Martin Shkreli Pissed About 50 Cent Bullying ... DONATES $10k!!

5/4/2016 3:40 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

0504-jackson-farrell-shkreli-tmz-instagram-twitter-01Plot twist: hated pharma exec Martin Shkreli actually has a few good bones in his body.

We've learned Shkreli donated $10,000 to Autism Speaks after contacting the family of Andrew Farrell, the autistic airport worker who 50 Cent brutally mocked on video.

TMZ broke the story ... Farrell's family attorney wants 50 to cough up $10k for the autism advocacy group. So far they've only received an apology.

We're told Shkreli felt an emotional connection to the story -- he has several close friends and a family member who are autistic. Shkreli tells us his companies are trying to develop new, desperately necessary, treatments for autism.

Farrell's family attorney says Shkreli offered to donate the money directly -- but instead they opted to start a GoFundMe campaign. Shkreli will seed it with his $10k, and he's inviting the public to add onto the amount.

This won't help Shkreli in federal court -- where he's still facing securities fraud charges -- but his karma just got a boost.

Prince DEA Investigating Drugs Front and Center

5/4/2016 2:01 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
Exclusive Details

502-prince-getty-03The Federal Drug Enforcement Administration is now involved in the death investigation of Prince, and our law enforcement sources say drugs are the focal point of the criminal probe.

Our sources say the DEA and the Minnesota Attorney General are looking into the various prescriptions that were written for Prince, and the focus is opiates. Prince had a life-threatening Percocet addiction and authorities believe opiates will likely be either the sole or at least a significant factor in his death.

Our sources say the investigation is sweeping ... doctors and pharmacies involved in prescribing and filling meds for Prince are targeted, but possible enablers are also in the crosshairs.

Our sources now say the toxicology report may still be weeks away, although it was initially set to be released 2 weeks after the autopsy.

We know at least one doctor was a friend of the singer, but we're told the investigation is much broader.

Donald Trump Can't Get What He Wants ... Rolling Stones Join No-Play List

Breaking News

Mick Jagger doesn't give a rat's ass how many delegates Donald Trump's secured, he and the Rolling Stones are putting the kibosh on their music getting played at Trump rallies.

The Stones fired off a cease and desist letter to the campaign requesting they "cease all use immediately" ... according to a statement from the band's rep.

Trump used their hit "Start Me Up" as his intro music during several Indiana campaign stops this week -- and clearly word got back to the Stones' legal team. The Donald's also used "You Can't Always Get What You Want" in the past.

Candidate Trump's heard this tune before -- Neil Young, Aerosmith, Adele and others have also asked Trump to delete their music from his playlists ... and he's always complied.

Alec Baldwin BALLISTIC in Bev Hills ... SHUT UP!!!

5/4/2016 12:50 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Alec Baldwin exploded in anger Tuesday, getting in a photographer's face and berating him for shooting Baldwin's wife.

Baldwin and Hilaria were in Bev Hills when he unleashed on the photog with ear-shattering volume, ordering him to "shut up."

It's unclear what preceded Baldwin's tirade, but he tells the photog in no uncertain terms his wife is out of bounds for the paparazzi ... interesting for sure, because Hilaria is a prolific Instagram user who chronicles her life on the app. She's also a correspondent for "Extra."

It's even more interesting ... Baldwin wrote an essay where he said he was moving from New York to California because he can't stand the paparazzi presence in the Big Apple. He wrote in New York Magazine, "L.A. is a place where you live behind a gate, you get in a car, your interaction with the public is minimal."

The incident occurred in a very public part of town ... Bedford Drive in Beverly Hills.

We reached out to Baldwin's rep ... so far no word back.

Janet Jackson It's the Pregnant Principle ... 50 and Expecting!

Breaking News

504-janet-jackson-instagramJanet Jackson's finally confirmed what's been pretty clear since she pulled out of her world tour -- she's knocked up.

Janet and her husband, Wissam Al Mana, are expecting their first child, according to ET. Janet, who will turn 50 on May 16, announced a month ago that she was indefinitely postponing the 'Unbreakable Tour' because she was "planning" her family.

She stopped short of saying she was pregnant at the time, but it was clear the "sudden change" had to be something that big for her to scrap the long-planned tour.

It's unclear how far along she is, but if you assume she's at least 3 months pregnant -- it'll probably be summer 2017 before Janet and her fans are ... Together Again.

50 Cent Family Wants $10k for Autism Bullying

5/4/2016 11:54 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

0504_50cent_Andrew-Farrells_tmz-instagramThe family of the autistic teen 50 Cent bullied still wants the rapper to open up his wallet, but this time it's for a good cause and far less cash ... the family's attorney tells TMZ.

Attorney Matthew J. Hammer says Andrew Farrell and his family want 50 to cough up $10k for Autism Speaks, an autism advocacy group.

The donation is far less than the $1 million Andrew's stepdad was first eyeing.

We're told Andrew and his family received 50's signed, albeit short apology Tuesday via an email after news broke of Andrew's disabilities and were happy he said sorry.

As we reported, 50 got in Andrew's face at an airport accusing him of working while on drugs, when in fact he's autistic and is also afflicted by Asperger's.

50 has yet to answer back about the $10k donation.

Eminem's Ex-Wife Drunken Wreck Was Suicide Attempt

5/4/2016 10:46 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
Breaking News

Eminem's ex-wife, Kim Mathers, was trying to kill herself when she rolled her car into a ditch last October in an alleged drunk driving accident.

Kim called into the Detroit radio show "Mojo in the Morning" on channel 95.5 to come clean on the car accident. The case had been sealed, leading people to think she was getting preferential treatment from the court. Kim says the docs were sealed only because they had medical information related to her suicide attempt.

She admits she specifically found a road where no one else would get hurt, ingested pills and alcohol before she "hit the gas and aimed for a pole." Her Cadillac Escalade flipped but Kim ultimately survived the wreck.

Kim says she's currently getting help. Listen to the clip ... she also talks about how Eminem's helped her through the ordeal.

Prince Addiction Specialist Had Pills in Backpack

5/4/2016 10:24 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
Breaking News

The addiction specialist who was at Prince's house the day he died brought a backpack containing a synthetic opiate ... and his criminal defense lawyer now insists he should not be prosecuted.

Prince's people called Dr. Howard Kornfeld the day before the singer died, saying they believed Prince was on the verge of dying from drugs. Prince was apparently on board to get help, but the doctor said it would be 2 days before he could get there.

Dr. Kornfeld sent his son, Andrew, who worked at their facility -- Recovery Without Walls. Andrew flew out early and was at Prince's home the day he died.

0504_DR_KORNFELD_SUB_recoverywithoutwallSAndrew's lawyer, William Mauzy, just said Andrew did not supply Prince with any drugs, although he did have synthetic opiates in his backpack. The drug is called buprenorphine, a synthetic opiate for pain management and to wean people off actual opiates.

It was Andrew who called 911 after the staff found Prince unconscious in the elevator.

Attorney Mauzy made an odd comment, suggesting prosecutors may be targeting Andrew for some sort of criminal charge. Mauzy said the 911 call would not subject his client to prosecution under the Good Samaritan law. It's unclear why the call is even relevant. What seems obviously more important is the drugs in the backpack.

Sean Penn Gets Apology from Lee Daniels ... Defamation Suit Settled

5/4/2016 9:48 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
Breaking News

504-lee-daniels-sean-penn-doc-launch-03Sean Penn just scored a victory over Lee Daniels in his defamation lawsuit ... which they settled, but what's extraordinary is the apology letter Daniels had to write.

The "Empire" co-creator wrote, "I am so sorry that I have hurt you Sean, and I apologize and retract my reckless statements about you. How thoughtless of me. You are someone I consider a friend, a brilliant actor and true Hollywood legend and humanitarian."

Penn sued Daniels for $10 million over Lee comparing Terrence Howard's domestic violence history to Sean. He said, "[Terrence] ain't done nothing different than Marlon Brando or Sean Penn, and all of a sudden he's some f*****' demon."

The terms of the settlement are confidential ... although we know, at the very least, it included Lee's public apology/shaming -- and Lee making a donation to Penn's Haitian relief organization.

Lee's letter continues, "My most important role is as a father, and it is important to me that my children learn that it is wrong to reference gossip as fact, as I did here."

Sean wrote a brief response, saying ... "I accept Lee's heartfelt apology and appreciate the sincerity with which it was delivered."
