Donald Trump's Star Vandal Arrested

10/27/2016 7:57 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

1027-james-otis-Facebook-trump-star-01The guy who destroyed Donald Trump's Walk of Fame star got busted by cops Thursday morning.

LAPD tracked down James Otis in West Hollywood as he was leaving a home, and took him into custody. We're told he was cooperative as officers arrested him for felony vandalism.

Otis was planning to hold a news conference in a few hours ... then turn himself in to cops, but LAPD clearly wasn't down for his dog and pony show.

As we reported ... Otis took a pickax to Trump's star early Wednesday. He came on "TMZ Live" a few hours later to confess and explain why he had it out for the GOP candidate.

Donald Trump Get Real, Haters ... Hillary WEnt MIA for Adele

10/27/2016 6:31 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Donald Trump came on strong Thursday calling George Stephanopoulos a hater who is so blinded by his former bosses he doesn't see his own hypocrisy.

The 'GMA' host asked Trump about taking time off the campaign trail Wednesday to open his new Washington D.C. hotel. Trump bristled, saying how insane it was to be asked such a question when the media cooed that Hillary took Tuesday night off to see an Adele concert.

Trump also made it clear ... the hotel's grand opening was actually political, in the sense he brought the project in on time and under budget ... something that generally doesn't happen in other buildings on Pennsylvania Ave.

2016 Election California Celebs Snap a Pic at the Polls, Go to Prison, Maybe

Exclusive Details

1026_CELEBS_AT_THE_POLLS_instagram_tumblr-launch-2Justin Timberlake may have skated by taking an illegal selfie of his ballot at the Tennessee polls, but if celebs in Hollywood snap their ballots they could be in peril ... as in FELONY peril.

Most people don't know it, but there's a dusty old California law that makes it illegal for a voter to disclose their ballot choices at the polls. The law was passed 125 years ago, but it's still in effect and the punishment is up to 4 YEARS IN PRISON.

The law Timberlake violated pales by comparison. If prosecutors went after him, the most he'd get is 30 days in the pokey.

Now here's the weird part. The good folks in Sacramento just passed a law that will allow people to take selfies at the polls and display their choices to the world. The logic ... it encourages people to vote. Problem is ... the new law doesn't take effect until January 1, 2017.

So, what to do? We did some digging and couldn't find a single case where a voter was prosecuted.

We called the L.A. County D.A. and asked if they would let celebs and others skate if they dare disclose their preferences at the polls. The D.A. would not say one way or the other ... an official said they will not comment on "hypotheticals."

So, Barbra Streisand, Scooter Braun, Ellen DeGeneres, Lady Gaga, Jamie Foxx and George Clooney ... snap at your peril.

Judge Mathis I Go Light on Crime When It's Against Trump

10/27/2016 6:34 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Judge Mathis isn't exactly condemning the dude who took a pickax to Donald Trump's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame ... in fact, he wants to give the guy a medal.

Hizzoner was leaving Catch in WeHo Wednesday night when our photog asked about self-proclaimed vandal James Otis, who will be arrested Thursday for felony vandalism.

Mathis doesn't seem to be a believer in equal justice ... for all.

Manny Pacquiao Filipino Prez Should 'Cool Down' ... We Want U.S. Relations

10/27/2016 12:45 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Manny Pacquiao is calling for the Philippines President to "cool down" when it comes to slamming the United States -- reminding him that most Filipino people WANT a relationship with the U.S.

FYI, President Rodrigo Duterte has been on an anti-U.S. tear lately -- calling Obama a "son of a bitch" back in September and leading the charge for his country to "separate" from America.

In fact, just this week Duterte called for the removal of all U.S. troops and bases from the Philippines.

Enter Manny -- who's a SENATOR in the Philippines but trains, works and lives (part-time) in the U.S.

So, how does he feel about the hostile situation?

"We're not cutting off the relationship with the Philippines and the United States," Manny told TMZ Sports at Wild Card Gym in L.A.

He explained how surveys in the Philippines show most people want a relationship with the U.S. -- and his president needs to "cool down ... and realize everything."

Not into politics? We also asked about a possible Mayweather rematch. Enjoy.

Dr. Gary Goodman specializes in emergency medicine at the Central Florida Regional Hospital.

The good doctor has been a Trump supporter since long before he was nominated. Check out his video shot well before the Republican convention. Dr. Goodman defends the flag and the military, before his rousing rendition of the Pledge of Allegiance.

Trump Star Vandal I'm Not Afraid of Donald Or Cops!

10/26/2016 10:19 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

James Otis is the guy who says he took a pickax to Donald Trump's star on the Walk of Fame, and he tells TMZ ... he's ready and willing to go to jail for the crime.

Otis was totally open with us about what he did and why. He says he attacked Trump's star around 5:45 AM Wednesday because he sees himself as a sort of modern-day Robin Hood.

As we told you, he planned to auction off pieces of the star and donate the money to the accusers' legal defense, because Trump has vowed to sue them. Otis, who considers himself an activist, says his main motivation was standing up for the alleged victims.

Of course, now that he's gone public in taking credit for vandalizing the star ... police are looking for him. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce says the plaque is worth $30k, so he's confessing to a felony.

Otis has a plan to deal with the heat.

10/26/2016 8:05 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

1026-donald-trump-star-tmz-gettyDonald Trump's star on the Hollywood Blvd Walk of Fame is completely destroyed after someone took a pickax to it ... and LAPD is on the case.

Law enforcement sources tell us Trump's star was smashed apart early Wednesday morning. We're told the vandal posed as a construction worker to fool anyone walking past while they did the damage. Cops took a vandalism report, but haven't made any arrests.

According to Deadline Hollywood ... someone who said his name is Jamie Otis took credit for the destruction. He said he intended to auction off the removed star to raise money for the legal defense of Trump accusers.

It's unclear where he was going to hawk the stolen property.

Gloria Allred to Trump You Sue Us, We Sue You

10/26/2016 12:50 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Gloria Allred has no fear when it comes to going after Donald Trump, vowing to push the 3 accusers she reps into filing a lawsuit against Trump if he sues them.

Gloria tells us ... she will recommend to the 3 accusers that they file a defamation suit against Trump, but only if he sues first.

She also makes it clear ... if she files a countersuit, it's gonna get nasty and she'll force Trump to answer lots of questions involving sexual interactions.

Justin Timberlake D.A. Says, Oops ... We Shouldn't Have Said We're on the Case

10/25/2016 2:27 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

1025-justin-timberlake-voting-rock-the-vote-INSTAGRAM-01Justin Timberlake is in the clear ... the official in the Shelby County D.A.'s Office who told us they were looking into a possible criminal violation in connection with JT's selfie at the voting booth now says he screwed up.

As we reported, Justin's selfie is a violation of a new law that prohibits Tennessee voters from snapping pics or recording their movements at the polls.  A violation is punishable by 30 days in jail.

The official told us ... the matter was "under review," but he now says he made a mistake. He says although the D.A. was aware of the selfie, no law enforcement agent, election commission official or police officer had filed a formal complaint, so the matter wasn't on the table for review.

So Justin's in the clear, and we're guessing Hillary got a vote.

Donald Trump Accusers Licking their Chops Bring on the Lawsuits!!!

10/25/2016 2:16 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Two of Donald Trump's accusers are praying he sues them, because they've already lawyered up and they can't wait to put the candidate under oath.

Jill Harth, who claimed Trump manhandled her, already has her lawyer ... attorney Lisa Bloom. Bloom says she relishes the prospect of taking Trump's deposition and subpoenaing the 'Apprentice' tapes.

Harth is not alone. Mindy McGillivray, who claims Trump groped her, says she also has a lawyer and she wants in the worst way to take his depo.

Justin Timberlake D.A. Reviewing Voting Selfie Punishment Includes Jail

10/25/2016 10:32 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

1025-justin-timberlake-voting-rock-the-vote-INSTAGRAM-01Justin Timberlake could go to jail for 30 days for taking a selfie in a voting booth.

JT posted a pic of himself back home Monday at the polling place. Problem is ... Tennessee law prohibits voters from taking pics or recording conversations in the sacred rooms. Violators can be slapped with a 30 day jail sentence and a $50 fine.

A rep from the Shelby County D.A.'s Office tells us, the Timberlake case is "under review."

The law was passed last year, but we're told so far no one has been prosecuted.

An official from the election's board where Justin voted is clearly against prosecution, telling us he should be commended, not prosecuted, for inspiring people to get out and vote.
