"Bad Boys 2" actress Gabrielle Union claims she can understand why Rihanna portrayed the killing of a rapist in her new music video ... because Gabrielle says she tried to shoot the man who raped her when she was 19-years-old.



Union opened up about her past after watching the video for "Man Down" -- saying, "Saw 'Man Down' by @rihanna. Every victim/survivor of rape is unique, including how they THINK they'd like justice 2 be handed out."

She continued, "During my rape I tried 2 shoot my rapist, bt I missed. Over the yrs I realized tht killin my rapist would've added insult 2 injury."

"The DESIRE 2 kill someone whose abused/raped u is understandable, bt unless its self defense n the moment 2 save ur life, just ADDS 2 ur troubles #mandown."

Union -- who has talked about the experience in the past -- says her attacker was a "stranger who robbed the store I worked at. He put his gun dwn durin the rape & asked me 2 [hand] it 2 him."

Gabrielle provided a link to Oprah's radio show -- where she talks about the incident in depth.

Dwyane Wade's actress GF Gabrielle Union just won big in her legal battle against Dwyane's ex-wife -- as of last week, she's officially in the clear over charges that she got too sexy in front of Dwyane's kids.


It's all over a lawsuit the basketball star's ex-wife Siohvaughn Wade (right) filed a few months ago -- claiming her and Dwyane's kids were left scarred when Gabrielle and the Miami Heat guard engaged in "sexual foreplay" in front of them.

Both Dwyane and Gabrielle denied the allegations -- calling them "erroneous claims" -- and last week, a judge in Illinois officially dismissed Siohvaughn's lawsuit, citing improper jurisdiction.

Gabrielle's lawyer -- who called the lawsuit a "shame" and a "waste of time" -- tells TMZ, "The allegations against Ms. Union are completely false and do not belong in the Illinois Court System."

Dwyane Wade claims he's "saddened" and "shocked" by a new lawsuit filed by his estranged wife -- in which she claims the NBA star is damaging their children by engaging in "sexual foreplay" with his new girlfriend in public.



The woman behind the lawsuit is Siohvaughn Wade -- the mother of Dwyane's two sons. Siohvaughn just filed a new lawsuit, on behalf of the two minor children (an 8-year-old and a 2-year-old) -- claiming Wade has engaged in "extreme and outrageous conduct" with his new GF Gabrielle Union in front of Wade's two children.

But Wade tells TMZ, "I am shocked that Siohvaughn Wade has brought this baseless and meritless lawsuit in the name of our children against Gabrielle Union."

Wade adds, "I am deeply saddened and disappointed that Siohvaughn has used our sons once again as pawns and is now lashing out at Gabrielle, who is an innocent party. It is clear that this is a desperate attempt to retaliate against me for seeking sole custody of our children and requesting that the court have her undergo a psychiatric examination."

Wade concludes, "My primary concern is my children and actions such as this only inflame the situation and are harmful to their well being.”

UPDATE: TMZ just spoke with a rep for Gabrielle Union who also rejects Siohvaughn's claims -- and apologizes to the court system for having to deal "with erroneous claims when there are real victims who should be receiving the legal attention they need."

Actress Gabrielle Union is unleashing hell ... and her lawyers ... on a gossip website that printed a scandalous, anonymous letter about her -- a letter Union claims is filled with terrible lies.

We're told Gabrielle's lawyers have fired off an ultimatum to the site, demanding they remove the letter, print a retraction and send an apology letter to Gabrielle... or else.

The site claims they received "the letter" from a "nameless pro-athlete's wife" -- and decided to print it because "it seemed too real."

But Gabrielle claims the allegations in the letter -- mostly involving sexual exploits -- are 100% BS ... and the site should have been more responsible with their judgment before deciding to print.

According to Gabrielle Union, Miss Knowles isn't the only actress in "Cadillac Records" whose pits need a date with the sharp end of a razor blade.

Gabrielle Union -- or her lawyer -- has been spending way too much time in Chinese restaurants.
