Just when it seemed like Chris Tucker's tax debt couldn't get any bigger ... the government has tacked on another half a million dollars to his already outrageous bill ... meaning he's broken the $12 million tax lien barrier. Congrats?

As TMZ first reported, Tucker is in the hole to Uncle Sam for a whopping $11,571,909.26 for federal taxes from 2001, 2002 and 2004 through 2006.

Now it seems the state of Georgia is getting in on the act ... recently filing a tax lien of their own against Tucker for $592,594.82 for the year 2007.

We'll save you the time ... it comes out to a total of $12,164,504.08. 

Calls to Tucker's rep were not returned.

Chris Tucker is cutting his losses -- shedding two massive homes in Florida to help dig himself out of his financial hole ... TMZ has learned.

Tucker got lucky with the first property -- an 8,861 square foot, 5-bedroom waterfront home in Lake County -- successfully negotiating a short sale before the bank planned to foreclose on it last month.

Chris' bank accepted a $2 million bid for the house -- satisfying the actor's debt -- even though he allegedly owed $4.4 million on the property before selling it. Considering Tucker bought the place for $6 million, it was a great deal for whoever just snatched it off the market.

In October, Tucker sold the other Florida pad for $1,050,000 ... much less than his $1.5 million asking price.

But any money is good money at this point -- as we previously reported, Tucker still allegedly owes Uncle Sam $11.5 million in back taxes. Good thing they're making another "Friday."

Chris Tucker's money problems could be the best thing to ever happen to his movie career ... because the actor has been in serious talks with Ice Cube about reprising his role as SMOKEYYYYY ... so says the guy who played DeBo in the "Friday" series.

Tiny Lister was chillin' last night outside Pueblo Viejo in Hollywood -- when the scariest man in Hollywood told us ... Tucker flew him out on his private jet recently to discuss the possibility of getting the ORIGINAL "Friday" crew back together.

FYI -- Tucker shot into superstardom playing pot-obsessed Smokey in the original "Friday" back in 1995 ... and then refused to appear in any of the sequels, citing religious reasons.

But now, Lister tells us ... Tucker and Cube have a big pow-wow set for next week to discuss a 4th "Friday" film ... adding, "This is gonna be the big one."

Lister told us he and Tucker also talked about doing a sequel to the 1997 hit, "The Fifth Element."

Sidenote -- Chris Tucker still has a private jet????

The IRS hasn’t forgotten about Chris Tucker’s $11.5 million debt … TMZ has learned that Uncle Sam is still trying to collect their cash … 17 months after slapping the actor with a big, fat tax bill.

According to the L.A. County Recorder’s Office, the lien issued against Tucker back in July 2010 is still active … which means, he still owes money … which means the government can legally seize his assets.


TMZ broke the story … the IRS claims Tucker stiffed them out of income tax during multiple years … including 2001, when Tucker allegedly raked in a $20 mil payday for “Rush Hour 2.”

Still, Tucker is finally laughing at his financial troubles in a standup routine, joking last weekend, “that’s the last time I let Wesley Snipes help me out with my taxes.”

No comment from Tucker's camp.

With the government still breathing down his neck for $15 mil in back taxes, Chris Tucker finally surfaced in Hollywood last night ... at an expensive restaurant ... with a really expensive car.



As we previously reported, Tucker allegedly owes $11.5 mil to the IRS and $3.5 mil to the State of California for unpaid taxes stemming back to 2001.

It appears the real estate bubble exploded all over Chris Tucker -- the tax-troubled star is trying to sell his Florida mansion for $2 million ... even though he paid $6 million for it just three years ago!



According to public records, Tucker took out a $4.2 million loan to score the 8861 square foot home back in 2007 ... a home that includes 5 bedrooms, a wine cellar, pirate ship-themed home theater and a library with a SECRET ROOM! The home is located in swanky Montverde ... a suburb of Orlando.

Tucker owns multiple properties in California -- according to RealEstalker.com -- but it's unclear if he's looking to unload any of those as well.

As TMZ first reported, Tucker is dealing with some serious tax issues at the moment -- the IRS claims he owes more than $11 mil ... which makes the timing of this sale much more relevant.

Chris Tucker's ongoing tax problems have reached Nicolas Cage proportions -- according to new docs, the "Rush Hour" star now owes the IRS more than $11 million in back taxes.
 

The Internal Revenue Service filed documents with the L.A. County Recorder's Office yesterday, which show Tucker owes $11,571,909.26 in federal taxes for the years 2001, 2002 and 2004 through 2006.

2002 -- $5,060,074.23
2004 -- $55,544.84
2005 -- $660,414.94
2006 -- $1,788,080.91

But this isn't Tucker's first issue with taxes -- as we previously reported, the State of California filed a lien against Tucker for allegedly not paying $3,594,409 in state taxes over the same time span.

FYI -- Back in 2001, Tucker reportedly took in a $20 million payday for "Rush Hour 2" and scored $25 million for "Rush Hour 3" ... which hit theaters in 2007.

So far, no word from Chris' people on the tax situation.

California's $31 billion debt crisis is all Chris Tucker's fault -- at least some of it is. Records show the actor owes Cali over $3 million worth of back taxes.

According to The Detroit News, the state filed a $3,594,409 lien against Tucker on June 24 -- four years worth of unpaid taxes.

Tucker better watch out -- or Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger will come after him with his giant budget slashing hunting knife.

Like father, like daughter. Michael Lohan escaped death after crashing his car into a pole and it burst into flames. He had been driving with a suspended license at the time and had a blood-alcohol level nearly double the legal limit. Check out the video of his charred Volvo - hard to believe he walked away unscathed.

And his daughter has been involved in not one, but two vehicular mishaps. In the second one, Lindsay crashed her Mercedes on Robertson Blvd. in a trendy area of Los Angeles - and right near celebrity hotspot the Ivy. After the crash, Lohan ran into the nearby Hideaway House Antiques shop to hide from the paparazzi. While plenty of photogs were on the scene, as one eyewitness would tell TMZ, they were not responsible for this accident.
