"
Superman Returns" star
Brandon Routh, 30, and former "
Lois & Clark" hunk
Dean Cain, 43, joined forces at a basketball game in Santa Monica the other day.

Question is ...
Brandon Routh's wife is also the best PR person ever, because when we asked who was packin' the bigger secret weapon -- the Man of Steel or "Watchmen's"
Dr. Manhattan -- she had the perfect answer.
David Beckham played a charity soccer game to benefit the victims of the California wildfires -- and the competition was stiff!

The game raised more than $90,000, with Becks scoring two goals and three assists against Anthony LaPaglia's celeb-filled team "Hollywood United."
Ron Jeremy, 54-years-old and growing more portly each day, still manages to score with twenty-something chicks. For those unfamiliar, the term commonly associated with a male "
cougar" is a "
dingo."
TMZ spotted "The Hedgehog" last night at Les Deux, where the star of "Anal Princess Diaries 2" and "The Texas Dildo Masquerade" was flirting with a group of females -- with one lucky 26-year-old hanging on and giving the porn star
a few pecks on the cheek.
"Superman Returns" star Brandon Routh was out with fiancee Courtney Ford at Il Sole, where he said another "Superman" flick is definitely happening. Also getting some Sole food; comedian George Carlin, who didn't want to be seen looking like "a bum."
Also spotted: Kelly Clarkson, David Spade and Mark McGrath at Koi -- and a generous Cris Judd (remember him, J.Lo?) in today's kiss-my-Kryptonite edition of Star Catcher.

While promoting their film in Europe, Brandon Routh and the cast of "Superman Returns" have been bombarded with questions about another summer blockbuster, "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest."
With
"Pirates" breaking records it's opening weekend and "Superman" fighting to break even, the comparisons came as no surprise and the cast was certainly prepared for the line of questions.
Kate Bosworth, who plays Lois Lane in the flick,
laughed off rumors of competition with boyfriend (and "Pirates" star) Orlando Bloom. "It's like the only thing that we talk about. Come home everyday, come home from work and talk about the box office," she joked, "It's so not a part of our consciousness, we are equally supportive of each other."
Of course, if the Man of Steel and Captain Jack Sparrow were to meet face to face, it'd probably be the latter who would make a run for it faster than a speeding bullet ... with a bottle of rum, of course.
Imagine a world where "Entourage's" fake "Aquaman" movie really existed ...
After the record-breaking performance of "Aquaman," another superhero movie is set to open and try to steal away the box office crown. With June 28 right around the corner, does "Superman" have what it takes to dethrone "Aquaman"?
Box office pundits were surprised when "Aquaman" broke the record for the biggest opening weekend ever -- with $116,844,114 -- besting the 2002 opening of "Spider-Man" by $2 million.
For director James Cameron, "Aquaman" marked his biggest opening weekend by far. "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" took in $31.7 million during its first three days, while "Titanic" only took in $28.6 million. "Titanic," of course, went on to be the highest-grossing movie of all time ($600.7 million).

He can stop bullets, but not even Superman can stop Cupid's arrow.
Brandon Routh has been with his girlfriend, actress Courtney Ford, for two and a half years. The happy couple arrived at the "Superman Returns" premiere together and were inseparable.
While Brandon's career is flying high, Courtney insists the action star hasn't changed at all. In fact, Courtney describes the relationship as "kinda boring."
Boring or not, this hot couple will be gracing more red carpets in the future. The "Superman Returns" buzz is at a fever pitch and it's only a matter of time before another Superman sequel is in the works.
The film is not even in cinemas yet, but "Superman Returns" star Brandon Routh already has his own wax figure modeled after his character.
Routh was on hand as the figure was unveiled the Man of Steel- er, wax- by the famous Madame Tussauds wax museum in New York City Tuesday.
The young actor said "It's very flattering, but it's Superman as much as it is me. It's great to have that part of history in Madame Tussauds and for people to come up and see is kind of exciting. Everybody wants to see "Superman Returns."
"Superman Returns" flies it's way into theaters on June 28th.
TMZ was outside the fan-packed "Late Show" studio in NY to catch a couple of big stars.
Our cameras caught up with new "Superman Returns" star Brandon Routh as he entered the late-night show, while tons of fans screamed and begged for a glimpse or possibly an autograph.
Also on hand, "Just Married" star Brittany Murphy who was in New York to announce that she will be the voice of Tinkerbell for Disney's upcoming new animated flick "The Tinkerbell Movie," a first in the "Disney Fairies" line.
On the West Coast, our own Josh Levine was at Hollywood hotspot "Hyde" where he ran into No Doubt's bassist Tony Kanal, Lukas Haas and and blonde "Baywatch" babe Nicole Eggert.
All this and more in the coast to coast version of Star Catcher.
Director Bryan Singer brings the boy in blue back to the big screen with
"Superman Returns".
This years most anticipated summer blockbuster brings the ultimate superhero back from a mysterious absence of a few years. Superman's comeback is bittersweet as he learns that love of his life Lois Lane has moved on with her life and has a new family. To make matters worse, Lex Luthor, played by a freshly shaved Kevin Spacey, is back to his old tricks.
The film stars newcomer Brandon Routh in the role that made Christopher Reeves famous and super-hottie Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane.
"Superman Returns" flies onto screens July 28th.
