Aaron Hernandez

Aaron Hernandez was a former NFL player for the New England Patriots. He was a member of the Florida Gators football team during his college career. He was born on November 6, 1989 and grew up in Bristol, CT. Hernandez hanged himself on April 19, 2017 while serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole for the murder of Odin L. Lloyd, his fiancée’s sister’s boyfriend. Just days prior to his suicide, Hernandez was found not guilty in a 2012 drive-by shooting in Boston. The tight end once had a $40 million contract with the New England Patriots and played in the 2012 Super Bowl, losing to the New York Giants. At the time of his death, Hernandez was engaged to Shayanna Jenkins-Hernandez. The couple had one daughter, Avielle.
