Maria Shriver Chillin' on Cape Cod

8/12/2011 12:00 PM PDT

Maria Shriver seemed none the worse for wear Thursday as she cruised with two of her kids near Cape Cod.

Maria, son Patrick and daughter Christina went sailing on the Nantucket Sound, along with Maria's brother Anthony (blue trunks).

Maria's already showing premature effects of post-divorce hotness.

Arnold Schwarzenegger I Survived Maria! The Ultimate Dis?

8/8/2011 12:05 PM PDT
On the surface it's the unkindest cut of all ... Arnold Schwarzenegger out bike riding Sunday in Santa Monica, wearing a shirt that says, "I survived Maria" -- the woman whom he betrayed so badly.

But there's more to this story.  We found out ... Arnold got the shirt last November, during a farewell party for the Governator's staff.  The shirts were actually designed by Maria's staff, as a joke.  The shirt they presented to Arnold had 2007 crossed out and 1977 scribbled above -- that's the year Arnold and Maria started dating.

And, we're told, Arnold and Maria are not at war.  They're well along in the process of settling their divorce, and they speak frequently.

But all of this begs the question.  Given the events of the last few months, should Arnold have worn the shirt in public?

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver put aside their divorce differences yesterday when Maria met Arnold and the fam out shopping in Beverly Hills on Arnold's birthday.

It's nice to see the two communicate in person, rather than through lawyers.

Arnold Files New Divorce Docs Kinder to Maria

7/25/2011 4:21 PM PDT
Arnold Schwarzenegger has just refiled his response to Maria Shriver's divorce petition, and this time he's not trying to deny her spousal support or attorney's fees.

As we first reported, sources connected with Arnold told us ... although he signed his legal response, he never read it and therefore didn't know his lawyer moved to block Maria's bid to get spousal support and her attorney's fees paid by him.

But according to the new docs, Arnold is not asking the judge to block either of Maria's requests.

The misstep caused some problems last week -- especially since Maria was dealing with the serious injury of their son, Christopher, at the time she got slapped with Arnold's papers.

Arnold and Maria It Doesn't Make Sense!

7/22/2011 1:15 PM PDT
There is a connection between the divorce of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, and the statement Arnold and Maria gave TMZ regarding the injury of their son -- and it just doesn't add up.

Their statement regarding Christopher's injuries presents what appears to be a united front -- Arnold and Maria side by side. But just days earlier -- while Maria was bedside with Christopher in ICU -- Arnold's lawyer filed a response to Maria's divorce petition that borders on insulting and cruel.

As TMZ first reported, Arnold is asking the judge to shut down Maria's request for spousal support. Even worse, he's asking the judge to order Maria to pay her own lawyer's fees -- in a divorce triggered by Arnold's misdeeds.

Sources connected with the couple tell us, Arnold's legal docs have been hurtful to Maria -- and that's an understatement.

If we may offer an opinion ... it's hard to believe Arnold is so callous that he would challenge Maria at a time when she is emotionally distraught over her son.

The more likely scenario is that Arnold's lawyer went off on his own, checked the boxes he normally checks on the divorce docs, and simply filed them.

The question -- will Arnold order his lawyer to amend his response, so he is not challenging Maria's right to support or attorney's fees?

Stay tuned ...

Arnold & Patrick Schwarzenegger Get Malled

7/13/2011 2:50 PM PDT
Arnold Schwarzenegger kept an eye on his eldest son Patrick, as the 17-year-old worked his summer job at the Grove outdoor mall in L.A. on Tuesday.

So, we gotta ask ... if your dad is a world famous mega-star ... does it make it any less embarrassing when he checks up on you at work?

Patrick Schwarzenegger -- Keeping His Eye on the Mall

7/12/2011 3:45 PM PDT
Arnold Schwarzenegger's 17-year-old son Patrick is laying low for the summer -- and by "laying low," we mean the opposite ... working a high-profile internship at L.A.'s infamous outdoor mall, The Grove.

According to sources, Arnie is good pals with real estate tycoon Rick Caruso -- the developer who built the celebrity-filled shopping center -- and when Patrick said he was interested in mall management, Rick offered him the summer gig.

But Patrick won't be fetching coffee for people -- we're told he's getting a special crash course in bigwiggery, including running a massive shopping center, from security to public relations ... and he's already doing rounds with one of Caruso's top managers.

It's unclear if the position is paid or not -- but with his parents' combined wealth of about $400 million ... he probably doesn't need the money.

Arnold and Mildred -- Phone Pals But NO Meeting ... Yet

7/11/2011 6:45 AM PDT
Arnold Schwarzenegger and Mildred "Patty" Baena are spending time together -- on the phone -- and are even discussing a face-to-face reunion with their son Joseph ... TMZ has learned.

Multiple sources connected to Arnold and Patty tell TMZ they have spoken over the phone several times -- including the night the scandal broke -- but they have yet to meet in person ... despite recent reports.

We're told Patty hasn't been back to the Schwarzenegger home or even her own home in Bakersfield ... because of all the media attention.

But it sounds like a reunion is in the works. Our sources say, "Both families are open to a meeting, it just hasn't happened yet."

Maria Shriver Buys $10 Million Home

7/7/2011 11:48 AM PDT
Maria Shriver isn't waiting for her divorce from Arnold Schwarzenegger to become final before moving on -- sources tell TMZ ... she's buying a $10 million home in an exclusive area of L.A.

Sources connected with the deal tell us ... the home is in Brentwood -- not too far from where O.J. Simpson lived at the time he killed Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman.

Maria had been actively looking at homes for 6 months on the west side of L.A., but has now settled on a home near the one she shared with Arnold.

We're told the couple is determined to keep their divorce amicable, with both Arnold and Maria getting joint custody of their two minor children.  The proximity of the two homes will make shared custody easier.

From what we can tell, the deal is still in escrow, but we're told it's solid and will close soon.

Arnold and Maria Will Split Hundreds of Millions

7/2/2011 11:00 AM PDT

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver will split around $400 million, and legally it's supposed to be divided  up 50/50, because we know there's no prenup.

TMZ broke the story Friday that Maria filed for divorce and the division of property is yet to be determined. Because there is no prenup, under California law, all earnings and other property acquired during the marriage is considered community property, which means a 50/50 split.

Arnold's worth is estimated at $300 million, while Maria's is around $100 million.  Since the couple has been married for a quarter century and it's probably impossible to separate what they each had before they tied the knot, it's likely the entire pot of money will be considered community property.

But here's the twist.  This divorce will never go to trial. It is going to settle out of court, and nothing requires Arnold and Maria to agree on a 50/50 split. Typically in these cases, there's a lot of horse trading ... Maria gets this house, Arnold gets that one, etc.

Maria's lawyer, disso-queen Laura Wasser, and Arnold's attorney, Bob Kaufman, will be hashing out the property settlement agreement -- probably for months.

One final point.  We will never know the terms of the final property settlement agreement, because it's going to be confidential.  Standard operating procedure for high-profile divorces.

Maria Shriver Files for Divorce

7/1/2011 3:15 PM PDT
TMZ has learned Maria Shriver has pulled the trigger on her marriage ... she just filed for divorce from Arnold Schwarzenegger ... and we've learned, there is NO PRENUP.

In the divorce petition, obtained by TMZ, Shriver cites "irreconcilable differences" as her reason for ending the 25-year marriage.

Shriver is asking for spousal support and wants the judge to deny Arnold the right to ask for support for himself-- though it's highly unlikely he would.

Shriver is asking for joint custody of their minor children, who she names in the document as 17-year-old "Patrick Arnold Shriver Schwarzenegger" and 13-year-old "Christopher Sargent Shriver Schwarzenegger."

And, in the petition, filed by disso-queen Laura Wasser, Shriver is asking Arnold to pay the attorneys' fees of both parties.

As for the date Arnold and Maria separated ... it isn't specified in the divorce papers.

According to the docs, the property accumulated during the marriage will be divided at a later date.  And, sources tell TMZ, there is no prenup, so all of Arnold and Maria's earnings over the past quarter century will be divided 50/50.

Sources close to the couple tell TMZ ...  Arnold and Maria are on speaking terms and Arnold knew beforehand that she was filing divorce papers. Maria is telling friends she hopes this will be an easy and amicable divorce.

Arnold lost his family, money and reputation for a roll in the hay. Why not just take a cold shower. I thought he was smart, but I guess he is dumb after all. Was it worth it? NO! He's been ERASED ! ! ! !

Huh? I thought Kennedys didn't care about infidelity.

Good luck for the people who work it out with a cheater. I for one think I am worth more than that and deserve only the best.

Asta la vista Arnold. Get him where it hurts, his money.

I'm actually sad to see them divorcing. But some things just can't be fixed. I'd say this is one of them.

can't help but being blunt....good for her he is a D-bag. The worst kind.

GOOD! I Hope she takes the pig to the cleaners!

Who's the "Terminator" now?

Kinda sad. He pretty much came out of nowhere and practically begged her to marry him. Then after they marry, he cheats on her for decades with many women. Greedy sc*mbag forgot to count his blessings. Same story, different rich guy.

Arnold's Mistress & Love Child -- Picking Up the Pizzas

6/30/2011 5:00 AM PDT
Arnold Schwarzenegger's baby mama Mildred Baena is living large with their son, Joseph ... dining this afternoon on pizza and wine at a California Pizza Kitchen in Tarzana, CA.

Mother and son ordered a BBQ chicken pizza, crispy mac and cheese, half a Caesar salad, and another specialty pizza.

We don't know the identity of the man in the plaid shirt, but we do know that Mildred's older son was sitting to her right.  The waitress told other employees that the older son was hitting on her, asking if she'd go to the beach with him.  She says she declined.

And, the waitress was grousing that she only got a 10% tip.

Arnold's Mistress -- I'm No Sell Out!

6/15/2011 3:00 AM PDT
Arnold Schwarzenegger's baby mama Mildred Baena claims she did NOT make one single cent for the tell-all interview she gave to Hello! Magazine ... insisting it wasn't about the money.

Mildred's lawyer tells us, "Mildred was tired of people selling their lies to the media or claiming to speak for her when they do not ... She gave the interview in order to set the record straight once and for all."

Her lawyer adds, "All she wanted to do was put the lies and rumors to rest.  And we believe that she has done that through this interview."

As for how the interview ended up with Hello! Magazine -- we're told it was delivered to the magazine by a freelance reporter ... who has a personal relationship with Baena's lawyer.
