The man accused of stalking Jen Garner and Ben Affleck is now facing a barrage of criminal charges after cops arrested the guy on Monday outside the L.A. nursery school where their daughter Violet Affleck is enrolled.
The L.A. District Attorney has charged Steven Burky with two counts of felony stalking and two misdemeanor counts of disobeying a court order -- for allegedly breaking a restraining order the couple filed against him last year.
Garner has claimed in court documents that Burky has been stalking her since 2002. She was granted the restraining order last year after Burky sent her "packages and letters containing delusional and paranoid thoughts."
Now, if convicted on stalking charges, Burky -- who's currently in police custody -- could face up to four years in prison.
UPDATE: Burky was just arraigned and pled not guilty. The judge signed a criminal protective order, prohibiting Burky from coming within 500 yards of Garner and her family for the next 3 years. Bail was set at $300,000. Burky remains in custody.

Ben Affleck tried to avoid a scene by having his friend get his car for him yesterday in Brentwood -- but what ended up happening was more embarrassing than "Gigli" and "Daredevil" combined.
After somehow getting Affleck's Lexus into the middle of the road, Ben's bud couldn't get the thing to move again -- seriously blocked traffic in both directions.
Affleck eventually showed up but the damage was already done -- and the frustrated motorists really let him have it with their horns.

He may have played her father on "Alias," but Victor Garber has officially fallen for Jennifer Garner ... literally.
While on a hike in L.A. yesterday, the 60-year-old bit it big time by tumbling and eating dirt.
Luckily, Jen was there to help Vic handle this giant misstep.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have just purchased a mansion that was formerly owned by Gregory Peck -- thereby placing the couple the closest they will ever get to an acting Oscar.
The 8,000 square foot ranch house in the Pacific Palisades was sold to the couple for a whopping $17.5 million by mega-producer Brian Grazer, according to Hot Property. The five bedroom house features a gym, swimming pool and eight bathrooms -- and Gregory Peck once shot an ad for Pabst Blue Ribbon beer in the den.
The house was originally listed for $27.5 mil. Times are tough people, sometimes $17.5 mil is all a man can get.

Jennifer Garner knows nothing accentuates a chic black outfit like cuts and scrapes on your elbow and knee.
Turns out the 37-year-old mother of two got the injuries by falling while jogging.
Apparently, there is actually something more detrimental to Jen's health than "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past."

Ben Affleck had a run-in with a paparazzo in Santa Monica on Thursday and we don't think they were talking about the Sox.
According to one photo agency, a pap from another agency got a little too close to comfort for Ben, so he pulled over and flagged down a cop (we think it was a parking enforcement lady). In the end, everyone just went their separate ways.
We called around to different law enforcement agencies -- none had any report of the incident. Ditto for Ben's rep.

Ben Affleck upheld his sworn duty as a Red Sox fan today -- by ripping into a Yankees fan.
Ben was talkin' baseball out in Santa Monica -- but when he found out our photog was a die hard Yankees fan, Affleck felt obligated to talk a little trash.
FYI -- neither one of them won the World Series last year.
