Eric Dane is in a rehab facility to treat an addiction to pain medication.

The "Grey's Anatomy" star's rep tells TMZ, "Eric Dane voluntarily checked himself into a treatment facility to
help him get off of pain medication that he was prescribed for a sports
injury that he suffered over the recent hiatus."
The rep continues, "He reports back to
work this week. Business as usual."

Alleged mistress #2 just couldn't stay away from
Jesse James' hot buns.

TMZ has learned alleged homewrecker
Melissa Smith had the audacity to show up yesterday to Jesse's Long Beach restaurant --
Cisco Burger.
We're told Smith chowed down on a spicy black bean veggie burger ... because alleged mistresses need to watch their weight too.
Lindsay Lohan's mother,
Dina Lohan, has been blabbing all over town that her daughter was never behind in paying her rent ... but there's this issue of bounced checks to the landlord.

We first reported that Lindsay was
behind on her rent, but Dina is saying it's just not so. TMZ has seen copies of two bounced checks, from Lindsay to her landlord, both written this year ... both of which have been stamped on the front with the words, "RETURN REASON - NOT SUFFICIENT FUNDS. NOT SUFFICIENT FUNDS."
We spoke with Dina, who says she didn't know anything about bounced checks. Dina says Lindsay has her business manager write her checks, and the one who she used in February is no longer working with her.
Lindsay Lohan is broke -- so much so, she can't even pay her rent on time, sources tell TMZ.
We've learned Lindsay was two months behind in rent and her landlord sent her a legal notice to pay or get out. Lindsay just paid her landlord $23,000 to become current.
What's worse ... Lindsay isn't pulling in any income and her prospects for work are almost non-existent because of substance abuse issues ... according to our sources.
In the few days since TMZ published the story that friends and professionals are deeply afraid for Lindsay, the situation has become even more dire. We're told there is still a strong feeling -- even resignation -- that Lindsay will die soon if she doesn't get help.
There is deep frustration among the remaining people in Lindsay's world that her mom,
Dina, is enabling her daughter by insisting Lindsay is fine.
As for how Lindsay could possibly be in compliance with her alcohol education program -- all she's required to do is go to the classes and refrain from driving. Drug and alcohol testing are not part of the drill.
More evidence of Lindsay's situation: last night she went to Ubisoft's "Splinter Cell: Conviction" Launch Party at
Les Deux, where she once again
fell -- hard -- on her way out of the club. After the crash, she got up, dusted herself off ... and went to another nightclub.
Jesse James is a "broken man" who is trying desperately to save his marriage, according to his lawyer.
Attorney
Joe Yanny says, "This whole thing has destroyed Jesse's entire universe. Right now, he's a broken man."
Yanny says Jesse is still in love with
Sandra Bullock and, "The single most important thing to Mr. James and the children is that the marriage somehow survive."
As TMZ first reported, James is being treated at the Sierra Tucson rehab facility. Yanny cautions people not to assume the treatment is for sex addiction.
There's a joke in Hollywood about an agent who came to an actor's house to relay some tragic news ... and the punchline is, "Your agent came to your house?!"

A woman clutching what looks like a couple of scripts from Creative Artists Agency -- CAA -- just made a special delivery to Sandra Bullock's Hollywood Hills home.
A member of the medical team at a Tucson rehab facility tells TMZ
Jesse James is a patient there.

The facility --
Sierra Tucson -- specializes in drug, alcohol and sex addiction, as well as other disorders. TMZ broke the story last night.
Multiple law enforcement sources have told TMZ when a
CHP officer stopped Jesse last Friday on the 10 Freeway near Blythe, CA. -- for driving without a front license plate and driving with tinted windows -- James told the officer he was going to Arizona to try to save his marriage to
Sandra Bullock.
We have now learned from our law enforcement sources that James was specific -- that he was going to a rehab facility in Tucson.
A TMZ producer called Sierra Tucson and spoke with a therapist, who told us Jesse was at the facility and in fact had a 6 PM treatment Tuesday night.
Jesse's rep acknowledged he's in rehab.

Sandra Bullock spent time in the same rehab facility where
Jesse James is getting help ... but Sandra's stay was strictly for a movie role.

TMZ broke the story Jesse checked into
Sierra Tucson in
Arizona, a facility that treats sex, drug, alcohol and other disorders.
While preparing to shoot the movie, "
28 Days" -- which was released in 2000 -- Sandra spent a few days at Sierra. Her role in the movie: A drunk who was given the choice ... rehab or jail.
