Janet Jackson has whittled herself down to ... Jermaine Dupri's height. 
The gorgeous pop icon must have found an out-of-print copy of "Nicole Kidman's Guide to Loving a Pip Squeak," because she left the heels at home in favor of a pair of mini-man friendly sneakers on Thursday.
At least in regards to stature, Janet and Jermi are equals.

Damita Jo arrived to the opening of the Alexander McQueen store in L.A. on Tuesday, looking like the illegitimate celebuspawn of the Pink Panther and a Druid high priestess.

"SNL" has replaced one sick diva with another!
Sources tell TMZ Mariah Carey will be the musical guest on "SNL" this week after Janet Jackson dropped out because of the flu.

Janet Jackson won't be live from New York this Saturday night -- she's got the flu!
Sources tell TMZ that Ms. Jackson has dropped out of performing on "Saturday Night Live" this week. No word who her replacement will be.
Us first reported Janet checked into Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A. last night for shortness of breath and the flu.

Janet Damita Jo Jackson had a late night hospital visit yesterday -- but that didn't stop her little man Jermaine Dupri from getting his party on.
TMZ caught Jermaine with Jay-Z at Butter in NYC right around the time Ms. Jackson checked in to the ER at Cedars-Sinai in L.A. with the flu. When asked for feedback on her condition, Dupri kept mum. It's like that y'all.

A local Sacramento television station is experiencing a major backlash, after an on-air interview with Janet Jackson and co-star/director Tyler Perry -- got seriously uncomfortable.
After discussing their new film "Why Did I Get Married?" on "Good Day Sacramento," anchor (and self-proclaimed jerk) Mark S. Allen asked Janet about her infamous Super Bowl wardrobe malfunction. Tyler Perry continuously tried to turn the conversation back to the movie, but the anchor kept hounding Jackson about the 2004 incident.
Finally, Perry fumes, "What are you talking about? We're here to talk about the movie!" Allen took one last dig, asking, "Were there any wardrobe malfunctions in the movie?" Jackson remained Sphinx-like the entire time.

While Janet claims to have kept off the 60 lbs. she had previously put on (phat Janet!), the London pics showcase a rounder, more bootylicious Ms. Jackson. Not that there's anything wrong with that!

TMZ obtained video of a traffic stop yesterday in West Hollywood. It shows Jermaine Dupri in the back of an L.A. County Sheriff's car.
Dupri's Lamborghini was near the squad car, doors wide open. After a while, deputies let Dupri leave. It is unclear if Dupri, Janet Jackson's fiance, was cited for anything. It is also unclear why deputies detained him, and why they let him drive away.
We contacted the Sheriff's Dept. West Hollywood substation but the watch commander had no info on the stop.
Dupri's peeps did not return our calls.

Usher revealed just what a huge star he is, during an outing in New York on Wednesday.
While some have labeled Usher Michael Jackson's successor as the new King of Pop, it appears the R&B star is taking weight cues from another Jackson: Miss Jackson, if you're nasty!
Hopefully, the bundled up crooner will be hitting the gym again to deflate those trademark abs, just like Janet (on the right) did. Until then, he can at least count on the extra poundage to keep him warm on those cold New York streets.

There might not be a more watched set of abs in Hollywood than Janet Jackson's. When she gains a few pounds or poses for a magazine cover, all eyes immediately fix on Ms. Jackson's midsection. Some reports have said her abs are airbrush art.
During her performance on last night's Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas, Janet decided to give the people what they wanted to see, minus any wardrobe malfunction. At the LG Chocolate Party afterwards, Janet bundled up in a luscious long white coat and black scarf.
