Amar'e Stoudemire On KKK and Neo-Nazis (Thoughts from a Black Jew)

8/16/2017 4:18 PM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

If there's a guy the KKK should REALLY hate, it's Amar'e Stoudemire -- who checks 2 of their "most hated" boxes ... black and Jewish.

So, when we saw the former NBA superstar out in L.A. today, we had to ask for his thoughts on the situation in Charlottesville.

"Don't worry about things you can't control," Amar'e told our photog.

And when our guy (a fellow Jew) expressed concern about the anti-Semitic groups, Stoudemire offered up this advice -- "Stay strong, brother."

FYI -- Amar'e celebrates the Jewish holidays and moved to Israel to play basketball.

'Hamilton' Star Maybe Washington, Jefferson Statues Should Come Down

8/16/2017 1:27 PM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

"Hamilton" star Leslie Odom Jr. actually thinks President Trump could have a point  -- but not in the way Trump thought -- because he thinks removing George Washington and Thomas Jefferson statues is worthy of discussion.

We got the actor -- who famously played Aaron Burr in the smash musical -- at LAX Wednesday and asked about Trump's argument that removing the statue of Robert E. Lee could open the door to 86'ing the famous presidents.

Washington and Jefferson owned slaves ... so, he says fair question.

George Washington's Estate Hey Trump, GW's No Robert E. Lee

8/16/2017 12:28 PM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

Donald Trump's comparison of George Washington to Robert E. Lee won't result in monuments of the first Prez being ripped down across the country -- because GW is in a class all his own -- so says his estate.

Trump lashed out at reporters Tuesday, defending those protesting the removal of the Confederate General's statue in Charlottesville. The Prez made the bold comparison between Lee and GW -- who also owned slaves -- asking if Washington's statues were fair game for removal too.

Curt Viebranz, a rep at Mount Vernon -- GW's estate -- tells us Trump's connection of the two is ridiculous. Curt says there's no denying George was a slave owner, however No.1's views changed with time ... and he was the only founding father to eventually release his slaves.

Viebranz says the real difference is that GW's statues aren't "lightning rods for white nationalists" and their rallies, like the one organized in Charlottesville that left a woman dead.

Charlottesville Victim's Mom Speaks At Memorial ... Neo-Nazis Won't Shut Her Up

8/16/2017 10:20 AM PDT
Breaking News

Heather Heyer's mother says the white supremacists and hate groups responsible for her daughter's death didn't shut her up ... they made her message that much louder.

Susan Bro gave a powerful speech Wednesday at her daughter's memorial service in Charlottesville's Paramount Theater, and served up a rallying cry for what her daughter died for ... standing up against hate.

Susan told a packed room ... "They tried to kill my child to shut her up. Well guess what? You just magnified her." She added ... if people continue Heather's legacy of fighting racism and hate, it'd make her daughter's death worthwhile.

Susan ended with a powerful message ... "I'd rather have my child. But, by golly, if I gotta give her up, we're gonna make it count."

20-year-old James Alex Fields Jr. -- an alleged neo-Nazi sympathizer -- has been charged with murder in connection to the crime.

Susan did not address Donald Trump's controversial remarks regarding blame in Charlottesville on "both sides" ... but the Prez did mention Heather today.

T.I. on Trump KKK Came Callin' 'F*** Him!'

8/16/2017 6:37 AM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

Count T.I. in the chorus of people who believe Donald Trump is in bed with white supremacists and neo-Nazis.

We got Tip at LAX Tuesday and asked what he made of Trump's flip-flop on Charlottesville.

Welp, T.I. doesn't mince words -- or cool sayings either -- to slam DT for what many are calling his worst moment yet as President.

In short ... T.I. didn't expect anything less. And it sounds like he's going with YG on this one.

Judge Jeanine Pirro Mum on Trump But Check Out My Whistle!!!

8/16/2017 6:49 AM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

Judge Jeanine Pirro has a mean wolf whistle that can stop traffic.

We got the FNC host in rainy NYC Tuesday and she impressed our photog by blowing hard to get a cab.

As proud and loud as she was over hailing a taxi, she was radio silent when it came to Donald Trump's flip-flop over his "condemnation" of white supremacists and neo-Nazis.

Pirro has been a staunch Trump supporter -- unflinching in her loyalty -- but Trump's rant on Tuesday may have pushed even her over the line.

Donald Trump Ex-Campaign Mgr. Sued He Threatened us with a Baseball Bat

8/16/2017 8:05 AM PDT

President Donald Trump's ex-campaign manager threatened his neighbors with a baseball bat and vaguely threatened to get the President involved ... this according to a new lawsuit.

Corey Lewandowski -- the same guy infamously charged with misdemeanor battery for manhandling a reporter at a Trump campaign event in 2016 -- allegedly threatened to use his political connections to bury his neighbors after a land dispute.

In docs, Glenn and Irene Schwartz also claim Lewandowski intimidated them by standing outside with a baseball bat. The beef stems over Lewandowski's claim -- in a $5 million lawsuit -- his neighbors blocked access to his pond-front lot in Windham, New Hampshire.

The neighbors countersued ... alleging the threats caused them emotional distress, and that Lewandowski illegally tapped into a private well on their property disrupting their electrical power. The Schwartzes are suing for unspecified damages.

Tim Brown I'm Against Marshawn's Protest 'Why Bring This Negativity?'

8/15/2017 12:30 AM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

Tim Brown is against Marshawn Lynch's national anthem protest -- telling TMZ Sports, "Why bring negativity to this incredible, positive situation?"

Brown is a Raiders icon -- one of the greatest players in franchise history who's still very involved with the team.

So, we asked #81 how he felt about Oakland's star running back taking a seat during the anthem at the pre-season game in Arizona this weekend. Brown didn't hold back.

"Why man? Why bring this to yourself? He has the perfect thing going on in Oakland. Why bring negativity to this incredible positive situation? ... I just don't get it."

"I understand these guys man, they're trying to make statements and they're trying to be a part of this world but football is where people go to get away from that stuff."

Brown says he's confident Raiders honchos would support Marshawn's causes any way the team could outside the stadium ... but he just feels the political and social statements don't belong at work.

7:36 AM PT -- Tim Brown believes his comments are being misunderstood.

He believes his points are expressed better in the context of the full interview and has asked us to post the entire 8 minutes. So, here it is.

LeBron James: Trump Made Hate Fashionable Again

8/15/2017 2:40 PM PDT
Breaking News

Two NBA superstars are going off on Donald Trump -- LeBron James and Steve Nash -- trashing POTUS over the comments he made about anti-racist protesters in Charlottesville

"Hate has always existed in America. Yes we know that but Donald Trump just made it fashionable again," Bron posted ... "Statues has nothing to do with us now!"

James is responding to Trump's news conference Tuesday in which he said alt-left protesters were also to blame for the violence in Virginia. He made a specific reference to protesters removing a statue of Robert E. Lee.

"This week, it is Robert E Lee," Trump said ... "I noticed that Stonewall Jackson's coming down. I wonder is it George Washington next week and is it Thomas Jefferson the week after?"

Trump then mentioned that he owned a winery in Charlottesville ... and that set off Steve Nash.

"To defend white supremacists and then slang his sh*tty ass grape juice pretty much sums the man up."

LeBron has been ripping Trump for months -- and just this weekend wore a red hat to spoof Trump's "Make America Great Again" fashion line.

Donald Trump Back to Blaming Both Sides For Charlottesville Violence

8/15/2017 1:56 PM PDT
Breaking News

Donald Trump taketh back what he giveth ... he's back to saying there was violence in Charlottesville Saturday on both sides -- left and right.

The President faced reporters at Trump Tower in NYC Tuesday and blamed the "alt-left" as much as the alt-right for the violent showdown.

When he was confronted by a reporter, he hurled an insult and moved on.

Trump scored with one fan ...former KKK leader David Duke just tweeted, "Thank you President Trump for your honesty & courage to tell the truth about #Charlottesville and condemn the leftist terrorists in BLM/Antifa."

Anthony Scaramucci Condemns Charlottesville Violence As for Trump ...

8/15/2017 6:52 AM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

Anthony Scaramucci thinks there's no place in our society for neo-Nazi's and white supremacists, but he doesn't take that extra step and urge Trump to cut them from his base.

We got The Mooch Monday in NYC at the Hunt & Fish Club, which he partly owns ... and he joined the chorus, agreeing Trump should have come out earlier and condemned the hate groups in Charlottesville

Scaramucci also confirmed our earlier story ... that he's working with a Hollywood producer on a sitcom idea, with the working title "Attack of the Swamp Monsters" ... a story about a guy from Wall Street who comes to D.C. and gets attacked by political hacks who want him gone ... hmmmm, sounds familiar.

Scaramucci also has a thing or 2 to say about LGBTQ rights.

D. L. Hughley Trump was Late on Neo-Nazi Rebuke Fam Has History of Racism

8/14/2017 3:01 PM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

D. L. Hughley's not surprised by Donald Trump's belated rebuke of white supremacists ... because he believes the Trumps have roots in racism.

We got D. L. Monday at LAX and asked what he made of Trump's timing to come out and explicitly denounce white supremacists after violence in Charlottesville -- and he had a simple explanation.

The comedian cites reports that Trump's late father, Fred Trump, was arrested in Queens in 1927 after a KKK riot there ... although Trump has denied his dad had any involvement.

Either way ... D.L. thinks the country knows where the Prez stands on race, and it's time Americans looked themselves in the mirror on the issue.

Donald Trump Belatedly Condemns White Supremacists by Name

8/14/2017 10:25 AM PDT
Breaking News

Donald Trump finally caved to the public pressure by condemning white supremacist groups at the center of the violence in Charlottesville.

Trump announced Monday from The White House a civil rights investigation has been launched by the Department of Justice surrounding the terrorist attack.

The Prez called out white supremacists by name, saying ... "Racism is evil. And those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs, including the KKK, neo-Nazis, white supremacists and other hate groups that are repugnant to everything we hold dear as Americans."

Trump took enormous heat over the weekend when he condemned the violence and bigotry in Charlottesville from "many sides" but failed to specifically mention white supremacists.

2 days of backlash makes a world of difference, apparently.
