No one is going to confuse
Bruce Willis with
Ebenezer Scrooge -- because the guy showed some serious Christmas spirit when he dropped a gigantic tip when he bought his Xmas tree this week.
We're told Willis dropped $175 on a 10-foot tree from A1 Christmas Trees and Lights in Los Angeles. The owner tells TMZ Bruce was really nice to everyone there -- shaking everyone's hand who asked -- but wouldn't pose for pics.
Bruce made up for it though ... forking over $100 to each of the guys who helped him pick out the tree.
Yippee-ki-yay.

A stuntman was killed on the Bulgaria set of "
Expendables 2" yesterday ... during a big stunt involving an explosion in a rubber boat.
A second stuntman was also injured during the incident ... and is reportedly in stable condition.
It's unclear if any of the big stars in the film -- including
Sylvester Stallone,
Jason Statham,
Bruce Willis and
Jet Li -- were on set during the accident.
The production company behind the flick released a statement saying, "It is with great regret that we confirm this unfortunate accident."
A rep added, "Our hearts go out to the families and those on the production affected by this tragedy. The filmmakers are working closely with the authorities in responding to and investigating this accident."
Tallulah Belle Willis, the 17-year-old daughter of
Bruce Willis and
Demi Moore, had a brush with the law last night over alcohol ... law enforcement sources tell TMZ.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... cops spotted three girls getting out of a car in Hollywood at around 11:00 PM, carrying what appeared to be two bottles of alcohol. The officers probed further and determined it was indeed the hard stuff. Here's the problem ... all three girls are underage.
Tallulah Belle and her cohorts were cited at the scene for underage possession -- but since Tallulah Belle -- who has appeared in "
The Scarlet Letter" and "
The Whole Ten Yards" -- is a minor, cops couldn't just release her .... they needed to find an adult to pick her up .
So Tallulah Belle called Bruce ... but a dutiful Demi did the hard labor, getting in a car and retrieving T.B.
Someone's in trouble.
Action stars of yore,
Bruce Willis, 55,
Arnold Schwarzenegger, 63, and
Sylvester Stallone, 64, huddled together and flexed their face muscles on the red carpet at the premiere of their new action flick "
The Expendables" last night.

The Question is...
Bruce Willis claims he's no rug killer ... and the accusations that he had anything to do with the brutal, wine-stained death of a super-expensive Italian rug are pure BS.

Willis has fired back at a rug dealer who's suing him for allegedly spilling red wine all over a $27,700 rug Bruce was road testing for his L.A. area apartment.
According to the suit, Bruce refused to pay for the rug.
Bruce admits in legal docs -- filed in L.A. County Superior Court -- the rug was indeed in his home for almost two months -- but he's adamant he kept it clean.
Still, Willis claims he offered to clean the rug -- but the company refused the offer. Willis also insists he was never the proud or not-so-proud owner of the rug.
Now, Willis wants the judge to toss the suit -- and wants the rug company to pay his legal bills.
Bruce Willis must really have a sixth sense.

Here's the 31-year-old back in 1986 (
left) -- and 24 years later, the 55-year-old version at an event in Madrid on Monday (
right).
Yippee ki yay!
Bruce Willis is accused of murdering a $27,700 rug -- and according to a lawsuit, his weapon of choice was red wine.
The alleged victim is a handmade wool and silk rug that Willis' interior designer selected from Mansour, a fine rug store in L.A.
According to a lawsuit, filed in L.A. County Superior Court, the rug people delivered the goods to Bruce's L.A. pad back in December in perfect condition. They even gave the actor a 10% discount -- but they made it clear, "All sales are final."
Fast forward nearly 6 weeks -- after Bruce had the rug altered a few inches -- the rug store claims Bruce suddenly wanted to return the rug ... even though he hadn't yet paid for it.
But when the rug people came to collect, according to the lawsuit, the rug had been stained by "spilled or dripped red wine."
According to the docs, Mansour claims Bruce's people claim they didn't cause the wine damage -- but the rug people claim the stains definitely didn't exist when they originally delivered it.
Now, Mansour claims they're stuck with a stained rug -- and they want Bruce and his people to pay for it ... full price!!
Bruce's lawyer,
Marty Singer, tells TMZ his client never purchased the rug ... it was delivered to his home on consignment. And, Singer says, the rug wasn't damaged or dirty but Willis still offered to clean it. Singer calls the suit "ridiculous."
Robin Williams just lost a $6 million lawsuit over the movie "
Cop Out" -- formerly titled "
A Couple of Dicks."
Williams had sued Gold Circle Films, claiming he was hired to star in the flick and was entitled to a $6 million fee whether the movie was made or not. Gold Circle pulled the plug on the movie and eventually gave up the rights.
Warner Bros. ended up producing the movie with
Bruce Willis and
Tracy Morgan.
Gold Circle claimed it never had a contract with Williams and never guaranteed him a "play or pay" fee. The judge agreed and tossed the case this morning on a summary judgment motion.
The lawsuit was filed by Williams' company, Fiat Risus, Inc.
The lawyers for Gold Circle,
Michael Holtz and
Marty Singer,
call the case a "meritless lawsuit" and tell TMZ they will ask the court for attorney's fees and court costs.
Williams rep could not be reached for comment.
There's no debating the guy can make a kick-ass action flick -- but when
Bruce Willis told photogs yesterday he's "doubtful" his movies will ever get him an
Academy Award, did he have a point?

FYI -- Bruce won a Worst Actor Razzie in 1999 for "Armageddon."

Local fire officials tell TMZ they have ruled the fire that burned down an Idaho ski lodge partly owned by
Bruce Willis was accidental.
Fairfield Volunteer Fire Chief Wayne Marolf told us they have concluded the Monday morning fire was the result of the main electrical panel shorting out.
The resort closed for the season last week. No one was injured.
Bruce Willis is being sued by a production company that claims the actor committed to a bargain-basement deal to direct a movie and then walked off the set, never to return.
Foresight Unlimited claims it inked a deal with Willis to direct a movie called "Three Stories about Joan," starring Owen Wilson and Camilla Belle (Joe Jonas' GF). Willis was supposed to get $196,404 to direct the flick, budgeted at $20 mil.
The lawsuit, filed today in L.A. County Superior Court, claims "Willis abruptly and without notice terminated his services as director for personal reasons and walked off the set." The suit doesn't get more specific.
The suit seeks more than $4 mil in damages.
Willis' legal pit bull, Marty Singer, tells us the suit is "absurd" and that the movie collapsed because the producers didn't have the money to pay anyone. Singer says the producers were required to salary money in an escrow account, but never did. He also says Willis will sue the producers for the fee they promised.
