Dante Fowler Gets Probation In Parking Lot Beatdown Case

3/1/2018 10:01 AM PST

Jacksonville Jaguars star Dante Fowler copped a plea in his parking lot beatdown case -- but he ain't going to jail.

As we previously reported, the 23-year-old was charged with battery, criminal mischief and petty theft -- all misdemeanors -- after he allegedly roughed a dude up in an apartment parking lot in Florida back in July.

Officials say Fowler got upset with a man after he criticized his driving -- and proceeded to hit the guy, knock off his glasses, stepped on them ... and then grabbed the man's bag of newly purchased liquor and threw it in a nearby lake.

Fowler was facing about a year in jail -- but instead cut a deal in which he pled no contest to all 3 counts and in exchange he got 12 months probation, 75 hours of community service and more than $1,000 in fines.

He was also ordered to stay away from the victim, according to court docs obtained by TMZ Sports

Fowler previously apologized for the incident -- telling Jaguars fans, "I'm a better person than that."

Jalen Ramsey Hoop-Shames Jags Teammate 'Worst Basketball Player Ever'

Breaking News

Man, Telvin Smith sucks at basketball ... and Jalen Ramsey's video proves it.

Look, Telvin is an absolute beast on the football field -- the Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker made the Pro Bowl this year.

But when the Jags teammates hit the hardwood at Florida State -- Smith got a chance to put his hoop skills on display ... and failed spectacularly.

Can he dribble? Barely. Can he shoot? Absolutely not. Dunk? Nope.

(By the way, Telvin and Jalen are good friends, so the public shaming is all in good fun).

On the other hand, Jalen Ramsey is an absolute freak -- check out the highlight reel stuff he did.

Jacksonville Bakery Trolls Big Ben How Do These Turnovers Taste?!

1/17/2018 6:44 AM PST
Breaking News

A Jacksonville bakery is rubbing salt in the wound after the Steelers' playoff loss to the Jaguars -- sending Ben Roethlisberger a care package of fresh-baked turnover pastries!!

"We appreciated the turnovers you gave us over our season so in return we wanted you to get a TASTE of 7 turnovers," Cinotti's Bakery wrote to Roethlisberger.

"So here are our very best apple, blueberry and cherry turnovers!"

To be fair ... Big Ben actually played pretty well against the Jags -- throwing for 5 TDs and almost 500 yards -- but he did turn the ball over twice, and 7 times total when you include their regular-season game.

Silver lining -- the joint's got 4 stars on Yelp. Maybe Ben will actually enjoy 'em??

Breaking News

10:40 AM -- Fournette was driving his 2017 Maybach at the time of the crash and the bumper was wrecked.

But get this ... he signed the busted bumper and GAVE IT to first responders ... this according to WJXT4's Vic Micolucci

Close call for Jacksonville Jaguars superstar Leonard Fournette -- who was rear-ended on a Florida interstate ... but he's OKAY!!!!

It all went down Tuesday morning ... a rep for the Jags says Fournette was "involved in a minor car accident today when his car was rear ended."

"Leonard is okay and was able to drive home."

The rookie running back -- who was a big factor in the Jags' playoff win over the Steelers this past Sunday -- was traveling on I-295, about a 10 minute drive from the EverBank Field.

And.... exhale.

Broncos' Bradley Roby I Know How to Stop Blake Bortles ... And So Does Belichick

1/16/2018 8:00 AM PST

Blake Bortles is no joke ... despite what Jadeveon Clowney thinks -- so says Broncos DB Bradley Roby who thinks the Jaguars QB has a real shot to beat the Patriots.

He's just gonna have to outsmart one of the greatest minds in the history of professional football to do it ... Bill Belichick

Roby picked off Bortles for a TD when they squared off last year (as he was quick to remind us!) -- and says Belichick will be just as prepared when they square off on Sunday.

Still, Roby thinks Bortles has a real shot to establish himself as an elite QB if he can outduel Tom Brady ... but it ain't gonna be easy.

We also asked Roby about visiting his former Ohio State teammate, Ryan Shazier -- and it seems everyone's still super optimistic about the injured linebacker's future.

Steelers vs. Jags WAGS Duke It Out ... With Smokin' Hot Pics

1/14/2018 12:40 AM PST

The Steelers are favored by a touchdown for their NFL playoff showdown with the Jags -- but do the boys in Black in Yellow score bigger off the field, too?

For the answer, we here at TMZ Sports have compiled the best of both team's red-hot WAGS ... and we gotta say, this one's going down to the wire.

But, judge for yourself ... using these shots of their better halves in bikinis and other attire -- but mostly bikinis.

Yeah ... don't feel too bad for whoever loses on Sunday.

Myles Jack Steps In Dog Poop ... Craps His Jordans

1/13/2018 12:50 AM PST

Here's a video of Jacksonville Jaguars player Myles Jack stepping in dog crap last month in his Jordans, and visibly grieving about the entire experience.

The feces fiasco happened outside the Four Seasons hotel in Palo Alto (the Jags were in town to play the 49ers), and was captured by a fan waiting to get an autograph from Jack.

You see Myles step in the doo doo, check to make sure it is in fact doo doo (WHY WOULD YOU TOUCH IT, FAM), wipe off the doo doo then remove his shoe to stop the defecation debacle from getting worse.

Best part? Dude looks legit bummed at the fate of his Jordans ... it's pretty hilarious.

The Jaguars play the Steelers this weekend -- somebody double-check the field.

Ryan Shazier Visits Steelers Practice 'Working Hard to Get Back'

Breaking News

Great sign for Ryan Shazier -- a little over a month after he suffered a serious spine injury, the Steelers star was finally able to attend team practice Wednesday ... and says he's pushing HARD to make a full recovery.

Shazier, who's still in a wheelchair, but has reportedly regained some feeling in his legs, shared a photo of himself at practice along with an inspirational update.

"It’s great to be back for practices and meetings. Just to be able to feel a part of it means the world. So I’m working harder than I ever have to get back," he wrote.

"I’ve been making strides over the past month and continue to make progress. Taking it day-by-day, but I’m far from done."

FYI, the Steelers meet the Jags in the playoffs on Sunday -- and you can bet Ryan's teammates are gonna be playing for him.

O.J. Simpson Back Rooting for the Bills ... And Guess Where?

1/7/2018 10:50 AM PST

1:28 PM PT -- The Bills lost and are out of the playoffs. Looks like O.J. isn't that much of a good luck charm after all ... whodathunkit?

O.J. Simpson was seen rockin' a Buffalo Bills jersey as his ex-NFL team took on the Jaguars in the playoffs this weekend ... but the Juice isn't loose in Florida.

A bunch of pics featuring O.J. in the ol' blue and white were posted Sunday, showing the former running back hanging with some fellow fans as the Bills/Jaguars game started.

At first, a lot of people speculated Simpson had left Nevada and was on the ground in Jacksonville, FL -- where the game is being played ... which mighta been a problem considering he's out on parole, and presumably can't leave the state on whim's notice.

However, upon closer inspection ... we've found that Simpson has not left Nevada. In fact, it appears he's still in Vegas ... having mugged at a local bar called Moon Doggies. There's even a sign in the back that says "Go Rebels" ... which is UNLV's football team name.

Coast is clear, Jacksonville ... back to the second quarter action.

Jags' Marcell Dareus 'Happy for' Bills ... But Now I Gotta Crush 'Em

1/6/2018 12:17 AM PST

Jaguars bruiser Marcell Dareus spent his whole career with the Bills until this season ... but says that ain't gonna stop him from smashing his bros when they meet this Sunday.

"To see my dudes I fought with so long ... sh*t, it's gonna be crazy, man," Marcell told TMZ Sports.

"I'm happy for 'em, but I got a job I have to do."

The job -- bring the pain to Bills QB Tyrod Taylor along with the rest of the Sacksonville "savages" ... and get the Jags into the next round of the playoffs.

But if they fall short -- will Marcell and co. be satisfied with ending the team's 10-year playoff drought?

"HELL NAH ... playoffs was expected -- now it's time to make that Big Dance."

Marcell Dareus Fired Up About Jacksonville ... Our Defense Is Insane!

11/2/2017 12:45 AM PDT

Does Marcell Dareus think his new Jacksonville Jaguars squad can make a serious run in the playoffs?

TMZ Sports spoke with Sacksonville's newest defensive stud -- a 2-time Pro Bowler who joined the squad last week after a blockbuster trade with the Buffalo Bills.

To say Marcell is excited is an understatement ... he's convinced the Jags, especially the defense, is locked and loaded.

"I mean, really, the sky's the limit man. We got some hellacious defensive backs ... the defense can be as good as we wanna be. We can be the best in the league, easily."

Watch the video ... and if you're the Titans, Texans and Colts -- be afraid.

NFL'S A.J. Bouye I GOTS MAD HOPS ... Nuking 5-Foot Box Jumps

8/9/2017 10:29 AM PDT

Here's video to prove you never had a chance to be in the NFL (despite what your dad says) ... Jaguars player A.J. Bouye jumping 5 FREAKIN' FEET like it's nothing.

A.J.'s apparently been a camp standout for the Jags so far, and we can see why -- with the freak athleticism the dude displayed while working out with famed athletic trainer, David Alexander.

Alexander is known in Florida for training guys like LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Victor Oladipo, but we gotta wonder if any of those guys can get up like this.

Dante Fowler to Cops: Someone Stole My Mercedes

7/27/2017 2:21 PM PDT

More drama for Dante Fowler ... who dropped a bombshell on cops during a traffic stop earlier this month -- someone stole my car!

The Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end was pulled over for speeding in St. Petersburg, FL on July 15 -- and during the stop, he was trying to explain why he didn't have proof of registration in his car at the time.

Dante: "I just got my car back because it got stolen. So, I don't know where all my stuff is."

Cop: "This car was stolen?"

Dante: "Yes, I just got it back yesterday."

Cop: "You have the keys in it or what? How'd you get it stolen?"

Dante: "Oh yeah, I left the keys in it."

The cop went back to his cruiser to run Fowler's information. Apparently, it checked out because he let the NFL player go with a speeding ticket and a citation for failing to show registration.

No word on who stole the car or if there's been an arrest in that case. We're working on it.

It's just the latest in a string of off-the-field issues for the former 1st round draft pick who was arrested for allegedly attacking a man in a parking lot a few days later.
