Dennis Hopper's estate has rejected his estranged wife Victoria's massive $45 million claim against the estate ... this according to papers filed in court last week.

The estate doesn't slam the door completely on Victoria ... they leave open the opportunity for her to submit claims for particular pieces of property she may own -- if she can provide the proper documentation.
The estate also makes clear their child, Galen, will be sufficiently provided for.
It's worth noting, while the estate checked the box saying her $45,233,653.00 claim was rejected ... they also checked the box allowing her claim for $0.00.
Dennis Hopper's widow,
Victoria Hopper, has settled part of her beef with Dennis' Estate ... TMZ has learned.

According to legal docs filed with the court and obtained by TMZ ... the Estate will sell the extensive art collection and 40% will be put in trust for their 7-year-old daughter,
Galen. The docs don't say who gets the remaining 60%.
And a house in a really expensive area of L.A. will also go in trust for Galen.
Victoria agrees not to "interfere" with the sale of Hopper's main house in Venice, California, where Victoria has been living.
Victoria will get $10,000 for moving expenses.
The trust will pay Victoria $4,000 a month for Galen's child support and she'll also get $6,000 a month in "family support."
Dennis Hopper's widow,
Victoria Hopper, has just filed a $45 million creditor's claim against the estate.

As for how Victoria gets $45 mil, there are pages of claims, which include hundreds of thousands of dollars in lawyer's fees, costs of raising their 7-year-old child and a cut of the property Dennis owned.
Victoria also claims she suffered a loss of income while she was married to Dennis, to the tune of $2.26 million.
Victoria also wants a cool $10 million for defamation of character during the heated divorce battle.
And there are expenses for the horse, of course of course, to the tune of $4,000.
It all adds up.
Dennis Hopper's widow claims the actor's trust is trying to force her out of the family homestead and into a hovel near a manure-filled horse stable.

Victoria Hopper is currently living on Dennis' $6 million Venice compound but his trust -- which includes Dennis' eldest daughter Marin -- wants to sell the property. A source close to Victoria says the trust has no legal right to sell the property.
The trust has now offered to move Victoria into the fancy schmancy Brentwood neighborhood, but Victoria says there are big problems with the home:
-- The house is 1,176 square feet on a parcel that's only 1,423 square feet -- tiny for Brentwood
-- It's right next to a stable with 15 horses that produce piles of manure
-- It's on a hairpin curve on Sunset Blvd. where a car recently crashed into the house -- Buzz kill!
So the standoff continues.
The administrators of
Dennis Hopper's trust want to sell off his multi-million dollar compound in Venice, CA -- but first they need the court to force Dennis' estranged wife
Victoria Hopper off the property.

The Hopper trust recently filed a petition -- in
L.A. County Superior Court -- to recover possession of the real estate from Victoria.
In the documents, the trust -- which includes Dennis' eldest daughter Marin -- claims Victoria is "wrongfully possessing and withholding ... control" of the compound, which is valued at just over $6 million.
According to the papers, Victoria was offered a different home in Brentwood -- which she already co-owns with the Hopper trust -- but she refused to move out of the Venice property.
The trust administrators say they need to sell the property in order to pay off Dennis' debts, according to the papers.
At the time of Dennis' death the trust points out that he and Victoria were engaged in a bitter and acrimonious divorce. That divorce was never finalized before Dennis died.
A dogfight is shaping up over
Dennis Hopper's estate ... and an unintended victim could be his 7-year-old daughter
Galen.

We've learned lawyers for
Victoria Hopper and Dennis' estate met last Friday to try and hash out an agreement -- to no avail. We're told the people in control of the estate -- the trustees -- want to kick Victoria and Galen off of Dennis' property immediately, but Victoria refuses to go.
As for dividing up the spoils of the estate, we've learned Dennis Hopper drafted an amendment to his estate plan back in March, in which he effectively tried to cut down Galen's share from 40% to 25%. Under California law, however, the amendment may not be valid, because changes to an estate plan are severely restricted when a divorce is pending.
And we've learned the lawyers have already drawn the battle lines over Victoria's cut in the estate -- she believes she's entitled to 25% ... the estate believes she should get zippo.
TMZ has just obtained
Dennis Hopper's death certificate ... which lists his cause of death as hepatic (liver) failure and prostate cancer.
According to the doc, Hopper had hepatic failure for 3 days and prostate cancer for 9 years.

The certificate is unspectacular, noting that the actor is "married" -- a status Dennis desperately wanted to change before his death.
We took your questions on everything -- including
Al and
Tipper Gore separating,
Jesse James using the Nazi photo to his advantage, and
Bret Michaels possibly taking a judge's seat on "
American Idol."
Plus:
Dennis Hopper's death .. and
Gary Coleman's wife pulling the plug.
Dennis Hopper may have died peacefully, but TMZ has learned a war is about to erupt over his estate -- partially because Dennis died a married man.

Dennis had been desperately trying to divorce
Victoria Hopper -- he filed in January -- but the clock ticked too quickly, and the divorce was not final when he died this morning.
Why the race to split up? Under
the prenup, Victoria gets 25% of Dennis' fortune and a $250,000 life insurance payout -- but only if they were married
and living together when Dennis died.
That 'living together' part is critical because Victoria has been living in a separate house, on the same property as Dennis. Sources tell us Victoria will argue that since she was on the property, she
was living with Dennis -- and is therefore entitled to the big payout.
Dennis' high powered attorney
Joe Mannis isn't surprised, saying "She said she would challenge it, and I fully expect her to do so."
The divorce action is officially over now and this all moves to probate court -- where both sides say they're gonna fight.
Get ready for a battle royal.
