The Accused: Verne Troyer
The Debt: $10,869.36
The Story: According to the State of California, Mini-Me fell behind on his taxes both in 2005 and 2008 ... putting him a total of
$10,869.36 in the hole.
Earlier this year, Troyer mentioned that Mike Myers was getting started on an Austin Powers 4 -- that paycheck could sure come in handy...

The
IRS takes no prisoners -- and even though
Anna Nicole Smith's been dead for over two and a half years, they're still coming after her estate for a hefty chunk of change.
Records obtained by TMZ show the Internal Revenue Service filed a $125,112.86 federal tax lien against the
Vickie Lynn Marshall Estate in Los Angeles County earlier this month.
The tax assessment took place in December 2008 -- Anna died in February 2007.
Nicolas Cage is the new six million dollar man -- as in, the government claims dude owes more then $6,000,000 in unpaid back taxes.

A notice of a federal tax lien -- obtained by TMZ -- shows the "National Treasure" actor made a serious dent in the national debt -- allegedly stiffing the IRS out of
$6,257,005 he owed in income tax from
2007.
But it gets worse, Uncle Sam also claims Cage is a repeat tax deadbeat -- because according to another federal tax lien, Cage still owes a ton of cash from three more years of unpaid debts:
2002 -- $70,190.052003 -- $179,738.232004 -- $110,617.56Which brings Nic to a grand total of
$6,617,550.84 -- almost enough for the government to buy a hammer.
Cage's rep had no immediate comment.
Nicolas Cage makes tons of money making movies, so why does he owe the state of Louisiana $6.2 million?
Cage was slapped with a federal
tax lien last month. He owns a house there, which is currently
on the market for $3.55 million.
If Nic takes that cash and gives it right over to Louisiana, he'll only owe another $2.65 mil -- but he'll still owe everyone that saw "Bangkok Dangerous" 99 minutes of their life back.
His rep had no comment.

Something reeks in the state of
New Jersey -- and if the IRS is correct, it's Val Kilmer's tax records.
Kilmer is on the hook for
$538,858 in unpaid federal taxes, this according to a lien filed by the IRS on July 15 in Jersey.
It's unclear why the lien, which was dug up by
The Detroit News, was filed in New Jersey. Kilmer, who is originally from Los Angeles, has been living in New Mexico for the last 20 years.
The Accused --
Jani Lane ... that singer dude from the '90s hair band
Warrant.
The Debt -- $121,024
The Story --
The Detroit News dug up an IRS record stating Lane, the guy who sang "Cherry Pie" back in 1990, failed to pay federal income taxes for seven years ... that's seven years longer than the amount of time this guy was making money as a rock star.
Lane was busted earlier this week for suspicion of DUI in California.
