Here's former model turned actress
Famke Janssen at some event in NYC (
left) -- and Season Two contestant on "
RuPaul's Drag Race"
Nicole Paige Brooks (
right).

Only one of them is an "X-Men."
We're just sayin'.
Famke Jannsen -- who played
Dr. Jean Grey in "
X-Men" -- is responsible for a New York restaurant breaking the law ... and she can thank her furry little friend for helping her do it.

According to New York City Health Code, it's illegal to bring a dog into a restaurant -- including the patio, if food is being served -- but Famke was snapped sharing an intimate meal with her canine at
Il Sole on Sunday anyway.
We spoke to the owner of
Il Sole, who told us she wasn't aware Famke was there with her pooch -- or she wouldn't have let it happen.
The only exception to the law is if the dog is specially trained -- such as a seeing eye dog -- but we're pretty sure Famke doesn't need one of those ... despite the giant black sunglasses.
Like everyone else who owns a dog, even mega-hot Famke Janssen has to put up with a lot of s**t.
Instead of dropping her wonk-eyed dog Licorice into the tote she was carrying, Famke Janssen had her walk all over LAX -- not a problem, until you see the limp the poor pooch was rockin'!
Even X-Men superheroes have to pick up after their dog!

With her dry cleaning in one hand and a stinky load of her pup Licorice's poo in another, Famke Janssen kept the streets of NYC clean for pedestrians.
We caught Kate Hudson downtown again, where she weathered the December chill in New York to walk, and walk and walk all over SoHo and NoLita. Without gloves, no less!
Meanwhile, Famke Janssen braved the snow to take her dog out (very briefly), the usually effervescent Eva Mendes just wanted to be warm, while an extremely daring Ingrid Vandebosch (Mrs. Jeff Gordon) wore an incredible backless dress -- in sub-freezing temperatures.
Throw on a fuzzy warm sweater before you watch this "Cold Catcher" edition of Star Catcher NYC.
Pregnant Nutmegger and former It-girl-gone-nowhere Gretchen Mol, who dumped cardshark Matt Damon in "Rounders," was spotted walking the streets of the West Village with shabby lookin' hubby, writer/director Tod Williams, who looks like he's one cardboard box shy of a duplex!

Tod's previous marriage was to "X-Men" actress Famke Janssen -- who also starred in ... yep, "Rounders!" What goes around, comes arounder!
Gretchen, wearing a floral patterned maternity frock made from the curtains in Jan's bedroom on "The Brady Bunch," is due before Christmas. Meanwhile, she's starring in that cowboy train movie with cheery Russell Crowe.
Summer blockbuster season is upon us with fans lining up to seem some of the most anticipated films of the year. Whether or not the films are good is for you to decide, but one thing that's not so good is some of these characters' hair. Check out what stars are having a really bad Hollywood hair day.
It may seem like a comic book/action movie/blockbuster, but the love story between Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) and Jean Grey (Famke Janssen) in the new 'X-Men: The Last Stand' is as strong as in any chick flick.
"We ultimately wanted to make sure it was a love story," Janssen says. And Jackman agrees: "It's about how far will he go for the woman he loves."
