Alec Baldwin
Alleged Stalker ARRESTED
Outside NYC Apartment

Breaking News
0409_alec_baldwin
A 40-year-old woman accused of stalking Alec Baldwin was arrested outside the actor's NYC  apartment last night ... the 3rd time she's allegedly attempted to confront the actor in the past 2 weeks.

Law enforcement tells TMZ ... Genevieve Sabourin, a Canadian actress, appeared at Baldwin's Manhattan pad Sunday night and asked the doorman to buzz the actor.

The doorman called Baldwin -- who was at his OTHER home in the Hamptons at the time -- but the actor instantly recognized her name.

According to the NY Post, Sabourin had allegedly tracked Baldwin down at his home in the Hamptons on March 31 ... and then followed him to an event at the Lincoln Center a few days later ... and frankly, Baldwin was concerned.

We're told Baldwin felt Sabourin had been stalking him to a point where he and his fiancee felt threatened.

We're told Baldwin told his doorman NOT to allow the woman inside his building ... and then he notified police. Cops swooped in ... and arrested Sabourin at the building for aggravated harassment and stalking at 7:45 PM.

Sabourin reportedly met Baldwin while working on "The Adventures of Pluto Nash" back in 2002 ... but recently began bombarding Alec with emails and text messages saying she wanted to have his baby. She also asked to borrow money.

Alec's rep, Matthew Hiltzik, tells TMZ, "As you know, stalking is a serious issue, so we've turned  this matter over to the New York Police Department."

Alec Baldwin
Market APOLOGIZES for Pulling
Ads Over Airplane Tantrum

Alec Baldwin on the phone
Alec Baldwin just got a big fat apology from a New York-based supermarket chain that canned his commercials in the wake of his airplane freakout ... and now TMZ has learned the ads will GO BACK on the air.

A rep for Wegmans Food Market had previously announced the company yanked a commercial campaign featuring the actor because of the way he acted on a Dec. 6 flight ... when he refused to turn off his cell phone and screamed at the flight crew.

The commercials were taped in 2010 ... but were supposed to run again for three weeks in Dec. 2011. The rep said the ads were pulled a week early because of the airplane incident.

But now, the company is pulling a complete 180 -- telling us, "We regret ending the Alec Baldwin holiday commercials one week earlier than planned in response to a couple of dozen complaints. We have decided to run the commercials again, effective immediately."

The rep adds, "Clearly, many more people support Alec, as evidenced by the hundreds and hundreds of tweets, emails, and phone calls we have received. We enjoyed working with Alec Baldwin and his mom, Carol, and would do it again. We appreciate all the kind things they have said about Wegmans and respect the good work they do for communities.”

Alec Baldwin
I'm an 'American Treasure'

Alec Baldwin took even more unrelenting shots at American Airlines last night -- mocking his recent cell phone debacle on "Saturday Night Live" ... even referring to himself as an "American treasure."

Among the awesomeness ... Alec -- pretending to be the pilot of his ill-fated flight -- explained why he slammed the lavatory door so loudly during his alleged standoff with a flight attendant ... claiming, "Words with Friends" can be "frustrating."

9/11 Widow to Alec Baldwin
'Take Responsibility'
for YOUR Actions

1208_alec_baldwin_aa_ex
Alec Baldwin
invoking 9/11 during a rant against the air industry was totally "inappropriate" ... and the widow of an American Airlines co-pilot killed in the tragedy thinks Baldwin should simply admit he was wrong.

TMZ spoke with Cheryl McGuinness Hutchins -- whose husband Tom was in the cockpit of the first plane to hit the World Trade Center.

Cheryl was reacting to Baldwin's blog -- in which he wrote, "I believe carriers and airports have used [9/11] as an excuse to make the air travel experience as inelegant as possible."

CMH tells us, "I absolutely think [Baldwin's statement] was an inappropriate comment to make" ... adding, "I believe airlines used what happened on 9/11 to increase security and protect passengers as much as possible -- not to make traveling inelegant."

She continues, "If [Alec] did something inappropriate ... he shouldn’t have to point the finger at a world tragedy. He should just take responsibility for his actions and admit he should have gotten off the phone.”

A source close to Baldwin tells us, "Alec had absolutely no intention of offending families, victims or anyone else associated with the horrible tragedy of 9/11. He only referenced that date in relation to discussion of the resulting impact on the airline industry."

Greyhound Bus Lines
Alec Baldwin's a Mean Bully!!!

1207_greyhound_alec_baldwin_ex
Greyhound Bus Lines has no idea how they got caught in the crossfire between Alec Baldwin and American Airlines -- but they're not taking it sitting down ... telling TMZ, Alec is woefully ignorant when it comes to bus travel.

In case you haven't been keeping up -- Alec just wrote a diatribe online, blasting American Airlines for kicking him off one of their planes ... calling the whole ordeal a "Greyhound bus experience."

But a rep for the bus company tells us, the actor has no idea what he's talking about -- claiming, "I don’t know if he’s ever been on one of our buses (it doesn’t sound like it), but there are about 17.6 million people who travel with us every year who I’m sure wouldn’t share [his] feelings."

The rep adds, "I don’t know why he’s mentioning Greyhound, but we take pride in our safe and enjoyable service."

Alec Baldwin
Issues TOTALLY
Unapologetic Apology

1207_alec_baldwin_tmz_bn

Alec Baldwin just went OFF about American Airlines, its employees, post 9/11 travel, and the entire airline industry -- and best of all ... this rant came wrapped in an apology.

In his letter, just published on Huffingtonpost.com, Baldwin begins by apologizing to passengers on yesterday's flight ... saying, "It was never my intention to inconvenience anyone with my 'issue' with a certain flight attendant." He claims the woman singled him out to "make some example of me."

Baldwin continues ... "It's no secret that the level of service on US carriers has deteriorated to a point that would make Howard Hughes red-faced. Filthy planes, barely edible meals, cuts in jet service to less-traveled locations."

He also claims the industry used 9/11 "as an excuse to make the air travel experience as inelegant as possible."

In his closing shot, Baldwin says many flight attendants "walk the aisles of an airplane with a whistle around their neck and a clipboard in their hands," and make air travel a "Greyhound bus experience."

Best apology ever.

Note to Alec: On Greyhound, you can play "Words with Friends" all you want.

American Airlines:
Alec Baldwin Was Epic Jerk

1207_baldwin_BN_01
American Airlines
claims Alec Baldwin was "extremely rude to the crew" on a flight out of LAX yesterday -- "calling them inappropriate names and using offensive language."

In the wake of Baldwin's Twitter attacks on the company, AA has finally released a statement ...  confirming what TMZ reported yesterday -- he was an epic jerk.

AA says, "Since an extremely vocal customer has publicly identified himself as being removed from an American Airlines flight on Tuesday, Dec. 6, we have elected to provide the actual facts of the matter as well as the FAA regulations which American, and all airlines, must enforce. Cell phones and electronic devices are allowed to be used while the aircraft is at the gate and the door is open for boarding."

"When the door is closed for departure and the seat belt light is turned on, all cell phones and electronic devices must be turned off for taxi-out and take-off."

"This passenger declined to turn off his cell phone when asked to do so at the appropriate time. The passenger ultimately stood up (with the seat belt light still on for departure) and took his phone into the plane’s lavatory. He slammed the lavatory door so hard, the cockpit crew heard it and became alarmed, even with the cockpit door closed and locked."

"They immediately contacted the cabin crew to check on the situation. The passenger was extremely rude to the crew, calling them inappropriate names and using offensive language. Given the facts above, the passenger was removed from the flight and denied boarding."

Alec Baldwin
Tossed by American Airlines Captain

1206_alec_baldwin_aa_logo_exd

The last straw in the Alec Baldwin/American Airlines incident came when he "slammed" the bathroom door so loudly the captain of Flight 4 had to get involved ... according to people on the plane.

We're told Baldwin's tweets about the incident are on point -- flight attendants wanted him to shut off his cell phone in the middle of a game of "Words with Friends" ... after the cabin door closed, but the plane remained at the gate.

But according to passengers ... after the confrontation over his phone, Alec got up to go to the bathroom and angrily slammed the lavatory door.  We're told it was so loud the captain called back to flight attendants to find out what was happening.

That's when the captain himself made the call to have Baldwin removed.

Sources close to Alec claim he did not slam the door, and only got up to get the flight attendant's name so he could file a complaint -- but because the fasten seat belt sign was on he was asked to leave the plane.

Alec boarded the next LAX-JFK flight -- and we're guessing he's enjoying an intense match of 'Words' right now ... at 40,000 feet.

Alec Baldwin
Flight Attendant REAMED ME
Over 'Words with Friends'

1_7xbilbl3_1_zv243ul1
Alec Baldwin
claims an American Airlines flight attendant WENT BALLISTIC on him on a plane at LAX moments ago ... all because he was playing "Words with Friends" while the aircraft was still at the gate.

Baldwin just tweeted about the situation ... saying, "Flight attendant on American reamed me out 4 playing WORDS W FRIENDS while we sat at the gate, not moving. #nowonderamericaairisbankrupt."

It's unclear if Baldwin was removed from the plane or left voluntarily -- but he DID get off the plane and was moved to another flight.

FYI -- "Words with Friends" is basically Scrabble for your smart phone ... and it's SUPER addicting.

Alec just tweeted again, claiming he has just boarded a 3pm flight on American -- adding, "The flight attendants already look.....smarter."
