Carlos Mencia knows that fat is funny -- and dropping 70 lbs can be a career killer for a comedian -- but this weekend, the comic found a way to make skinny work ... with the help of a little person.
A slimmed-down Mencia was telling us all about the weight loss at The Improv in L.A. ... when his former "Mind of Mencia" co-star Little Brad stopped by.
Mencia -- pointing to his pal -- told us, "We wear the same size shirt" ... adding, "I'll show you that I fit in a dwarf shirt now." The two proceeded to swap tops ... right in the middle of the street.
He added, "I don't know if this is cool or pathetic." Check out the footage -- you be the judge.

Mencia, star of Comedy Central's "Mind of Mencia," is frequently accused of stealing his material -- earning the nickname "Carlos Menstealia." Joe Rogan, a comic and former host of "Fear Factor," famously confronted Mencia on stage earlier this year in a 10-minute YouTube video documenting Mencia's alleged theft. Another popular YouTube clip shows a famous bit from the 1983 Bill Cosby special, "Himself," and a strikingly similar performance by Mencia in his 2006 comedy special, "No Strings Attached."
A February Radar magazine article about joke stealing referred to George Lopez's feud with Mencia over a bit he claims Mencia stole and put in his HBO special. Lopez says he threw Mencia against a wall.

The only thing Carlos Mencia loves more than his tour bus are his custom motorcycles, and he gave our camera an up-close introduction to both.
We dropped in on the red-hot comic at the Gibson Theater in Los Angeles and he took a minute or two to show us what's what.
The tour bus has Xbox, iPod hook up, Carlos' giant mug painted on the side and twelve beds "big enough to fit you, on top of somebody." That's how he put it, anyway.
