Stephen Collins is a lucky man ... after confessing to child molestation, we've learned not only will he NOT be prosecuted ... the main victim tells TMZ she will NOT sue him civilly.
Collins confessed in the audiotape ... he repeatedly sexually abused this victim, once placing her hand on his semi-erect penis. The incident occurred in the '70s, but she did not come forward until 2012 ... which is when the NYPD launched its investigation.
The woman -- now in her 50s -- says she will NOT sue Collins because she's not after his money. She says her purpose in coming forward was to encourage other victims to step up -- possibly victims who were molested more recently, so Collins could be prosecuted.
In addition to cooperating with the NYPD, the woman says she called the LAPD to warn them Collins was a sexual predator.
As we first reported ... law enforcement sources at the 3 agencies that are investigating Collins say they cannot have him prosecuted because the cases are too old.
Short story ... he confessed to 3 cases of sexual abuse ... and now he's home free.

I'm Not Khloe's Dad!
10/21/2014 6:11 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
Lionel Richie didn't answer immediately when we asked him if the rumor was true that he's Khloe Kardashian's dad ... but he answered definitively.
Khloe's paternity made headlines again when a tabloid claimed the "Dancing on the Ceiling" crooner was actually her pops.
But as he left Madeo Monday night, Richie laughed it off ... though he does care for KK very much.
Of course he isn't, everyone knows it's really O.J. Simpson ... We kid.

T.I. helped squash the Snoop Dogg/Iggy Azalea beef out of the kindness of his heart ... telling TMZ he received nothing for his Kissinger-esque work.
As TMZ previously reported, Snoop posted a video on Instagram apologizing to Iggy for the whole thing ... and it was a call from T.I. that led to Snoop extending the olive branch.
When our photog spotted T.I. in NYC on Monday night, he told us the convo with Snoop was short and sweet.
We also asked about his recent trip to Tanzania and Ebola fears.
Sentenced to Five Years
for KIlling GF
10/21/2014 5:12 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
Former Olympic hero Oscar Pistorius was sentenced to 5 years in prison for killing his girlfriend on Valentine's Day 2013.
Under South African law, Pistorius will have to serve at least 10 months before he can ask for parole.
In addition, Pistorius was given a 3-year suspended sentence on a firearms charge (unrelated to Steenkamp), but it was suspended for 5 years, so long as he's not found guilty of another crime where there's negligence involving a firearm during that period.
Pistorius had previously been found guilty of culpable homicide in the death of Reeva Steenkamp. He maintained throughout the trial he thought she was an intruder.
Billy Corgan, Eric Dane, Rebecca Gayheart
Settle RAGING Tree Dispute
10/21/2014 12:50 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
Billy Corgan, Eric Dane and Rebecca Gayheart -- 3 big stars -- just settled a 2-year dispute on the brink of a full-blown trial ... over 4 trees.
The neighborhood feud ignited in 2012 when a gigantic eucalyptus tree on the property of the Smashing Pumpkins singer fell onto Dane's property, causing enormous damage. The insurance companies settled the property damage issues, but the feud roared on.
We're told Dane and Gayheart wanted the trees trimmed or taken down, but Corgan wouldn't budge. The lawsuit says Corgan showed no remorse ... and that pissed them off.
The trial was set to begin Monday in L.A. County Superior Court ... big stars fighting over big trees. But we've learned brinkmanship ended with a settlement last week, when Corgan agreed to cut the trees down to the stump.
So now Corgan can't complain to Dane and Gayheart, "You Ca-lipped my trees."

Pregnant Woman Sues
Over Chainsaw Horror
10/21/2014 12:40 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
Halloween at Busch Gardens became a real-life nightmare for a pregnant woman who claims she was mowed down by other terrified patrons ... after chainsaw-wielding actors created a panic in the park.
Brittany Lipscomb claims she was at the Williamsburg, VA theme park 2 years ago -- for a ghoul's night out -- and was being extra careful for her safety since she was pregnant.
In her lawsuit -- obtained by TMZ -- Lipscomb says the park hired costumed characters to chase people around with chainsaws ... causing them to run recklessly through the park.
Lipscomb claims she was knocked to the ground by the stampede ... suffering serious injuries -- including emotional distress for the well being of her unborn child. She never says if the kid was actually hurt ... but now she's suing for $25K.
We'll throw this out there ... maybe something called Howl-O-Scream isn't the best place to be when you're pregnant. Just sayin'.
Oscar de la Renta
Dead at 82
10/20/2014 6:12 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
Oscar de la Renta -- who recently designed Amal Clooney's wedding dress and famously dressed Jackie Kennedy -- is dead.
De la Renta had been diagnosed with cancer in 2006 ... though it's unclear at this point what caused his death.
De la Renta was born in the Dominican Republic, and became internationally known in the '60s as one of Jackie Kennedy's favorite designers. He had just announced a knockoff version of Amal's now famous gown would be added to his 2015 bridal collection.
He built his brand into more than just a fashion house -- eventually launching his famous fragrance ... OSCAR ... and also a home wares line.
First Ladies Reagan, Clinton, and Laura Bush all wore Oscar's gowns for inaugurations -- and Hollywood celebs Kristen Stewart, Cameron Diaz, and Oprah Winfrey frequently wore his designs.
ABC News first reported his death.

Dancing With the Stars
Threatens Dance Pros ...
Don't Tango With the Competition
10/21/2014 12:20 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
"Dancing With the Stars" is drawing a line in the parquet floor with some of its famous pros -- warning them to stay away from an upstart live dance show, or risk a tango ... in court.
Our 'DWTS' sources tell us producers fired off warning letters to several dancing pros right after they sued a touring show called "Ballroom With A Twist." The letter informs the dancers they could be violating their "DWTS" contract if they do any side gigs with the rival.
'Dancing' vets Peta Murgatroyd, Tony Dovolani and Val Chmerkovskiy have all appeared on promotions for 'Ballroom' ... but the show hasn't started touring yet. We're told they've now been told to bail, or face potential legal action.
In other words ... they own you, jive turkeys.

Served With Dr. Luke Lawsuit
With Fancy Chicken Assist
10/20/2014 4:35 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
Kesha got served Monday by her producer Dr. Luke -- whose legal team enlisted the help of one of the most clever process servers of all time ... or maybe just the hungriest.
The process server showed up at Kesha's L.A. home and slapped legal docs -- connected to her nasty legal battle with Luke -- on the front door. Here's the clever part ... the stickers holding up the papers are from a Rainbow Acres roasted organic chicken package.
The process server's ingenuity might have gone unnoticed by most -- but we know food, and immediately recognized the sticker.
As for whether this counts as effective service of Luke's lawsuit -- probably not, under California law. But if nothing else ... the stickers gave some TMZ staffers a great idea for lunch.
Yes, it was delicious.
