Johnny Depp I'm Sorry, Mr. President ... I Made A Bad Joke

6/23/2017 11:43 AM PDT
Breaking News

Johnny Depp is apologizing for his joke about assassinating President Trump, saying he didn't mean any harm by it.

Johnny released a statement admitting the "bad joke" he told Thursday to the Glastonbury Festival crowd was in poor taste.

“It did not come out as intended, and I intended no malice," his apology read. "I was only trying to amuse, not to harm anyone.”

Depp had joked, "When was the last time an actor assassinated a president?"

The White House condemned Depp for the joke and called on Hollywood to speak out against this type of violent rhetoric.

Johnny Depp Once Booted from White House Reception For Showing 'Disrespect'

6/23/2017 11:17 AM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

Johnny Depp's disdain for the White House runs deep ... so deep he was once corralled by Secret Service agents who refused to let him shake the President's hand.

Depp, who's taking heat for his Trump assassination crack, was at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. back in January 1988 -- yeah, we know it's the '80s -- where President and Nancy Reagan held a ceremony for the fight against AIDS.

Johnny -- who was the star of "21 Jump Street," started clowning almost from the get-go. During a private tour, he picked his nose at the podium in the Press Room and flipped off the camera outside the gate.

We're told he was in the Rose Garden when he lit up a cigarette, much to the dismay of the Secret Service.

Later, during the event, Johnny was in the Blue Room when he once again lit a ciggy ... enraging the agent.

When it came time for the receiving line to meet the Prez and First Lady, the agents told Johnny he could not participate because he had shown disrespect.

'BiP' Star DeMario Jackson Who ... Me Worry?

6/14/2017 8:25 AM PDT

"Bachelor in Paradise" star DeMario Jackson certainly doesn't look like a man in the middle of a serious reality TV controversy.

DeMario was out with a bunch of his friends Tuesday night as the group hit up Saint & Second in Long Beach. He appeared pretty loose ... never mind the controversy surrounding him and co-star Corinne Olympios.

As we reported ... DeMario wants the pool sex video released because he feels he did nothing wrong.

And he's sure acting like it ... bro-ing it out over food and drinks.

Don Lemon to Megyn Kelly Why Put Alex Jones On the Air? His Whole Act Is Phony

6/13/2017 1:30 PM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

Don Lemon is torn over Megyn Kelly's controversial interview with radio host Alex Jones -- but ultimately seems to think he's not worth the airtime.

We got the CNN anchor at LAX and asked what he thought about the backlash against Megyn for interviewing the Infowars host ... who's theorized the Sandy Hook massacre was a hoax.

Some parents of victims are blasting Megyn, and lobbying NBC to yank the interview. Don, at first, had Megyn's back ... saying sometimes journalists have to go to "dark places."

On a personal level though ... Don dismisses Jones as a total phony who doesn't deserve a platform.

Comedian Jim Norton Maher Not Hateful, Just Tasteless ... Cut Him Some Slack

6/9/2017 11:06 AM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

Jim Norton's coming to Bill Maher's defense of the n-word, saying intentions make a difference -- plus, the rules on who can use the word seem kinda arbitrary.

The comedian told us Maher's "house n*****" joke was definitely offensive, but he thinks the rabid backlash ignored the context. Norton points out there are lots of entertainers and artists -- even white ones -- who use the word in their work ... so, why the double standard with Bill?

Bottom line to Norton -- Bill just missed the mark, and was NOT being deliberately hateful -- and to him, it's not much different from Stephen Colbert's jab at President Trump.

Al Sharpton Bill Maher Was 'Disgraceful' Punishment in Order

6/6/2017 6:47 AM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

Al Sharpton is outraged at Bill Maher, saying he's disgraceful and clearly believes the comedian should be punished for joking that he's a "house n*****."

Al laid into Bill, saying he seemed "comfortable" using the word which is only meant to denigrate blacks. Watch as he gets more and more fired up the longer he speaks.

Sharpton does not say Bill should be fired, but he clearly believes punishment is in order and certainly doesn't think Maher's comment was less offensive than Kathy Griffin's Trump fiasco

Ice Cube to Bill Maher Let's Talk N-Word! Going Mano a Mano

6/6/2017 1:00 AM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

Ice Cube isn't about to let Bill Maher's "house n****r" crack stop him from appearing on 'Real Time' ... in fact, Cube's ready to mix it up with Bill over the n-word. Bill's n-word comment won't go ignored either.

Sources close to Cube tell us he will NOT cancel the appearance, which was scheduled before Maher's controversial joke. Sen. Al Franken was also scheduled, but chose to bail.

Cube's not pussy footing around the issue. He's been using the n-word liberally in his music, ever since NWA -- but we're told he wants to discuss Bill's use of it.

Cube was originally booked to talk about the 25th anniversary edition of his album, "Death Certificate." His rep calls it perfect timing because the record was made in the wake of the Rodney King beating, "[W]hich sadly, speaks to many of the same race issues we as a society are still dealing with today."

We're betting Maher gets a different reaction from Cube than he did Sen. Sasse.

Maybe more like Killer Mike?

Kendrick Lamar Car Company Has His Back 'Cheap' Car for Sister Was Smart!

6/6/2017 12:30 AM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

Kendrick Lamar is finally getting support for his decision to NOT buy his sister a baller new car -- of course, his backer is the company that made the umm ... frugal whip.

Kendrick took heat on social media for buying his younger sister a brand new Toyota Camry as a graduation present. In true "no good deed goes unpunished" fashion ... haters accused the multi-millionaire of going cheap on his kin.

But Toyota thinks K-Dot will have the last laugh.

A rep told us Toyota sees the choice as more "smart and thoughtful" than cheap, since Camry has a good track record for longevity and reliability. Plus, they're made in the U.S. -- so props for buying American! Sorta.

All good points, but Floyd Mayweather's kid would say ... so is a Benz.

We kid. Props to Kendrick, and his sis, for practicing what he preaches.

Killer Mike I'd Punch Maher If He Used N-Word ... But I'm Not Pissed

6/5/2017 4:25 PM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

Bill Maher would have taken one to the body had he dropped the n-word while Killer Mike was the guest on his show.

Mike told us Monday ... he agrees Bill shouldn't lose his job over his controversial joke on 'Real Time.' He's a firm believer in Maher's First Amendment rights. Still, the rapper says things would've played out MUCH differently if he had been sitting across from Bill, instead of Sen. Ben Sasse.

He says it's all about teaching Bill a lesson: white folks dropping the n-word sound stupid. Don't worry though, Mike's all about making peace ... as in peace pipe.

Bill Maher No Tour Dates Canceled After N-Word Remark

6/5/2017 12:30 PM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

Bill Maher has dodged the bullet that annihilated Kathy Griffin -- NONE of his upcoming tour dates have been canceled ... despite his use of the n-word on HBO.

Bill's smack in the middle of a comedy tour, with a ton of Summer tour dates looming. We made calls to every venue on the list ... none have pulled the plug, at least not yet.

Tickets are on sale at all venues that haven't sold out already ... and a lot have. Interestingly ... staff at a majority of the venues we reached told us they didn't even hear of Friday night's incident. And if they did, they were either "looking into it" ... or "going on as planned."

You'll recall ... Maher cracked a joke in response to Republican Sen. Ben Sasse about adults wearing Halloween costumes in Nebraska ... casually invoking the racial slur. He apologized the next day ... and HBO condemned the remark but has no plans to take him off he air.

As you know, Kathy Griffin felt the wrath that escaped Bill ... all of her upcoming concerts were axed. Her screw-up was arguably more visceral and controversial.

Maher might have lucked out when his story got pushed to the recesses of headlines after this weekend's terror attack and a benefit concert.

Kathy Griffin Gets the Ax From Last Theater in Comedy Tour

6/2/2017 3:09 PM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

Kathy Griffin's offensive against Donald Trump Friday apparently fell on deaf ears ... because the only remaining venue that would allow her to perform has just pulled the plug.

We've learned Kathy's concert at the Uptown Theatre in Napa scheduled for June 17 has been canceled. This follows 6 other cancelations, including bergenPAC in New Jersey which canceled hours before Kathy's news conference.

The Uptown Theatre cancellation is especially significant because the decision was apparently made after she took the mic with her lawyer. The Uptown folks said on Wednesday the show would go on, but they clearly had a change of heart.

Kathy Griffin Lashes Out at Trump Fam for Bullying Her

6/2/2017 11:45 AM PDT

Kathy Griffin now says all she did with the now infamous photo is parody Donald Trump's own words about Megyn Kelly, when he said during the campaign, "She had blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever."

Kathy, who sobbed at one point saying of the President, "He broke me," says she's dealt with "white guys trying to hold her down before," pretty clearly saying Trump is doing that to her now. Griffin says her apology stands, and she wishes she had used a blow-up doll with less ketchup instead.

Kathy says she's gotten death threats and people are trying to ruin her life. She broke down in tears when we asked if she thought her friend, Anderson Cooper, calling the photo "disgusting" was his word or CNN's.

She says Trump's outrage is just a distraction ... an attempt to get America off the FBI investigation.

Kathy's lawyer, Lisa Bloom, went on the attack against the President, Melania and Donald Jr. saying they bullied her, adding they are responsible for Kathy losing jobs, including her CNN gig.

Bloom says the President's family is trying to "ruin" Kathy. But she went further ... claiming the criticism is misogyny ... that male artists like Marilyn Manson went way further and escaped the wrath of the public. Kathy echoed the sentiment, saying this wouldn't have happened "to a white guy."

It sure sounds like Bloom is taking back her client's apology, when she said the photo shoot went too far. But Kathy maintains her apology stands.

Bloom says the Secret Service has even contacted Kathy. TMZ broke the story it's protocol for the Agency to investigate even if it's obvious the "threat" is not a danger.

Bloom was on the ropes when a reporter quoted part of Griffin's live act -- from long ago -- saying she would go after Barron as well as the President. Bloom said the Tyler Shields photo was never intended to harm Trump's son. She also said it's ultimately a parent's responsibility to monitor what their kid watches.

After TMZ first posted the photo, President Trump said "Kathy Griffin should be ashamed of herself. My children, especially my 11 year old son, Barron, are having a hard time with this. Sick."

Melania said, "As a mother, a wife, and a human being, that photo is very disturbing," adding it "makes you wonder about the mental health of the person who did it."

Kathy Griffin I've Been Bullied by Trump Family

6/1/2017 7:34 PM PDT
Breaking News

Kathy Griffin seems to now say she's a victim in the bloodied, beheaded Trump photoshoot, claiming the Trump fam has bullied her.

Griffin has been in hiding since TMZ broke the story of the now infamous photo shoot.

The comedian has hired attorney Lisa Bloom and will hold a news conference Friday, explaining her "true motivations" behind the shoot. According to Bloom, she will also lash out at the Prez, promising to talk about the "bullying from the Trump family she has endured."

President Trump blasted Griffin for traumatizing Barron and his other kids. Donald Jr. did the same.

We'll be live streaming the news conference at 9 AM PT.
