Even the richest Colombian coffee couldn't save Hillary Clinton from the telltale effects of a hard night of partying.

The Secretary of State looked the worse for wear after pounding down a beer and dancing in the wee hours of the morning at a Colombian bar. 

Hillary is known to knock a few back -- she famously traded shots of vodka with Senator John McCain in Estonia.

Hey, it's good clean fun ... compared to the Secret Service hijinks. 

In a move more reminiscent of something her husband Bill might do, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was photographed last night dancing and knocking back a beer at a club in Cartagena, Colombia.

Clinton, in town for Summit of the Americas, showed up at a bar called La Havana at around 12:45 AM and stayed for about 30 minutes.

According to a local paper, Clinton and her party of 12 ordered a dozen beers, two glasses of whiskey and bottles of water. 

Nice to see Hillary let loose a little.


Hillary was photographed the day after her Colombian beer session, looking real worn -- the pic is pretty great.

Hills was in Los Cabos, Mexico last weekend for the G20 summit -- but before the snooze fest kicked off ... she went whale watching!

Madam Secretary was taking in the sights with a bunch of diplomats ... when one of the massive mammals rocked her world by rubbing up against her dinghy. Based on the photos, Hillary's lucky she made it back to shore.

To prove it ... TMZ has obtained TWO separate letters of recommendation -- written by Sammie Spades' old profs at Niagara County Community College back in 2006 ... when the adult film star was applying for an intern position at Hillary's office in New York.

Each letter RAVES about the adult film star's straight-A record -- but one was especially flattering, calling her work "outstanding" ... and claiming the XXX actress could easily excel at most universities.

The letter continues, "More impressively, however, I believe that [Sammie's] professionalism, dependability, and drive to improve will assure her success."

"Her writing speaks for itself; she could be an able English, Journalism, or Pre-law major, depending on where her interests take her."

And we all know where her interests took her.

Adult film star Sammie Spades tells TMZ she was going to community college in Buffalo, NY back in 2006 when she met then Senator Clinton at a banquet ... and expressed interest in a summer internship.

Sammie says she was accepted as a 2006 summer intern at Clinton's Buffalo office ... where she did miscellaneous office work, but dreamed of sporting her own power pantsuits just like Hillary.

Sammie says, "I was planning on becoming an attorney and then going into public office" -- however, a couple years later she ran into money problems, abandoned politics ... and claims having sex on tape was the best way to pay the bills.

The star of "Big Butts Like It Big #8" ... and "White Bubble Butts #4" says, "I don't think Hillary would be too happy, but I have nothing but respect for Mrs. Clinton."

For the record ... Sammie says she never met Bill.
