As if L.A.'s famed Venice Beach scene wasn't wild enough -- now it's got apes patrollin' the sand ... on horseback, no less!!!

Yeah, the marketing team behind "Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes" came up with a seriously eye-catching way to hype the flick Monday ... getting a bunch of apes to saddle up and ride around the beach.

No, they're not real apes -- PETA would be all over that -- but the actors in costume were pretty convincing at a glance ... looking very much like a scene ripped straight from the movie's plot of the apes taking over.

Luckily, the actors didn't exactly put the horses into a full gallop, opting for a slower stroll around the beach ... paired with intense, menacing stares to make their presence felt.

Luke Bryan's counting his blessings for the extra padding that saved him when he took a nasty tumble onstage during his latest concert stop.

We caught up with the country star at Cecconi's Monday in L.A. ... and he joked his weekend slip-and-fall wasn't as painful as it looked 'cause he's got "a whole lot of meat back there" -- referring to his butt, of course -- which softened the landing.

ICYMI, the initial buzz was Luke went horizontal Saturday -- during his performance at the Coast City Country Festival in Vancouver -- due to a fan's phone that was left on the stage.

4:37 PM PT -- Bam Margera just posted video to Instagram showing a portion of the attempts he says he made to call 911 for police assistance last week ... recorded before he ended up taking matters into his own hands, fighting off a threatening stranger.

Bam's obviously frustrated at the lack of response in the video, and claims when no cops showed up, the whole neighborhood told him to go handle it ... and clapped when he was done.

Bam Margera recently found himself throwing down with a stranger -- a fist fight captured on camera, but Bam says he was simply protecting himself and friends ... TMZ has learned.

Eric B. & Rakim are very happy with the 2024 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees ... despite the fact they didn't personally make the cut.

The pioneering hip hop duo was on the ballot for this year's induction, but came up short in the final vote. Instead, Mary J. Blige, Cher, Dave Matthews Band, Foreigner, Peter Frampton, Kool & The Gang, Ozzy Osbourne and A Tribe Called Quest will be entering the Hall.

However, the two legends want it to be clear there are no hard feelings on their part, as they're happily congratulating their peers who will be inducted.

Eric B & Rakim tell TMZ Hip Hop ... "Congratulations to the diverse group of artists inducted into the Rock Hall this year. Seeing Tribe and Mary on the list besides Cher, Ozzy, Kool and the Gang and all of the other icons shows how inclusive the institution has become."

Though, Eric B. and Rakim are still eyeing the honor for themselves at some point. They add ... "Keep voting ... we'll join you soon!"

Eric B. & Rakim rose to fame during rap's golden age in the '80s and '90s, releasing 4 successful albums -- "Paid in Full," "Follow the Leader," "Let the Rhythm Hit 'Em," and "Don't Sweat the Technique."

The duo was named on the nominations list alongside a diverse group of performers, and as far as the acts that didn't get in this year, they're in excellent company -- Mariah Carey, Jane’s Addiction, Sade, Sinead O’Connor, Oasis and Lenny Kravitz will all have to wait for another chance to join the Hall of Fame party.

Robert Kraft graduated from Columbia in '63, and has been a huge proponent of the school in every way, including financially ... but all that changed Monday when the billionaire Patriots owner made it clear he wasn't going to stand by and watch his University be taken over by hate and vitriol.
