'The Worst Month of My Life'
George Michael just showed his face for the first time since being rushed to a Vienna hospital last month with a serious case of pneumonia -- telling reporters, the illness nearly killed him.
George spoke to reporters outside his London home this morning -- claiming, doctors spent "three weeks basically keeping me alive ... It was by far, the worst month of my life."
George choked up, insinuating he had been in a coma during his time in the ICU -- "I spent the last ten days since I woke up literally thanking people for saving my life."
GM was forced to cancel his European tour over the illness -- but promises to play several concerts to make up for it ... including a private concert just for the docs who saved his life.

George Michael Gets 8 Weeks in Jail

The 47-year-old singer has previously admitted to getting behind the wheel of his Range Rover while high on weed and crashing into a photo shop.
A dapper-looking George, seen above on his way into the courtroom, seemed to be in good spirits before the sentencing.
So far, no word on when George will begin his stint behind bars.

The judge immediately suspended Michael's license for 6 months and warned that he could still face prison time over the matter ... because he already has a prior conviction for driving while stoned.
After his appearance, Michael was escorted to his waiting ride by British police in funny hats.
Michael is due back in court for sentencing on September 14.

Metro police believe he was unfit to drive, though they did not say if he was driving under the influence.

And it's not the first run-in between Michael and an inanimate object. Last year he was detained by cops after his old banger hit a tractor-trailer. And in 2007, his license was suspended after Michael pled guilty to driving on drugs.
On the bright side, looks like 1-hour photo will stay open 24/7.

George Michael's bad luck behind the wheel continues -- he was arrested in England early Saturday morning (different time zone, people) after being involved in a nasty car accident. Michael -- who lost his license in 2007 after admitting to driving under the influence of drugs -- smashed his Land Rover into a seven-ton truck at around 1:00 AM in Newbury, Berkshire ... this according to Sky News.
Michael was arrested at the scene, but cops say he was released without being charged with a crime.

George Michael Busted in Another Bathroom
George Michael hasn't learned that public toilets are bad for his career. London police arrested Michael in his home away from home (a bathroom) for being in possession of both class A and C drugs. British law states that class A drugs can include crack cocaine.
The often troubled pop singer was arrested on Friday in an underground loo in the Hampstead Heath area after cops were tipped off by a suspicious toilet attendant. George was released after being cautioned -- and no further action against the singer will be taken at this time.
In 1998, Michael was arrested in a Beverly Hills bathroom for soliciting sex to an undercover police officer.
