Just 82 minutes after Nicole Richie checked herself into Lynwood jail, she left a free woman. Hard time her ass!
According to the official website of the L.A. Sheriff's Dept., Richie checked in at 3:15 PM and was released at 4:37 PM. She was assigned to a cell for only 35 minutes! It takes longer to watch an episode of "The Simple Life" ... and it's more painful!
A Sheriff's source tells TMZ Nicole was routinely processed and released according to normal operating rules.
One of the more brilliant moves by Nicole's lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, who snuck Nicole in and out while everyone was focused on Lindsay. Well played!

Talk about a smart move! Nicole Richie snuck into jail today to serve her sentence for DUI.
She was booked at the Lynwood Jail, where Paris did her time, at 3:15 this afternoon. Great move by her lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley. While all the attention was focused on Lindsay, no one was watching Nicole.
Nicole is being processed right now. Her photo hasn't even been taken. A Sheriff's guy says she's still being processed.
Nicole was sentenced to four days in the pokey for driving the wrong way on an L.A. freeway while under the influence. She was given credit for 1 day because she was in the slammer for 6 hours after her arrest.
Because of overcrowding, it's possible -- but not certain -- Nicole will be a free woman when we all wake up tomorrow.
Miss Richie is pregnant with her first child.

After spending the last few days touring Canada without his baby mama, Joel Madden returned to L.A. to spend some time with Nicole before heading back to our neighbors to the north. TMZ spotted the popping Nic and her Good Charlotte fiancé heading into Joel's Glendale home yesterday afternoon. Richie will be getting some down time with her man until he joins Justin Timberlake in Winnipeg on Saturday.
Brody Jenner was spotted at Les Deux, Kate Bosworth and her extremely pretty boyfriend James Rousseau at Il Sole. On the town was sexy tat queen Kat Von D, Mike Tyson at Mr. Chow, a clad-in-plaid Vince Vaughn at Opera -- and Cedric the Entertainer was looking rather daper at Boulevard 3 for the Mosci boutique fashion show.
Over in NY, Ashton Kutcher was Mr. Serious while Cameron Diaz was all smiles as cameras caught them in SoHo yesterday, where they were filming "What Happens in Vegas." Also out: Tommy Lee and Nickelback's Chad Kroeger, who were, go figure, surrounded by a bevy of blondes. After a a bit of what appeared to be intense deliberation, the posse headed to -- where else -- Marquee.

Preggers Nicole Richie is back in L.A. and already has the local Sheriff's department giving her a hand! Right this way, Lil' Miss!
TMZ spotted Joel Madden's baby mama leaving La Conversation in West Hollywood today, where Richie had the helpful assistance of two gun toting boys in brown to get her through the paparazzi crush waiting for her outside the cafe. Pregnant lady comin' thru!
Nicole got a laugh out of the frenzy -- especially when the officer said photogs could "take all the pictures of me you want, just back off."

Nicole Richie was spotted yesterday afternoon in Westwood, and the lil' mother to be is no longer hiding her 4-month baby bump! The simple new life!
Miss Richie was seen in a gray stretchy dress with black sweater, accentuating the little Madden nestled in her petite womb. Joel Madden, Nic's rocker boyfriend/baby daddy, apparently proposed last week to the soon-to-be incarcerated baby mama.
Nicole revealed to Diane Sawyer that since her pregnancy, she has learned to "just say no." Thank god!

Looks like Nicole Richie's baby won't be born out of wedlock after all!
Sources who attended the Hot 99.5 concert last night featuring Good Charlotte at the Clarendon Ballroom tell us Joel told the crowd he had just proposed to his jail-bound baby mama on Thursday. Congrats!
TMZ contacted Richie's rep to confirm the good news ... but haven't heard back yet.

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden kept real busy darting all over NYC yesterday -- but not as a couple.
TMZ cameras caught Little Miss Pregnant hitting up the gym dayside on Wednesday, showing off her tiny bump in a tight white tank top after a workout at Equinox. Richie was also spotted getting her eat on at Da Silvano with a Ray-Banned buddy in the afternoon and later hit up The Bowery Hotel for dinner with DJ/friend-to-the-stars Samantha Ronson.
Standing by her man, but not exactly near him, Richie was then mobbed by TV crews, paps and fans as she made her way into Joel's show at Madison Garden, where his band opened up for Justin Timberlake. Madden then ditched Nicole again to DJ at the Village Pourhouse with owner Michael Sinensky to celebrate the bar's 1st anniversary party.
Cameras also caught Joel Madden making a quick Starbucks run earlier in the day for his girl. Better be decaf!

Nicole Richie's man, Joel Madden, is starting to work out his anger issues -- using words against the paparazzi instead of his fist.
TMZ cameras were out in NYC last night, where photogs caught the soon-to-be-parents returning to their hotel after a dinner date at La Esquina in Soho. Ever-protective of his lady and fetus, Madden politely warned photogs to "get the f**k out of the way" as they exited the car -- and into their Midtown hotel.
A vast improvement from the strong-armed shove he gave a photog back in March when protecting his girl outside Mr. Chow. Good Charlotte, Good Joel!

While still only four months pregnant, Nicole Richie is wasting no time showing off her girls! It's twins!
After lunching with breastfriend Mischa Barton at Mercer Kitchen in Manhattan, the bee-spectacled mom-con to-be kept her baby bump under wraps -- but showed off her newly developed big apples! I Love NY!
For some reason, Mischa did her damnedest to try and steal some of Nicole's spotlight -- by donning an unfortunate tri-colored mini-apron ensemble. Mamma mia!

Heavily-tatted rocker Joel Madden and his girlfriend (you may have heard of her?), socia-light/future jailbird Nicole Richie, were spotted out in New York's celeb-infested Soho nabe this past weekend, sporting matching black get-ups. That's goth!
Richie's baggie black mini-dress barely hid the tiniest baby bump in the world, much to the evident amazement of the blonde hanger-on behind her (Whitney from "The Hills," is that you?), who got into the '80s "Working Girl" act with a frock and black booties.

Grandpa-to-be Lionel Richie was leaving Koi last night and the topic of conversation was, of course, pregnant daughter Nicole.
One photog asked the aging crooner how he felt about Nicole's pregnancy, to which he smiled and said, "I'm happy, babe!" One might even say he's dancing on the ceiling!
Just before he got in his car, another photog asked Lionel what special song he'd dedicate to his daughter -- he chose: "Three Times a Lady." She was barely eating for one before she got pregnant -- three might be pushing it.

Stick figure Nicole Richie was snapped in L.A. yesterday, revealing her baby bump -- and her growing lady lumps ... and her roots! Getting healthy!
Looking better than she has for years, the celebubrat and wrong-way driver seems to have made a U turn in her life, and is preparing for motherhood. She won't have to worry about losing the baby weight! She can keep it!

Cameras caught Nicole's daddy leaving famous L.A. sex boutique CoCo de Mer with a mystery lady and a bag full of goodies yesterday. We're not really sure what was in the bag -- but here's a short list of CoCo's more popular items: leather embossed paddles, human hair whips, silk blindfolds and crystal-studded merkins.
