, ultimately."

As for his battle with booze -- Manziel explained, "I was self-medicating with alcohol. That’s what I thought would make me happy and get out of that depression."

"When I would wake up the next day after a night like that, going on a trip like that, and you wake up the next day and that is all gone, that liquid courage, or that liquid ... sense of euphoria that is over you, is all gone."

"You are left staring at the ceiling by yourself, and in that depression and back in that hole, that dark hole of sitting in a room by yourself, super depressed, thinking about all the mistakes you made in your life."

"What did that get me? Where did that get me except out of the NFL? Where did that get me? Disgraced?"

Johnny says the support from his family and his fiancee, Bre Tiesi, have been key to getting his life back together.

Logan Paul Millions Telling Me to go Kill Myself

2/1/2018 6:51 AM PST

Logan Paul thinks it's ironic people are telling him to kill himself ... one month after posting horrific footage of a suicide victim.

The YouTube star told Michael Strahan on 'GMA' that millions of people are telling him to go die in a fire. Remember ... Logan caught heat after he was forced to apologize twice for posting video of a dead body in a forest in Japan.

Logan was visibly shaken and almost tearful when asked about Google Preferred (the top 5% of most-viewed YouTube content) dropping him ... which he says he doesn't agree with.

Scott Baio to Nicole Eggert Stop Lying, Just Stop

1/31/2018 6:01 AM PST

Scott Baio came out swinging against Nicole Eggert Wednesday, saying he never did a single inappropriate thing to her and, in fact, he wasn't even attracted to her.

We got Scott leaving "Good Morning America" and he was still fired up, saying Eggert is incapable of telling a consistent story and points to other interviews where she has said nothing untoward ever happened between them.

Scott doubled down that the only time he ever had sexual contact with Nicole was after she turned 18, and says he did it because she wanted experience so she could "be good for her boyfriend."

Scott says he has no worries if Nicole goes to cops, because he's done nothing wrong. And he says she's discrediting the #MeToo movement by smearing him with lies.

Keaton Jones' Mom Those Confederate Pics ... Supposed to Be 'Ironic and Funny'

12/12/2017 6:46 AM PST
Breaking News

Keaton Jones' mother is defending her social media posts with the Confederate flag and insisting she and her family are not racists.

Kimberly Jones told 'GMA' the photos were intended to be "extreme" and "ironic and funny."

Kimberly said she would take it back if she could. She's made her social media pages private since the backlash started.

As TMZ first reported, Kimberly's posts also hindered online fundraising efforts. One GoFundMe account, which raised $58k for Keaton's case, is now on hold. The person who started the page stresses he has nothing to do with Kimberly ... and only wants to help Keaton.

Mark Hamill Ditches Wheelchair Signs Point to True Fans!!!

11/30/2017 10:41 AM PST

Mark Hamill's no longer two-wheeling it ... and he's even got a pep to his step.

Luke Skywalker was back on his feet Thursday on his way to 'GMA' to promote 'The Last Jedi.' Mark stopped on his way out to sign autographs, took a pic with a fan and even struck a pose.

It was a huge difference from when we saw him at JFK Monday ... slumped in a wheelchair and doing his best to cover his mug. As we reported, Mark said he was just trying to avoid autograph seekers who "gouge true fans later on eBay."

Guess he didn't want to Force the point any further.

Matt Damon & George Clooney Weinstein Was an A**hole! But We Never Witnessed Him Preying on Women

10/23/2017 7:32 AM PDT

Harvey Weinstein was proudly a bully and a womanizer -- but kept his sexual preying on women secret from his inner circle ... according to Matt Damon and George Clooney.

Matt spoke out about the Weinstein scandal Monday on 'GMA,' and said he'd never seen Harvey assault anyone, but was aware of the Gwyneth Paltrow incident. Still, he says he only saw Weinstein treat Gwyneth "incredibly respectfully."

George said it was beyond infuriating that Weinstein was silencing women, but thinks the scandal will finally shut down the infamous casting couch ... IF Hollywood reacts the right way.

Weinstein ended a one-week rehab treatment program. As for second chances -- Clooney and Damon don't sound too open to the idea.

Taylor Swift Phantom 'GMA' Gig Ain't Happenin' ... Sorry, Swifties!

8/30/2017 4:06 PM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

Taylor Swift fans got duped hard into thinking she was following up her record-breaking single and music vid debut with a live performance, but someone pulled a fast one ... TMZ has learned.

Fans thought Taylor was appearing on 'GMA' Thursday morning due to a DIRECTV search of her name which brought up 2 movies and 'GMA.' Yes, Taylor was in the 'Hannah Montana' movie and 'The Lorax' -- but NO, she will absolutely not be on ABC Friday morning.

Our sources at the network say Taylor's not scheduled to perform or sit down for an interview. It's unclear why 'GMA' was included in the search results, but feel free to adjust your DVRs.

We're guessing she'll pop up somewhere soon though when and if "Look What You Made Me Do" hits #1, as it's expected to do.

GMA's Lara Spencer This Just In .... My Body's Straight Fire!!!

8/10/2017 3:27 PM PDT

There once was a newswoman in Nantucket ...

Whose body was so bangin', everyone wanted to ... compliment it.

Here's 48-year-old Lara Spencer absolutely MURDERING a striped blue bikini this week while vacationing with her family in Massachusetts.

Bonus points for the alcoholic (we think) beverage.

BTW, Lara is a former division 1 college athlete -- she was on the diving team at Penn State. Now, she keeps in shape by playing tennis and running.

Does a body good.

Blac Chyna Rob Doesn't Respect Me So He Can Tell it To the Judge

Chyna appeared Monday AM on "Good Morning America" with celeb lawyer Lisa Bloom. She ran though the reasons why she's in court this morning trying to get a restraining order.

Chyna denies liking any of the super personal photos Rob posted, and she explains why she sent Rob video of a guy who was in bed with her.

We'll be at the hearing which is set for 8:30 AM PT.

United Airlines CEO We Gotta Use Common Sense ... Vows No Repeat Dragging

4/12/2017 6:42 AM PDT
Breaking News

United's CEO, Oscar Munoz, is promising cops will never board another one of his flights to remove a booked passenger again.

Munoz also apologized again to Dr. David Dao, his family and all passengers who witnessed the now infamous dragging of Dao. During his 'GMA' interview ... he added the airline would be looking into policy changes ... including the forceful removal of passengers.

He's clearly aware of the social media backlash over his initial use of "re-accommodate" to describe the incident, and made an effort to explain the poor choice of words.

Let the mea culpa tour begin ... especially after United's Tuesday stock fall wiped $255 mil off its market cap.

Megyn Kelly & Lara Spencer Near Collision at JFK Feeling Frigid in NYC

1/10/2017 7:43 AM PST

Lara Spencer and Megyn Kelly may have hugged, kissed or schmoozed before the camera rolled, but it certainly wasn't apparent from what we see at baggage claim at JFK.

The 'GMA' host and the soon-to-be NBC talk show host were feet from each other Monday night, but not a word was spoken ... at least as far as we can see.

ABC and NBC are in fierce competition, but then again competitive anchors still chew the fat.

At the very least, the video's entertaining.

ABC News BUSTED Faked Crime Scene for Live Shot

11/4/2016 12:36 PM PDT
Breaking News

When is a crime scene not really a crime scene?? When ABC News FAKES IT for a live TV shot.

Viewers at home watched live Friday morning as Linsey Davis reported in front of what appeared to be a crime scene in South Carolina ... where a woman had allegedly been held captive in a storage container by a sex offender.

Problem was ... the crime scene tape was just a TV prop to make it look like she was in front of the real crime scene ... and the lie was exposed in a photo obtained by CNN.

You can clearly see the yellow tape was tied to production equipment to give the illusion Davis was reporting right from the scene of the investigation. The segment aired on "Good Morning America."

ABC News is placing the blame on the field producer -- saying, "As soon as it was brought to our attention, we decided to take the producer out of the field, and we're investigating further."

"This action is completely unacceptable and fails to meet the standards of ABC News," ABC News' VP of Communication said in a statement.

By the way, this isn't the first time Davis has been in the headlines this week -- she was the reporter who interviewed Lil Wayne for 'Nightline' when he ranted about Black Lives Matter and stormed out of the interview

"I’m so passionate about the game and pursuing it and playing every day is just so much fun," Tebow said ... "It’s amazing when you do something for the love of it."

Tebow also opens up about how he bounced back after getting pushed out of the NFL -- "I’ve been told by a lot of different teams that I’m not good enough so how do you handle that?"
