They're calling it a donation ... we're calling it payback -- either way, Jessica Alba just forked over a whole lotta cash to the United Way in the hopes of making everybody forget the night she vandalized the charity's billboard with shark posters.
Moments ago, a rep for the United Way of Central Oklahoma announced Alba made a donation of more than $500 -- but refused to identify the exact amount per Alba's wishes.
As you may recall, Alba went on a late night tear last week, defacing all sorts of objects with posters promoting great white shark awareness .... in Oklahoma ... where there is no ocean.

We've just learned Jessica Alba will not face charges for defacing Oklahoma City with shark posters earlier this month.
Oklahoma City Police just told us the investigation is closed because no one wanted to prosecute.
Alba was under fire last week after pictures surfaced of her gluing large posters of great white sharks all over OKC, in an effort to raise awareness for the dwindling number of the majestic creature.
One of Alba's victims was a billboard for the United Way, for which she later released an apology.

The guy who was defaced during Jessica Alba's Oklahoma City tagging spree wants payback -- and he wants it in the form of a hot midday meal.
Elvin Mack -- who's actually on the United Way billboard Jessica allegedly ruined -- told us:
"I'm really hurt that she chose me to defame on a charitable organization billboard, she obviously doesn't know what United Way is ... a public apology and some lunch would be nice since she's in our state shooting a movie!"
Meanwhile, investigators in OKC wanna have a chat with Alba over the sticky situation.

Jessica Alba is seriously apologizing for tagging Oklahoma City -- and a United Way billboard -- with posters of great white sharks ... but she's also tossing blame at the shark lovers she got involved with.
Here's the statement Jessica just released:
"I got involved in something I should have had no part of. I realize that I should have used better judgment and I regret not thinking things through before I made a spontaneous and ill-advised decision to let myself get involved with the people behind this campaign. I sincerely apologize to the citizens of Oklahoma City and to the United Way for my involvement in this incident."

Jessica Alba is under criminal investigation for daring to take a stand on behalf of great white sharks -- in Oklahoma!
Oklahoma City cops tell us the city's Director of Parks and Recreation -- Wendell Whisenhunt -- filed a police report after photos surfaced of Alba allegedly defacing electrical boxes, a bridge and a United Way billboard. Alba was on a mission, gluing posters that are part of a campaign to save the great whites.
The problem -- the glue is so gnarly the posters aren't coming off. Cops say they want to have a chat with Alba, who's in town filming a movie.
Alba, it seems, is scrambling. Her rep has already called the United Way, offering to replace the billboard.
By the way ... someone please tell Ms. Alba Oklahoma is a landlocked, flyover state.

Dumb: Defacing all sorts of public property in landlocked Oklahoma City (including a United Way poster) ... to increase local awareness for great white sharks ... which don't usually dwell anywhere close to Oklahoma City.
Dumber: Capturing all the stupidity on film and posting it on the Internet.
People in OKC are pretty upset after these photos surfaced yesterday on TheLostOgle.com. The pics clearly show Alba tagging downtown OKC with the posters, which ironically don't even have a clear message on them ... posters that stoners probably think are just advertisements for Shark Week.
The most ridiculous part is that one of the spots she's accused of tagging was a billboard for the United Way. A rep for the non-profit organization told us although the billboard was donated, they'll probably have to pay out of their own pocket to replace it. Either way, the U.W. said, "We remain focused on our work rather than this minor distraction."
So far, cops say no one has filed charges against Alba.

Finally, Jessica Alba has a reason to frown -- cops busted her perfectly sculpted ass going the wrong way on a one way street!
According to people at the scene, a Santa Monica police officer wrote her up yesterday after he noticed Alba driving through an alley and going the opposite way of the giant posted arrow sign -- which you can see is clearly hanging in the upper left hand corner of the photo.
No celebrity justice here...

Jessica Alba is fuming at TMZ for calling her dumb when she called Sweden a "neutral" country last week ... even though it currently has troops in Afghanistan.
She is absolutely correct. Sweden was a neutral country ... 60 years ago.
Even though she was engaged in a debate about the current political situation in America when she advised a reporter to "Be Sweden ... be neutral" -- Alba is swinging back at critics, like TMZ, on her blog saying, "It's so sad to me that you think the only neutral country during WWII was Switzerland."
She is absolutely correct -- when the Nazis were waging war on anyone who opposed Hitler's evil rule, Sweden remained neutral and stayed out of the war. After the war, Winston Churchill referred to Sweden as "that small, coward country."
We apologize for not considering the political climate of the world in 1942 when we suggested she may have meant, "Be Switzerland" -- a country that is currently neutral.
Our sincerest apologies.
