Tyron Woodley I'm The Greatest UFC Welterweight Ever ... Better Than Georges St-Pierre

2/18/2017 12:55 AM PST

Tyron Woodley says he's the greatest UFC welterweight EVER ... better than Georges St-Pierre ... and he won't stop kicking ass until he's proved it to the entire world.

Woodley -- the current UFC champ at 170 -- sat down with TMZ Sports to talk about his upcoming rematch with Stephen "Wonderboy" Thompson at UFC 209 in March.

Tyron told us he's looking forward to polishing Thompson off and proving their last fight (which ended in a draw) was a fluke ... but beyond that, he's got some bigger things to prove.

"I'm the best welterweight to ever fight in the Octagon, all I gotta do is keep winning to prove it. I'm more well rounded than Georges St-Pierre, I punch harder."

We have no idea if he's right ... but we're certainly not gonna tell him he's wrong.

Breaking News

0217-cyborg-tmz-01She's back!!

Cris 'Cyborg' Justino has officially been cleared of a possible anti-doping violation from a failed drug test in December, USADA announced in a statement Friday.

The 31-year-old UFC fighter was granted a retroactive therapeutic use exemption after determining Cyborg had a legitimate medical excuse to use Spironolactone -- a drug used to treat a common endocrine disorder.

USADA interviewed Cyborg and her physician about being prescribed the drug and decided to grant the TUE and lift her suspension immediately.

No word on when she'll be back in the Octagon, but Cyborg told FOX Sports earlier this week that she's down to fight at UFC 212 in her native Brazil.

Conor McGregor I'd Bet On Him To Kick Floyd's Ass ... Says UFC Champ

2/17/2017 12:45 AM PST

Conor McGregor would kick Floyd Mayweather's ass in the boxing ring ... that's according to UFC champ Joanna Jedrzejczyk, who says she's so sure of McGregor, SHE'D BET MONEY ON IT.

Joanna is a UFC stud herself ... 14-0 and the reigning strawweight women's champion ... we got her in L.A. and wanted to know if she thought McGregor had a chance against Floyd.

She DEFINITELY does ... saying if it was about putting cold hard cash where her mouth is, she wouldn't hesitate to do it.

"Of course I would put money on Conor, but it’s going to be a very difficult fight, it's a different fight than MMA fight. The fight is going to be in the ring and not in the Octagon, so it's completely different."

We also asked Jedrzejczyk her thoughts on Ronda Rousey and her legacy ... and she took the road less traveled these days, NOT trashing the former champ.

Jay Glazer Floyd Would Last This Long In MMA Against Conor (Hint: Not Long)

2/15/2017 2:43 PM PST

The whole world is wondering when/if Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather will step in a boxing ring, but Jay Glazer is about to tell us how long Floyd would last with Conor in a UFC Octagon.

We got Jay out at Catch in L.A. and instead of talking about a fight that MIGHT never happen, we talked to him about another fight that will NEVER happen ... Floyd vs. Conor in MMA.

Jay's take? The fight would be short ... like less than an NBA shot clock short, less than the amount of time it takes Jared Leto's band to get to Mars short ... legit Kevin Hart height shortness here, people.

Breaking News

0215-conor-mcgregor-khloe-kardashian-tmz-02 Conor McGregor says he's fascinated with Khloe Kardashian's "big fat ass" ... and says he really wants to see it in person.

The UFC superstar sat down with GQ during a recent trip to L.A. and was asked what he was going to be doing while in town.

"Maybe I’ll search for Khloé's [Kardashian] big fat ass," Conor said.

"She’s been floating around Malibu. I don’t give a f*ck about them [the Kardashians]. I just like to see them in the flesh ... just see what the big fat asses on them look like."

When asked if he admired the Kardashian sisters, Conor said, "Admire? Never. What’s the saying? Never put the p*ssy on a pedestal, my friend. I just want to see it. I want to see them."

Don't worry, Conor also took some shots at Floyd Mayweather -- saying he will destroy the boxing legend if they ever actually fight

"Honestly, my fist is bigger than his head. I sleep people. I put people unconscious. I’m stating facts. If I hit a man, his head is gonna go into the bleachers. You understand that?"

"If I crack that little head of his, it’s gonna go clean off his shoulder and up into the bleachers."

2/15/2017 6:13 AM PST
Breaking News

0215-mayweather-mcgregor-tmz-01Floyd Mayweather says he's not the reason for the hold-up on a superfight with Conor McGregor -- and is pointing the finger at the UFC.

"Listen, Conor McGregor, if you really want to get this fight done ... take care of your business with the UFC and then have your people get in touch with my people," Mayweather wrote.

For the record, Dana White has already offered terms -- $25 mil per fight plus a Pay-Per-View split. Floyd laughed it off and never countered.

As for Conor, he's in Vegas -- which he now calls "My City" -- despite the fact Floyd lives there.

The drama continues ...

Brock Lesnar to UFC I'm Retiring From MMA

2/14/2017 3:33 PM PST
Breaking News

0214-brock-lesnar-tmz-01IT'S ALL OVER!!

Brock Lesnar has informed the UFC he's officially retiring from MMA.

The 39-year-old superstar informed the UFC about his decision, a rep for the organization tells

Lesnar was a beast in his prime and beat up on some of the greatest fighters in UFC history -- including a win over Randy Couture to win the UFC Heavyweight title back in 2008.

Lesnar had been suspended for 1 year by USADA after failing two UFC 200 drug tests and would have been eligible to fight again in July. Instead, he's hangin' 'em up.

If Lesnar does decide to fight again, he would still have to serve the remainder of his suspension before he would be cleared to get back in the Octagon.

Back in August, Lesnar told TMZ Sports he was considering another fight ... but clearly, things have changed.

Dana White On Conor vs. Floyd: 'There Is No Deal'

2/14/2017 1:29 PM PST

0214-dana-white-TMZ-01Dana White tells TMZ Sports plain and simple ... when it comes to the Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor fight, "There is no deal."

There was a report out of Ireland that Conor and Floyd have agreed on terms for a megafight -- but it hasn't been formally signed because of a "holdup" from an unnamed 3rd party.

The UFC boss didn't get into specifics ... only saying point-blank, "No deal."

White has previously told us the chances of the fight coming to fruition are small -- and earlier this month told us negotiations were not going well.

Then again, anything's possible.

Holly Holm Needs Drastic Career Change ... Says UFC Champ

2/14/2017 12:55 AM PST

After suffering her 3rd loss in a row, Holly Holm needs to take a break from UFC and try to get on "Dancing with the Stars" ... so says UFC champ Tyron Woodley

35-year-old Holm hasn't won a single fight since KO'ing Ronda Rousey back in 2015 -- and after her latest loss at UFC 208 over the weekend, some people are saying her fighting career is over.

Woodley isn't ready to stick a fork in Holm -- but says she needs to focus on building her brand OUTSIDE of the Octagon while she's still famous ... and thinks 'Dancing' could be the perfect fit.

The only flaw in Woodley's logic ... is it too little, too late?

'Mayhem' Miller Fighting Again? Yes. ... Porn? Maybe.

2/5/2017 12:45 AM PST

Now that he's been acquitted in his domestic violence case, Jason "Mayhem" Miller is focusing on his career ... telling TMZ Sports he WILL fight again -- and could possibly dabble in porn.

The 36-year-old was outside Mercado Muay Thai where he praised his fans for their support during the trial ... a trial which revealed some freaky-deeky details about his sex life in open court.

And now that it's all out in the open ... we asked if he would take his career in that direction. Don't count it out.

As for his fighting future, the former UFC star says he's in talks to brawl again in the very near future.

Dana White Anderson Silva Is UFC's Tom Brady

2/4/2017 12:30 AM PST

Anderson Silva just got one helluva compliment from Dana White -- who says the MMA legend is the "Tom Brady of the UFC."

White appeared on the "TMZ Sports" show on FS1, and told us how proud he is of Brady -- who's not just his business partner but a close, personal family friend.

That's when he dished out the ultimate compliment to Silva -- essentially calling him the greatest of all time.

"If you look at what Anderson Silva's accomplished and how long he's been in the game and how he's carried himself ... I'd go with Anderson."

FYI, Anderson has the longest title streak in UFC history -- which included 16 victories and 10 title defenses. Dude's an animal.

But is he as HANDSOME as Tom? Dana weighs in on that, too.

Mayweather vs. McGregor Outlook Still Terrible ... Says Dana White

2/3/2017 3:34 PM PST

Dana White is currently in Houston.

Floyd Mayweather is also currently in Houston.

Yes ... says Dana White who says there's been ZERO progress made in the Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor negotiations.

"I think the odds of this happening are like the odds of me being the backup QB for Brady on Sunday."

So ... not good then?

UFC's Yair Rodriguez Mexico Needs Help Trump Could Be the Right Guy

2/2/2017 7:23 AM PST

UFC star Yair Rodriguez -- who was born in Mexico -- says it's "cool" that Donald Trump wants to take care of the "bad hombres" south of border ... and thinks POTUS could be the guy to help fix his country.

The topic arose after Trump reportedly placed a call to Mexican president Enrique Pena Nieto and warned that he might send U.S. troops if the Mexican military couldn't control the "bad hombres down there."

"I mean I think that's cool, you know?" Rodriguez told TMZ Sports ... "We have some troubles in Mexico right now."

Yair said he's not sure sending U.S. troops is the answer -- but it seemed like he was happy Trump wants to get involved in fixing the issues in his homeland.

Rodriguez -- who was at the Celebrate the Game Kickoff Party Presented by Recoup Fitness -- also reflected on his fight with B.J. Penn and explained why he'll always respect the UFC legend.
