Eric Dickerson If Carson Wentz Was An L.A. Ram He'd Be Sittin' On The Bench

9/25/2016 12:45 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

Carson Wentz is lightin' it up in the league ... but if he was on the L.A. Rams, he'd be sittin' on the bench, just like Jared Goff ... NFL Hall of Famer Eric Dickerson tells TMZ Sports.

Dickerson -- one of the greatest Rams of all time -- joined "TMZ Sports" (weeknights on FS1) to discuss the 2 QBs ... and whether the Rams screwed up selecting the one they did.

FYI -- Wentz, the #2 pick, has led his Eagles to a 2-0 start (3 TDs, 0 INTs). On the other hand, Goff, the #1 pick, was inactive for the Rams 1st game ... and served as the backup for the 2nd.

So, does Eric think the Rams screwed up not drafting Wentz? And if they drafted him, would he be killin' it with the Rams like he has with the Eagles?

9/25/2016 12:35 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

0923-terrel-suggs-shoes-tmz-sports-wm-02Watch the throne, Kanye ... there's a new name in football cleats ... and he goes by King James.

Two weeks after 'Ye debuted the first ever Yeezy Boost football cleats with NFL stars like Von Miller and DeAndre Hopkins, Baltimore Ravens stud Terrell Suggs is bringing LeBron James' signature shoes to the gridiron.

TMZ Sports spoke with Marcus Rivero, owner of Soles By Sir, who converted a pair of Nike LeBron Soldier IX basketball shoes into football cleats.

The process? It was basically taking the sole of a pair of cleats, and fusing it with the sole of the 'Bron shoe.

Rivero says the final product -- painted with purple and gold Ravens colors -- costs about $1,000 to complete.

We're told Terrell plans to wear the cleats on Sunday against the Jaguars.

Note to LeBron ... get on this ASAP. There's money to be made!!

9/25/2016 12:15 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

0923-antonio-cromartie-TMZ-01The mother of NFL star Antonio Cromartie has moved out of the house he bought her back in 2007 and then tried to evict her from ... TMZ Sports has learned.

As we previously reported, Cromartie attempted to kick his mom, Cassandra Wilkerson, out in August after she refused to start paying the $700/month mortgage payments, 'cause she thought the house was a gift.

We spoke to Wilkerson, who tells us she and her husband weren't successfully evicted, but decided to get the hell out of Dodge -- and bought their own house on September 16th.

She says she hasn't spoken to Antonio in two months because of the house disagreement and "doesn't understand why he's so vindictive" toward her.

We reached out to Cromartie, but he had no comment.

Austin Seferian-Jenkins Dash Cam Talked Himself Into DUI Arrest 'I Gotta Take A Huge S***'

9/23/2016 11:38 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

TMZ Sports has obtained the dash cam footage from Austin Seferian-Jenkins' DUI arrest -- and he ALMOST got off scot free ... until he started running his drunken mouth.

The ex-Bucs tight end was pulled over for an improper lane change after cutting off a cop -- and moments after the stop, the officer was going to let ASJ off with a warning.

Then Austin started talking ... and slurring ... and the cop quickly realized the 23-year-old was wasted.

Austin begged the cop to let him go to his QB's house to watch 'American Horror Story' ... but the cop shot that down.

Once Austin was arrested, he told the cop he needed to take a "huge s***" -- the cop begged him not to do it in his brand new squad car.

He was booked for DUI and violation of an ignition interlock device restriction -- stemming from a 2013 DUI. The Bucs have since cut him from the team.

9/23/2016 8:29 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Legendary NFL coach Mike Ditka says Colin Kaepernick should stop disrespecting the U.S. ... and just "get the hell out" of America if he doesn't like it here.

Ditka appeared on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas Friday morning when he was asked about Kaep's protest ... and he didn't hold back ... at all.

“Anybody who disrespects this country and the flag,” Ditka says, “If they don’t like the country, they don’t like our flag, get the hell out."

Not only does Ditka have no respect for the way Kaepernick is protesting ... he doesn't believe there's a reason to protest at all.

"I don't see all the atrocities going on in this country that people say are going on."

Check out the clip ... it's clear Ditka's fed up.

Colin Kaepernick Protest So Big, It Deserved Cover ... Says Time Mag

9/22/2016 11:48 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

0922_colin-kaepernick-time-coverTIME magazine says Colin Kaepernick is on the cover of their magazine 'cause the movement he sparked has gotten so huge ... and spread so far ... he was the obvious choice.

TMZ Sports asked TIME why it tapped Kaep for the latest cover, and a spokesperson told us the goal was exploring "the nationwide debate happening around national anthem protests."

The spokesperson added, the fact his protest has now become so widespread ... "from the rest of the NFL to high schools and colleges across the country" -- meant this was just the right time for a cover story.

Translation: He's gonna be gold for sales numbers.

The issue -- which hits newsstands Friday -- features a photograph of Colin Kaepernick taking a knee. It's a shot from one of his previous on-field protests, not a photo shoot.
