Sofia Coppola is once again casting her lens on Hollywood -- but she's not focusing on movie stars this time, but rather the people who stole from them!
According to our sources, Coppola is developing a film based on the infamous Burglar Bunch. We're told the film, which would be produced by daddy Francis' Zoetrope studio, does not have a start date or even a script yet.
Sources close to the project tell TMZ ... producers approached Burgler Buncher
Nick Prugo about being a consultant on the film, but he declined. We're told
Tess Taylor, sister of Buncher
Alexis Neiers, has now signed on to the project.
Calls to Coppola were not returned.
It's the one thing the
Burglar Bunch hasn't stolen ... your TV time ... but that's about to change ... because a made-for-TV movie about the infamous thieves
is already in production.

A rep for
Lifetime tells TMZ, the wheels are in motion for a movie called "
Bling Ring" -- which chronicles a group of teens in 2009 who pilfer $3 million in cash and jewelry ... from celebs like
Paris Hilton,
Lindsay Lohan, and
Orlando Bloom. The flick is being produced by
Silver Screen Pictures.
But don't expect to hear the names
Nick Prugo,
Rachel Lee, and
Alexis Neiers in the flick -- we're told the burglars' real names had to be changed for "legal reasons."
And get this -- "
Dirty Dancing" star
Jennifer Grey will take a lead role as the mother of the Prugo character.
The movie should be on TV in late summer.

Former "
Pretty Wild" star
Alexis Neiers just pled not guilty to two charges stemming from her arrest last December -- when cops searched her house and
discovered black tar heroin.

We're told Alexis was arraigned yesterday -- pleading not guilty to felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of a smoking device.
The ex-Burglar Buncher took a break from rehab to appear in court ... where she's due back in March.
We'll be taking your questions on everything today -- including
Michael Jackson's new album,
Tiger Woods blowing his lead during a tournament this weekend, and
Alexis Neiers in big trouble.

Oprah getting soft?
"
Pretty Wild" star/
Burglar Bunch member
Alexis Neiers had her probation revoked by a judge this morning and was ordered to be held without bail pending a hearing on Thursday.

As we first reported,
Neiers was arrested earlier this week when cops came to her home in response to a probation violation ... and allegedly found her to be in possession of black tar heroin and a fake ID.
UPDATE: Neiers' lawyer Michael Nasatir tells TMZ, “[Alexis] is a young woman with a drug problem and she needs treatment. This is her first offense. Let’s get her some recovery rather than incarceration."
We took your questions on everything today, including
Britney Spears camp claiming her BF never beat her,
Alexis Neiers' ironic new mug shot, and
Lee Harvey Oswald's coffin!

Rachel Uchitel ... first class reject?
TMZ has obtained the latest mug shot of "
Pretty Wild" star
Alexis Neiers ... and she's sporting either the worst or greatest wardrobe choice ever -- a t-shirt that says "FREE BIRD"!!!

As
we previously reported, Neiers -- who's pretty wide eyed in the mug shot -- was arrested this morning for a probation violation.
After cops searched her place, we're told they found black tar heroin and a fake Florida driver's license.
Alexis Neiers -- star of the E! reality show "
Pretty Wild" -- was just arrested for possession of black tar heroin ... law enforcement sources tell TMZ.

We're told Neiers missed a post-jail probation meeting in November -- a probation violation -- so this morning, cops decided to pay her a visit at her L.A. home.
Law enforcement sources tell us cops searched the place, discovered black tar heroin ... and immediately placed Neiers under arrest.
Neiers -- who was released in July -- is still on probation for burglarizing Orlando Bloom's L.A. home last year ... so this new arrest could lead to some serious time behind bars.
Calls to Neiers' reps have not been returned.
UPDATE: Law enforcement sources tell TMZ, Neiers was also found with a fake Florida driver's license. All in all, she was booked on two counts -- possession of a controlled substance and perjury (for the fake ID).
Jackie Collins, Danielle Steel, J.K. Rowling ... and
Alexis Neiers?

TMZ has learned the "
Pretty Wild" star is trying to shop around a book loosely based on her life. The description, we're told, reads in part: "
Think Gossip Girl goes to Hollywood -- It is a cautionary tale as well as a guilty pleasure; the reader is plunged into the crazy, out-of-control world of one of Hollywood’s most infamous party girls." Oddly, no mention of her being an ex-con.
In case you were worried every other word would be "like," fret not. Neiers is working with a ghost writer named
Sheryl Berk ... who has penned books for the likes of Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Britney Spears, and Barney the purple dinosaur.
I love you, you love me, Alexis Neiers served one month in jail after she pled no contest to a felony charge of first degree residential burglary of Orlando Bloom's home.
There's some serious drama behind the scenes on the reality show "
Pretty Wild" -- TMZ has learned one of the stars is refusing to speak to certain members of the cast ... including her adoptive mother.

Sources close to the production tell us
Playboy model
Tess Taylor has cut herself off from the family that once took her in ... which is a problem because the show is based around the family.
We're told Taylor got into a "big blow up" with her sister --
Burglar Bunch member
Alexis Neiers -- right before Alexis went to jail ... and now Taylor still refuses to make peace.
Sources close to Taylor tell us the 20-year-old feels excluded from the family -- which adopted her at a young age -- telling close friends, "No matter how many times people can tell you that you are a part of 'their' family ... there
is still something that is just different."
A subdued
Alexis Neiers walked out of
Lynwood Correctional Facility last night looking refreshed and free.

After one month in jail, one trip to the spa couldn't hurt.
