Brooke Shields, 45, and
Mary-Louise Parker, 46, both blossomed at the same event in NYC this week.

Question is ...
Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Garner and
Brooke Shields all showed up Friday night for the grand opening of the Casino Club at The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, WV.

Question is ...
It appears
Brooke Shields has a little something in common with
Nic Cage -- the actress is accused of stiffing the
IRS out of more than $10,000.

According to a federal tax lien filed on December 31, 2009 -- the same day
Uncle Sam smacked Cage for $6 mil -- Shields and her husband
Christopher Henchy owe
$4391.70 in unpaid taxes from 2004 and
$5932.50 from 2005.
It's unclear as to why it took the government 4 years to clamp down on the couple.
FYI -- In 2005, Shields had a lot on her mind -- that was the year she got into a major media war with Tom Cruise over the use of psychiatric drugs.
Brooke Shields and
Jim Belushi survived a minor plane crash at the famous
Hearst Castle a few days ago ... once again proving Brooke Shields is nothing short of a real life
Zelig.

It all went down on Friday at the private landing strip on the Hearst Castle estate --
San Luis Obispo Sheriff's Dept. tells TMZ Shields and Belushi were being flown to an event at the castle.
The Cessna prop plane landed safely ... but here's the problem -- the pilot forgot to set the parking brake after the plane came to a stop. He was in the back helping Brooke and Jim out ... when the plane rolled into a 2010 Buick SUV. The wing struck the SUV ... but the SUV got the worst of it.
We're told no one was injured, but the
NTSB was notified.
This is the 4th time -- that we know of -- that Brooke has landed in the middle of a celebrity news event.
-- item: Brooke Shields "dates"
Michael Jackson and then tells all at MJ's memorial.
-- item: Brooke Shields becomes
Tom Cruise's Scientology foil ... then gives birth down the hall in the same place and at the same time Suri was born.
-- item: Brooke Shields was the catalyst for the Kiefer Sutherland headbutt incident at a New York bar
-- item: And now ... the celebrity plane crash
If you're a celebrity ... and come within eye-sight of Brooke Shields ... run!
Kiefer Sutherland is officially off the hook for that whole
headbutting incident in NYC back in May ... because it amounted to a bunch of nothing.
The Manhattan D.A. has just rejected the case against the "24" star and we're told it's all because officials determined it was a petty matter that did not rise to the level of criminal conduct.
And it gets even better for Sutherland -- we've learned the L.A. City Attorney is equally unimpressed with the incident and will not try and violate Kiefer's probation from a prior DUI conviction.
Just like Jack Bauer, Kiefer got off virtually unscathed.
Brooke Shields has settled her beef with
The National Enquirer.
A few weeks back, a freelance reporter working for the tabloid checked Shields' mother out of her nursing home. According to Shields, her mother, who suffers from dementia, was driven around in an attempt to find a "story." It was disgusting then, and it still seems disgusting now.
The mag responded to these allegations of gross abuse by claiming the reporter had been a friend of Shields' mother for ten years and was merely helping her run some errands. Interesting ....
In the end, the Enquirer has agreed to apologize for the actions of its reporter and make a sizable donation to further research on dementia, reports People Magazine.
Bristol Palin may wanna cover her ears --
Brooke Shields claims she would've swiped her V-card a lot sooner if she wouldn't have had so many issues with body image.
In a ridiculously candid interview with Health Magazine, Brooke said her biggest health regret was "Not learning to love the way I looked earlier. And I think I would have had sex a lot earlier! I think I would have lost my virginity earlier than I did at 22."
Highly surprising since she was only 15 when she got naked in "The Blue Lagoon."
It's been over 30 years since she played a teen prostitute, but
Brooke Shields is still a
pretty baby.

Here's the 16-year-old back in 1981(
left) -- and 28 years later, the 43-year-old version at an event in Hollywood this week (
right).
Who wouldn't headbutt a fashion designer for her?!
Brooke Shields is claiming a reporter and a photog working for the National Enquirer checked out her 75-year-old mother from her nursing home in hopes of a good "tabloid story."
Teri Shields was signed out of her nursing home Thursday, and Brooke tells
People that a reporter drove her mother around New Jersey in hopes of finding a good story. Brooke says her mother suffers from dementia, and claims her mom was allegedly tricked into leaving the facility after the journalist claimed they were friends.
Teri Shields was later found by police in a nearby restaurant, unharmed, having lunch with the reporter. The Enquirer claims the freelance reporter has known Teri for 10 years and was given permission by the facility to check her out.
No one was arrested and charges have not been filed.
It's not easy being green -- but it's a helluva lot of fun being Grier, Brooke Shields' daughter.

Shields took her two daughters to The Muppet Whatnot Workshop -- think Build-a-Bear, only 200x cooler -- yesterday at the FAO Schwarz in New York.
Baby, she leaves a
pretty penny!
Brooke Shields and producer/hubby Chris Henchy had dinner last night at Hollywood's favorite Italian joint, Il Sole. A TMZ spy tells us that the couple tipped their server almost 40%! Holy ravioli!
Shields can afford it -- her new series, "Lipstick Jungle" debuts this fall.
