Sure, Nate Berkus is a world famous designer -- but can he tell us more about Oprah?!
Like Gayle King before him, Nate will never again have an interview where Winfrey's name doesn't come up -- and yesterday in NY was no exception.

Jurassic supermodel Lauren Hutton's makeup line comes in four shades: pink, yellow, olive and "Oprah dark"!
While hawking her jank cosmetics at some South Carolina makeup event this weekend, the 64-year-old black-eyed beauty made a Don Imusian slip and corrected a woman who had picked up the wrong shade of her foundation by saying,"This is Oprah dark. You are not Oprah dark." Paging Hermès! For the record, Hutton's makeup comes in brown -- not "Oprah dark."
Don't expect to see Lauren's face paint on Oprah's "Favorite Things" episode anytime soon!

Oprah definitely spoils BFF Gayle King -- but, according to Gayle, the big O ain't putting a new roof over her head.
Last month, TMZ confirmed that Oprah bought a killer $7.1 million Manhattan penthouse (and supposedly for Gayle) but King tells TMZ she's not relocating to the city anytime soon. And we've asked peeps at the building -- no sign of Gayle or O since then.
Oprah's LLC, Sophie's Penthouse, did purchase the pad though -- so who's moving in?

One pesky pap tried to get Stedman Graham to buy a copy of Oprah's magazine -- but he wasn't havin' it.
Gayle King wudda done it!

Gayle King really could be movin' on up to the east side, to a deluxe apartment in the sky ... and it just might be courtesy of gal pal Oprah Winfrey. We just got -- pardon us -- the skinny.

TMZ has done some diggin' and found Oprah's LLC -- called Sophie's Penthouse -- purchased the $7.1 million phat Manhattan penthouse two weeks ago. BTW, Sophie was the name of Oprah's dog, which just died. And Sofia was her character in "The Color Purple." Good detective work, we think.
There are reports Gayle is moving in. A well-placed source connected to the property tells us it's "uncertain" at this time if Gayle will live large in O's pad. Gayle has said she wants to spend more time in NYC to work with O's magazine and her XM radio show.
O had no comment. Gayle's peeps tell TMZ they don't comment on her private life. They leave that to us!

A woman has filed suit against Harpo and the "Oprah Winfrey Show" claiming crazazy fans were so excited about sitting in Oprah's audience they pushed her down the stairs, causing her to suffer serious injuries.
In court documents filed in Cook County, Illinois Circuit Court Wednesday, Orit Greenberg says she went to Harpo Studios in December 2006 to be an audience member for the "Oprah" show.

Move over King Tut -- it's Queen Butt!

Artist Daniel Edwards has created a bootyful bronze sculpture of a curvaceous and robust Oprah Winfrey, called, "The Oprah Sarcophagus." Edwards previously created a life-sized statue of Britney giving birth, and one of a dead Paris Hilton.
It's safe to say Edwards isn't one of Big O's favorite things!

Oscar winner Daniel Day Lewis was on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" today, ostensibly to talk about his current Oscar nomination -- but instead made an emotional statement on the death of Heath Ledger.
Breaking away from Oprah's prepared questions, Lewis choked-up as he spoke of the late actor -- even though he "didn't know him."

She has more power over women than George Clooney, has sold more books than Barnes and Noble -- and now Oprah Winfrey is throwing every ounce of her spectacularly influential and fluctuating weight behind Barack Obama.

It marks the first time in her life that Oprah is breaking tradition and endorsing a candidate for president. But will support from Oprah improve Barack's chances?
Star support in politics isn't all that it seems -- remember Al Gore? Just about every star in Hollywood backed Al -- and all it got him was an Oscar, a Nobel Peace Prize and a role on "30 Rock" -- but no work in the Oval Office.
Should Barack tell Oprah "Thanks, but no thanks!" or should he be as thrilled as one of her "Favorite Things" audience members?

Oprah Winfrey just told the press that the recent abuse charges at her South Africa school has been "one of the most devastating, if not the most devastating experience, of my life."
The talk show queen just gave a live press conference, apologizing for the alleged sexual abuse at The Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls, but O remained positive by saying, "No one can destroy the dream I have held, and each girl continues to hold, at the school."
A dorm matron at the Academy was suspended on October 17 and was later arrested on assault, indecent assault and soliciting under-age girls to perform indecent acts. The matron, Virginia Mokgobo, was released today on bail.

A dorm matron at Oprah's school for disadvantaged girls in South Africa has been suspended amidst allegations of serious misconduct, the AP is reporting. Winfrey released a statement regarding the issue, saying, "Nothing is more serious or devastating to me than an allegation of misconduct by an adult against any girl at the academy."
CEO John Samuel said on Friday that an internal inquiry had been initiated ''based on one serious claim of misconduct involving a dormitory parent.'' The accused is no longer on campus and details of the incident were not disclosed.
Police said they had been informed of the allegation, but weren't investigating at this stage.

Actress/bad driver Lindsay Lohan's dad, Michael Lohan, says he's heading to Utah again next week to spend quality time with his troubled daughter.
Lilo, who has been in rehab since early August, is said to be "in a great, great, place now," Daddy Lohan told the Daily News. "I've never heard her so honest, contrite and focused."
As a part of his visit, Michael will take Lindsay to an undisclosed location in Utah for outpatient therapy.
Lindsay and her dad had been estranged for the past two years but recently reconciled.
Shocker! Oprah Really Rich!

No surprise here -- the Queen of all Media, Oprah Winfrey, topped
Forbes' "Celebrity 100 Power List" -- for the second time. The talk show host earned an estimated $260 million in the last year.
Jerry Seinfeld was ranked second, but didn't even come close. The neurotic comedian made a paltry $60 million -- hardly in Oprah's league.
Other celeb power players: Simon Cowell, David Letterman, Jay Leno and ... Judge Judy.
Beyonce: Too Bootylicious for Kuala Lumpur

"Crazy in Love" singer Beyonce had to cancel a November 1 concert in Kuala Lumpur after Muslim groups protested. The concert was canceled because the promoter -- Pineapple Concerts -- failed to secure a license.
Insider sources claim, however, that the promoter purposely chose not to apply for a license because Beyonce refused to comply with the strict dress regulations required to perform in the country.
Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage rules state that female performers must show no skin from the tops of their chests to their knees, reports
Us. What fun is that?

Chat empress Oprah Winfrey put rumors to rest that she might be running for president -- by instead throwing her hefty support behind democratic candidate Barack Obama. Lucky Obama will benefit from an Oprah-fied fundraiser to be held at the daytime diva's massive Santa Barbara mansion this September, reports today's L.A. Times.
Those thinking of attending should start saving now: Getting in the door will cost $2,300 -- that's the maximum individual contribution for primary season. Collected contributions of $25,000 or more will score you access to a VIP reception, and a donation of $50,000 or more will garner a seat at a private VIP dinner with the possible next president.
Think Isaiah Washington, who has also thrown his support behind Barack, was invited? Doubtful!

A former stylist and dresser for Oprah Winfrey's "The Color Purple" is suing the Broadway show -- produced and presented by the media queen herself -- after she was fired, she says, for daring to suggest that there weren't enough people of color working for the show.

TMZ has just obtained a lawsuit filed by Shawnique Hill in a Manhattan federal court. She alleges that during her employment she raised the issue with one of the bosses that, "while the talent employed onstage was a cast of African American actors ... the crew hired backstage was Caucasian with the exception of three persons of color." What's more, she claims that her direct supervisor -- a Caucasian -- addresssed her as "sister" and "girlfriend," which offended Hill, who is black.
Hill claims the production retaliated against her for the comment, harassing her, and ultimately firing her. Hill seeks unspecified damages.. Oprah was not individually named in the suit.
UPDATE: A rep for "The Color Purple" tells TMZ, "We can confirm it is in litigation. We are confident there has been no violation of law."

WTF?! Either Oprah Winfrey is rockin' a sixth toe or that's one mighty corn!

Miss Winfrey attended the Howard U. graduation ceremony in Washington D.C., picking up an honorary Doctorate of Humanities. O, the humanity!
It seems that Oprah has it all; a mega hit show, billions of dollars ... and an extra toe.
