Steven Slater has officially gone Hollywood -- he's hired one of the biggest PR mavens in town to rep him.

Slater has hired
Howard Bragman -- the crisis PR specialist who has repped Isaiah Washington, Chaz Bono and Oksana Grigorieva (before
dumping her after a day).
Bragman released a statement that reads, "I can officially confirm that I am now representing Steven Slater. While
my work will include media relations, my team at Fifteen Minutes and I
will also be helping him sort out the scores of offers that have come
through in the past week from media, producers, brands and other
interested parties. I very much believe that Steven touched a nerve
with the American people and am proud to be helping him tell his story
at the appropriate time in the appropriate way."
But what if Slater's story about the JetBlue passenger is bogus? We're guessing he'll get a lot less than 15 minutes.
Oksana Grigorieva took the opportunity to rip on
Mel Gibson again today -- saying his people are "trivializing domestic violence" -- and in doing so, she lost her new PR rep.

As TMZ first reported, famous crisis PR rep
Howard Bragman quit working for Oksana even before he signed on officially ... in part because of this interview.
Oksana told photogs she felt she was being "victimized all over again" because of her war of words with Team Gibson.
Now she has one less lieutenant.
TMZ has learned
Oksana Grigorieva's new PR rep
Howard Bragman is out ... even before he officially signed on.

Sources tell TMZ Bragman had all but agreed to help Oksana -- that is until she gave an impromptu interview in front of a grocery store early this morning.
We're told Bragman completely supports Oksana and believes she is the victim here -- but, as one person put it, "He can't help a client who won't listen."
Interestingly, Oksana's last publicist
Steve Jaffe said almost the same exact thing on his way out the door.
TMZ has learned
Oksana Grigorieva has someone new to handle her public relations -- crisis manager supreme
Howard Bragman.

Sources tell us Bragman and Oksana have reached an agreement "in spirit," and that paperwork is being finalized.
Oksana moves quickly -- her last publicist,
Steve Jaffe, just jumped ship this morning.
Bragman -- who's worked with the biggest names in Hollywood -- will have his hands full as he steps into the middle of Oksana's ongoing war with
Mel Gibson.

One of the biggest crisis managers in America says
Tiger Woods' address was a great 5 minute speech ... problem is it lasted 13 minutes.
Michael Sitrick, who has repped Rush Limbaugh, Paris Hilton and lots of other celebs in crisis, thinks, "There were good points in the speech but you had to wade through so much to pick them out."
Sitrick thought the most effective moment for Tiger was when he hugged his mom, which Sitrick says, "showed a genuine, human side."
Uber-publicist
Howard Bragman -- who repped Isaiah Washington during his ordeal -- tells TMZ, "He didn't forget to apologize to anyone. Today was Yom Kippur for Tiger!"
