The Limp Bizkit comeback might be over before it begins ... because TMZ has learned Fred Durst is gunning hard to axe two of the original members.
The "Nookie" band recently signed a deal with Cash Money Records ... and had been planning to put out a new record in the very near future.
But we're told plans came to a grinding halt recently ... when original members DJ Lethal and drummer John Otto were informed that Fred had a "new vision" for the group ... and they weren't part of the vision.
Sources tell us ... Fred has been upset with the guys for a while ... claiming their partying habits didn't fit with his lifestyle.
We're told the guys have not been officially 86'd from the group ... but they feel it might be headed in that direction unless they work out their issues, stat.
TMZ reached out to DJ Lethal ... who told us, "We've worked together the last 4 years to bring Limp Bizkit back to where it is today ... and to just be thrown out on the street after the band gets a new deal and a new chance at life isn't cool."
He adds, "You can't push away the people who helped you get there. The fans should know that if 2/5 of the original band are not playing at the concerts, it wont be truthful to them."
Fred Durst partied like it was 1999 Monday night -- reprising the classic Limp Bizkit song "Nookie" at an L.A. bar ... and it was all caught on tape!
Sources tell TMZ, Durst hit up open karaoke night at Rock & Reilly's with Nick Swardson and Cedric Yarbrough from "Reno 911" -- and the trio performed a bunch of other songs ... like Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy."
Overall, the beatboxed version of "Nookie" ain't too bad -- in fact, we now feel slightly less embarrassed about listening to Limp Bizkit in high school.
A 24-year-oldman is currently on trial in Australia for allegedly beating his roommate to death ... all because the victim didn't wanna listen to Limp Bizkit.
James Madden has been charged with the murder of 48-year-old Emmanuel McPherson -- for allegedly smashing an alcohol bottle over his head and stomping him to death back in 2009.
According to the Brisbane Times, the fight allegedly broke out when McPherson tried to stop Madden from playing an L.B. album on their stereo. No word on which album incited the furor.
After Emmanuel was killed ... James allegedly wrapped his body in a sheet and dumped it in a nearby creek.
Fred Durst can't buy a break -- Limp Bizkit's reunion tour just got put on ice in Norway after pneumonia took down the band's drummer ... TMZ has learned.
The band's manager tells TMZ they were forced to pull the plug on tonight's show after drummer John Otto was hospitalized in Oslo. According to the manger he was diagnosed with pneumonia and is undergoing tests to determine how serious it is.
Reps for Sentrum Scene, where Bizkit was supposed to play tonight, say tickets for the show will be refunded.
The LB tour was canceled earlier this year over booking issues, according to Durst.
Fred Durst swung back at Courtney Lovethis weekend -- with a quick retaliation to Courtney's recent attack of the Limp Bizkit singer ... the one where she blamed him for the "the worst years in rock history."
According to reports, Love went after Durst at a recent Hole concert claiming, "I have to say, as much as I like Fred, he brought about the worst years in rock history."
But outside Boa steakhouse in Hollywood this weekend, Durst didn't need many words to strike back ...
Remember when Fred Durst was a rock 'n' roll bad ass? Those were the days ... No longer getting the "Nookie" from fans, Fred's dancing skills were put on blast outside Apple Lounge.
In August 2006, Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst was slapped with assault charges after allegedly hitting two people with his car -- and now one of his alleged victims is talking.
Robert Chadwick told CelebTV.com that he and a friend were leaving his mother's Hollywood Hills home when he felt their car get a bump from behind. "I turn around and there's a man getting out of a new BMW convertible. ... He was combative and nasty and insulting from the get-go. He was looking for a fight. He's a scary guy," said Chadwick of Durst.
Bill Paxton is a huge fan of Fred Durst. Just ask him.
The pair, apparently friends, had dinner at Mr. Chow last night. While waiting for their cars, Paxton was asked about the possibility of Durst guest-starring on "Big Love," to which Paxton beamed, "I sure hope so, he'd rock that show." Really?
Then, without any prompting at all, Paxton continued, "Have you seen his movie, 'The Education of Charlie Banks'? It's the real deal."
All further inquiries about Fred Durst can be directed to his publicist, Bill Paxton.
Limp Bizkit singer Fred Durst was outside the Viper Room on Sunset Blvd. last night, but he wasn't there to party -- he was filming a new project. Whodathunkit?!
Durst, whose rap/rock career seems to be in the basement, is working on an A&E project which he said was, "a mockumentary." It's being directed by wacky David Arquette. Dave 'n Durst, wearing fearsome fedoras, took a break from filming to pose with an adoring fan ... hold it a second ... that's no fan! That's the older brother from "The Wonder Years!"
If Jason "Wayne" Hervey has a hand in this show, it's bound to be a hit!
Is Fred Durst on the hunt for a new sex tape partner?
Durst was spotted leaving Koi with with a stripperifically dressed Nicole Narain -- of Colin Farrell sex tape notoriety. The skeeze-a-licious couple were mighty cozy as they waited for a valet. Although they left in separate cars, Narain's was right on Durst's tail ... a switch for Narain.
Fred, of course, is no virgin to sex tapes either; a cell phone video of Fred is circulating the internet showing him getting happy with an unknown blonde. Perhaps he and Nicole are collaborating on a future project.
