10/21/2017 12:25 AM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

Lonzo Ball should thank Clippers PG Patrick Beverley for giving him the business Thursday night ... 'cause in the long-run, it's really a good thing -- so says Master P.

We got P -- a HUGE NBA fan -- droppin' knowledge on Lonzo's debut at LAX ... telling us the Lakers rookie will only get better when grinders like Beverley beat him up.

The good news for Lonzo ... he's gonna get it all season long -- there's a LONG LIST of NBA stars looking to take a piece of his ass.

Kenny Smith to Lonzo: Your Dad Put a Bullseye On Your Back ... Back It Up

10/20/2017 1:14 PM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

Lonzo Ball needs to back up his dad's trash talk or it's gonna be a looong season ... so says Kenny Smith

The "Inside the NBA" star says LaVar Ball's antics have "put a bullseye" right on Lonzo's back -- and Patrick Beverley ain't gonna be the only one who's gonna take a shot.

The good news for Lonzo ... Kenny says it's "just one game" and he'll shut up the haters if he bounces back strong.

He even broke out a Rocky Balboa-ish quote for inspiration ...

John Wall Tried to Warn Lonzo Ball They're Gonna Come for You!

10/20/2017 10:57 AM PDT

John Wall saw this coming from a mile away ... telling us back in Feb. that NBA players like Patrick Beverley are gonna come for Lonzo Ball all season long to "leave a statement."

He was right.

Back when LaVar Ball was first firing up the Lonzo-hype machine, we spoke with Wall about how LaVar's braggadocious statements could affect the Lakers rookie on the court.

Wall told us LaVar's comments would add "fuel to the fire" for Lonzo's opponents, explaining:

"A lot of people try to leave a statement, you know let 'em know how the league is ... especially if they're gonna be going against him for the next couple years."

Beverley was DEFINITELY trying to send a message Thursday night -- beating up on Lonzo the entire game in a dominating Clippers victory.

And it sounds like it ain't gonna get easier for Ball as the season moves along ...

Kobe Bryant Hits Awesome Trick Shot During Photo Shoot

10/20/2017 8:48 AM PDT
Breaking News

Kobe Bryant went all Globetrotter during a Nike photo shoot -- hitting a sweet bounce shot while one of the models captured the whole thing on video.

Mamba was with Neymar, Winnie Harlow and mega-designer Riccardo Tisci to shoot a NikeLab X RT collection promo ... when Winnie handed him the rock.

Kobe did Kobe things ... made the shot (nothin' but net) ... and the place went crazy!

He wasn't done though ... Kobe then took a shot from wayyyy downtown (behind the HALF COURT LINE) and hit again.

He's good.

Kendall Jenner had the best seats in the house to support her man Blake Griffin on Thursday night -- sitting courtside as BG's Clippers beat up on the Lakers at Staples Center.

And to prove that supermodels really do eat ... she indulged on a giant caramel apple for all to see!

Kendall was just one of the many superstars in the arena -- Flea, Gal Gadot, Floyd Mayweather and, of course, Jack Nicholson were all on hand for Lonzo Ball's pro debut.

Oh, and check out this bonus pic we've unofficially titled, "Belly, Boobs, Billionaire."

Good times ...

Snoop Dogg Burns LaVar Ball for Feeding Lonzo to 'Lions'

10/20/2017 7:14 AM PDT
Breaking News

What did Snoop Dogg think of Lonzo Ball's NBA debut??

"I think his father put him in the lion's den with some pork-chop drawers on."

Snoop kept it all the way real on Kevin Garnett's "Area 21" post-game show -- after Lonzo managed just 3 points against the Clippers in the Lakers' home opener.

Check out the clip -- Snoop thinks Lonzo can be good, but he needs to change his attitude ASAP or he'll continue to get stomped by guys like Patrick Beverley

KG ain't ready to throw in the towel on Lonzo either -- but says Ball is already at a crossroads and needs to make some serious life choices.

DeMarcus Cousins Selling $5.4 Mil Cali Mansion ... Tennis, Anyone??

10/19/2017 3:35 PM PDT

DeMarcus Cousins is leaving Northern California in the rear view mirror for good ... putting his RIDICULOUS pad on the market ... and asking $5.4 milli for the digs.

The NBA superstar plopped down $4.7 million for the 6 bed, 8 bath Granite Bay joint back in 2013 -- right after inking a $62 million deal with the Kings.

The 13,690 square-foot estate is pretty freakin' insane -- featuring a Playboy-mansion-style grotto (R.I.P. Hef), film and workout rooms, a 10-car garage and even an outdoor pizza oven.

But the best part has to be his swanky lighted tennis court ... 'cause there's no sign of a basketball court on the entire property!

Gotta think DMC's got big (and bougie) plans for his New Orleans crib.

Chandler Parsons to 'Tasteless' Grizzlies Fans: Don't Boo Me, I'm a Human Being!

10/19/2017 7:07 AM PDT
Breaking News

Memphis Grizzlies star Chandler Parsons is pretty broken up about being booed in his home opener ... and he’s callin’ out the fans responsible.

"It's tasteless, man, it makes no sense," Parsons said after the Grizzlies’ win over the Pelicans.

"We're athletes, but we're human beings."

FYI, Chandler did miss 4 free throws ... but the boo-birds weren't 'cause of 1 off night.

Parsons signed a $94 MILLION max deal last summer ... and had a rough first season with the Grizz, averaging just 6 points in 34 games.

Chris Webber NBA Has More Freedom Than NFL 'We Get to Speak Our Minds'

10/18/2017 2:57 PM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

Chris Webber is praising the way the NBA handles social issues -- while throwing shade at the NFL -- saying basketball players have WAY MORE freedom to express themselves than football players.

"We talk about Eric Garner and Trayvon Martin and see guys wearing 'I Can't Breathe' shirts on the court," Webber says ... "We get to speak our minds."

Webber says NBA superstars like LeBron James have been praised for using the basketball court as a platform to speak out ... while NFL players like Colin Kaepernick get crushed.

"It is a privilege and a blessing to be in the NBA ... not the NFL."

Joe Theismann Gordon Hayward's Injury Gave Me Flashbacks

10/18/2017 1:39 PM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

Joe Theismann says watching Gordon Hayward's leg snap during NBA's opening night took him right back to 1985 ... an eerie reminder of that fateful encounter with Lawrence Taylor.

Of course, LT snapped Theismann's leg live on "Monday Night Football" -- essentially ending Joe's career. It remains one of the most gruesome injuries of all time.

Theismann tells TMZ Sports he really does understand Hayward's pain -- and feels terrible every time he watches a similar injury on TV.

The good news ... Theismann says he's optimistic Hayward can recover and go on to have a strong career in the NBA -- as long as he follows two important rules.

Bulls' Bobby Portis Suspended for Socking Teammate ... Breaking His Jaw

10/18/2017 10:04 AM PDT
Breaking News

Bobby Portis is paying the price for his brutal punch on Bulls teammate Nikola Mirotic ... as the team has slapped him with an 8-game ban.

Portis laid out Mirotic at practice on Tuesday ... sending him to the hospital with a fractured jaw and a concussion.

Nikola was discharged from the hospital later that day, but will likely need surgery -- forcing him to sit out at least 4 weeks.

The incident went down after the Bulls forwards got into it with trash-talk and shoving. Multiple reports claim Mirotic was the aggressor -- repeatedly charging at Bobby before being put down.

Which is probably why Portis only got 8 games. Could've been a lot worse.

'Big Baller Brand' Emojis Crack App Store Top 3

10/18/2017 9:44 AM PDT
Breaking News

The Big Baller Brand is conquering social media now too ... with the Ball family's new emoji line rocketing up the charts in the App Store after just 1 day on the market.

LaVar, Lonzo and the rest of the fam dropped "Big Baller Brand Emojis" on Oct. 17 -- which feature the Balls doing everything from dancing to dunking to shoe designing ... for $1.99 a pop.

On Wednesday, the App had already reached #2 on the Top Paid App charts ... right underneath Arimoji by Ariana Grande (#1).

To be fair, Ariana's app features the singer playing with adorable puppies -- good luck competing with  that.

Kobe Bryant to Gordon Hayward: 'Be Mad. Scream. Cry.'

10/18/2017 8:56 AM PDT
Breaking News

Kobe Bryant says Gordon Hayward needs to let his emotions run wild -- "Be sad. Be mad. Be frustrated. Scream. Cry. Sulk." -- it's all part of bouncing back from a catastrophic injury.

Of course, Kobe knows what he's talking about -- he tore his achilles during a game in 2013 (still made his free throws) -- and fought his way through rehab to get back on the court.

So, after Mamba watched the Celtics star go down hard on Tuesday ... he penned a motivational note to the NBA star with some deeply personal advice.

"Time to move on and focus on doing everything in your power to prepare for surgery, ask all the questions to be sure you understand fully the procedure so that you may visualize it in your subconscious while being operated on and better the chance of it’s success."

"It’s a long journey but if you focus on the mini milestones along the way you will find beauty in the struggle of doing simple things that prior to this injury were taken for granted."

Kobe says in the long run, Hayward will have a deeper appreciation for the simple things like "being able to stand, walk, run" and it'll motivate him to train harder.

"Best of luck to you on this journey my brother #mambamentality always."
