Eddie Griffin gave Kim Kardashian a run for her money ... for SHORTEST MARRIAGE EVER -- because after just six months of wedded bliss, the comedian is officially divorced.

TMZ broke the story ... Eddie tied the knot last September at a Vegas chapel -- with a woman named Nia Rivers -- and one month later, the couple filed a joint divorce petition, citing "irreconcilable differences."

A month after THAT, Griffin and Nia attempted a reconciliation -- but that was short-lived ... and last month, the divorce was finalized by a Nevada judge.

According to the docs, obtained by TMZ,  the couple is incompatible in marriage -- but the split was pretty amicable ... because both agreed to joint custody of their two-year-old child King Edward Griffin.

According to the docs, Nia will receive $2,500 in monthly child support.

One last thing -- the couple agreed that neither person would ever disclose details about the split ... whether in a book, a screenplay, or any media interviews. So much for that made-for-TV special.

Eddie Griffin just can't decide if he wants to be a married man, because he got hitched in September, filed for divorce in October, and reconciled a few days ago.

Now people close to the couple tell us ... they're giving it one more college try, and have put the divorce on hold.

Eddie Griffin and his new wife had ZERO plans to get married on the fly in Vegas last week -- his wife tells TMZ, they just woke up and decided out of the blue ... it was time to tie the knot.

Griffin's bride Nia Rivers tells us, it came out of nowhere on Thursday -- all of a sudden, they couldn't go any longer without being married ... so the couple beelined to a Vegas wedding chapel that same day.

Eddie and Nia -- who just bought their 8-bedroom dream home outside Sin City -- got engaged in June ... inside the revolving restaurant on top of the Westin building in Atlanta.

They have an 18-month-old son -- and Nia tells us, as soon as they find the right sitter ... the newlyweds are heading straight to Fiji for their honeymoon.

Griffin and his fiancee Nia Rivers rolled into the Vegas Weddings chapel on Thursday afternoon -- where they took the plunge in front of 4 guests.

We're told the couple was in a "playful mood" -- and appeared to be very much in love.

Sources say the Griffins splurged on the Cherish Package -- which includes limo transportation, a bouquet for the bride, a boutonniere for the groom and 9 photos.

Eddie Griffin unleashed a nasty, hilarious and expletive packed barrage of insults on an unsuspecting photog last night -- all because the guy wanted to know when the world can expect another "Undercover Brother."


The answer "Never" would have sufficed.

Eddie Griffin is in the middle of a seriously nasty lawsuit -- one littered with allegations of deception, fraud and worst of all ... bouncing one of those comically oversized donation checks.



It's all over a $150,000 gift Griffin presented to the "Jamaica 360" program -- which sends 100 African American college grads on a career building vacation to Jamaica. Sure the intentions were good -- but according to a lawsuit filed by a man who went on the trip, the check bounced.

The man, Samir Sayegh, claims he was then duped into lending Griffin his credit card to cover a hotel bill while they were in Jamaica -- but according to the suit, Griffin took the card and secretly made a $150,000 charge to the main developer of J-360. Two weeks later, Samir got a bill from American Express with the six-figure charge.

So now ... AmEx is suing Samir for the $150,000 charge ... and Samir is suing Eddie and all the event developers to make them foot the bill. Good times.

Griffin's lawyer just told us "Eddie is denying all allegations."

In one of the great profanity-laced tirades we've ever seen, Eddie Griffin exploded all over our photog in Hollywood last night after we asked a simple question about the comic's good friend Michael Jackson.


But after the racial slurs and the violent threats, Eddie dragged two more people into the tongue-lashing who really didn't belong -- Jesus Christ and an '80s hairband guy.

Alleged punch happy funnyman Eddie Griffin says he didn't attack the guy who is suing him and he doesn't even need to stand up for his mama -- because she can hold her own.

Griffin called into KKUU 92.7 "Da Morning Show with Erin and Casey" this morning and kept referring to his 5'7" stature as to why he's not guilty. Although that defense isn't as convincing anymore since the whole Suge Knight smackdown.

The man who claims Eddie Griffin assaulted him spoke out to TMZ about the messy ordeal.

Vince Beane says the day Eddie hit him, the actor had already consumed half a case of champagne. He also says that even though he was completely humiliated, producers for the show he was working on told him to shake the assault off.

Keith Davidson, Vince's attorney, says that Beane just wants to bring the situation to justice and get compensation for medical bills.

Eddie Griffin's rep has just fired back at the guy who is suing the comedian for an alleged racially-charged ass-whoopin'.

The rep says, "We cannot comment on the details of on-going litigation, except to say that this claim is completely absurd and that it will be shown in time to be without merit."

In the suit, Vince Beane claims he was a production manager on a Griffin pilot when Eddie allegedly flipped out after Beane booked a cheap hotel for the star and his mom. Eddie allegedly said his mom was treated "like a slave nigga" and then allegedly beat him up.

Donald Trump and Vince McMahon's feud is getting hairy. The Donald slapped Vince when he should have been shaking his hand. No wonder Rosie doesn't like this guy.
