Bret Michaels
Settles Head Banging Lawsuit
The lawsuit over a smack to the head that nearly caused Bret Michaels his life has settled.
The mishap occurred during Bret's Tony Awards performance back in 2009, when a set piece whacked him in the head. Bret suffered a busted lip, a broken nose and brain bleeding. The following year, Bret nearly bought the farm after suffering a brain hemorrhage and warning stroke.
Bret sued producers of the Tony Awards as well as CBS. The terms of the settlement are confidential.
Bret Michaels' Super Cruise -- Super Canceled

The cruise was billed as a 4-day round-trip voyage out of Miami -- and Michaels promised to be "out and about" with the fans ... signing autographs, mingling and even guest bartending.
But Tuesday, fans received an official cancellation notice from the cruise company citing "lack of participation."
But Bret blames the whole thing on a "less-than-reputable promoter" -- who "feels he can take advantage of both artists and fans."
Michaels -- who is currently touring with Poison and Motley Crue -- explains, "I want to reassure everyone that I have went out of my way to try and make this the best fan cruise on the high seas ... Know that I am working hard to right this wrong."
Bret also ensures fans, "All money will be refunded to you."
Flav & Bret Michaels -- The KICK ASS '911' Remix

Flavor joined forces with Bret during a show Wednesday night in Dubuque, Iowa -- where the clock-rocking rapper started spitting his 1990 hit "911 Is a Joke" a capella ... when Bret and his band kicked in with guitars and drums.
Seriously, this clip kicks ass.
On another note ... wonder if they hit up Flavor's Iowa chicken joint after the concert?
Bret Michaels Sues -- The Tonys Almost KILLED Me

Michaels has filed a lawsuit against Tony Award Productions, CBS and others ... blaming producers for not instructing him on how to safely exit the stage after his performance was over ... because while he tried to exit, he was "smacked" in the face by a piece of the set.
In the suit, filed today in L.A. County Superior Court, Michaels claims he had to be hospitalized for a broken nose and a cut lip.
Six months after the awards, Bret nearly died from a subarachnoid brain hemorrhage -- and the rocker insists it was NO coincidence.
In his suit, Michaels claims, "One of the most common causes of this type of hemorrhage is head trauma -- exactly like the one Michaels suffered at the hands of the Tony Awards."
Michaels notes, "Through his sheer will to live, to see his children grow up, [he] was able to survive this trauma."Bret says producers have "failed and refused" to remedy the situation ... and even blamed him for the mishap at the Tony Awards, claiming he "missed his mark."
Michaels is suing for unspecified damages. A rep for the Tonys had no comment.
Bret Michaels, Miley Cyrus Awkward Duet Back On

The song, the Poison classic "Every Rose Has Its Thorn," has had a strange history to say the least. Plans to release it got scrapped last year when rumors spread that Michaels had an affair with Miley's mom, Tish Cyrus. Everyone involved denied the rumors and BIlly Ray and Tish pulled the plug on their divorce yesterday.
Michaels now reportedly says the track is a go, even hinting at the reason it was delayed, saying, "The record label was supposed have to this huge humongous release of 'Every Rose.' It was going to be Miley's next-step song, but because of that, they stepped back."
Michaels says the single will probably drop over the summer.
'Rock of Love' Finalist -- Jailed for Pimp Cup Attack

25-year-old Brittanya O'Campo checked into Ventura County Jail in California yesterday ... after pleading guilty to felony assault with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor battery for an incident back in 2008.
Law enforcement sources tell us the deadly weapon was a "pimp cup" -- à la Lil' Jon.
In fact, we're told the woman on the receiving end of O'Campo's pimp smack was so busted up ... she needed several stitches to close the wounds.
Brittanya -- who clearly spent some time on her eyebrows before her mug shot -- twittered a goodbye note to her fans ... saying, "I will be locked up for 6 monthes [sic]. I can only get PostCards, no letters or packages."

Miley Cyrus 86s Bret Michaels Song at AMAs

Two sources connected with the production of the AMAs tell TMZ that Miley changed her mind about singing the song within the last few days. A source connected with the production says the rundown for the show -- which includes the song list -- changed on Thursday and that's when Miley's version of "Every Rose" disappeared. A second source close to the show confirmed the last minute change.
A source close to Miley told TMZ Miley strongly considered doing the song, but decided on doing "Love and Forgiveness" two weeks ago -- that coincides with reports of the affair, which Bret strongly denies.
Either way, no roses nor thorns for Miley tonight.
Bret Michaels -- I Didn't Hook Up with Miley's Mom

Michaels appeared on "Fox and Friends" this morning -- where the crew got right to the point about rumors that the singer had a "romance" with Tish Cyrus.
Hoosier Cops: There's Pot in Bret Michaels' Bus

The DeKalb County Sheriff's Office tells TMZ Bret was onboard one of buses when cops made the stop at around 11:30 PM. K9s found the pot. One of the buses -- not the one Bret was on -- had Schedule II controlled substances inside, and cops tells us they're illegal drugs.
Citations were issued but no arrests were made. The case is being forwarded to DeKalb prosecutors.
Michaels' rep gave us the following statement:
"Two of Bret’s tour buses were pulled over late last night. Officers on the scene claimed there were no trailer tag lights. No arrests were made. Mr. Michaels allowed an open search of the buses and everything was handled in a professional manner."
