Jack Black didn't just help pay for a school marching band to travel to Disneyland so they could perform in a parade -- he showed up to cheer them on!
As TMZ first reported, Black donated $10,000 to the Tonasket High School Band from Tonasket, Washington to help cover their travel expenses to the Happiest Place on Earth.
The band performed in the Main Street USA parade and got to meet their generous benefactor afterward.
Jack Black just dropped more than $10,000 so a group of music students could travel to Disneyland to perform in a parade tomorrow ... TMZ has learned.
The whole thing came to fruition thanks to Jack's mom -- who lives in Tonasket, Washington and is a HUGE supporter of the local music programs.
We're told the band -- made up of local high school and middle school students -- entered a Disneyland contest and were selected to perform at the Magic Kingdom ... but there was a catch -- they had to pay for their own travel expenses.
We're told the community was rallying to raise the cash -- when Jack caught wind and came through with a MONSTER donation.
The band arrived in L.A. yesterday after a two-day bus trip and will perform in the Town Square parade this afternoon. After that, we're told the kids will all have dinner with their famous benefactor.
Jack Black is slimming down -- only one problem ... he plans on celebrating his future physique by sporting a Speedo on national television. Talk about a tight spot.

They say laughter's the best medicine -- but if that was the case, then corpulent comedian Jack Black wouldn't be showing off his bag o' drugs yesterday in Beverly Hills.
Even when he's stuffed up with phlem, dude is still pretty damn hilarious.
One of the kids from "School of Rock" was busted for DUI -- and no, those kids aren't old enough to drink yet.
17-year-old Joey Gaydos Jr. -- who played Zack Mooneyham in "School of Rock" -- was arrested last month in Michigan after cops say he was trying to drive away from a Taco Bell while intoxicated.
And if things weren't bad enough for the kid -- when we called the Van Buren Township police to find out what happened, an officer told us, "When I heard we had someone from 'School of Rock,' I thought it was that big guy, Black. Then I heard it was that goofy guy who plays the guitar!"
A quiet day with Heidi Klum at the park turned sour (yet amusing) for a legion of paps -- as Jack Black took them all on a manic run as he used his bike as a prop for some two-wheeled comedy.
George Michael is performing on tonight's "Idol" finale, but he ain't "the biggest star in the world" that Executive Producer Nigel Lythgoe has been touting -- our spies tell us, it's "Iron Man" Robert Downey Jr. TMZ moles say the finale will include a virtual hologram of Gladys Knight singing "Midnight Train to Georgia" with Ben Stiller, Jack Black and Downey Jr. singing backup as the Pips. Holy Nat King Cole! "Idol" did this last season when Celine Dion sang along side a virtual undead Elvis. For the record, Gladys Knight is still alive.
We're told the Jonas Brothers, ZZ Top, Seal, Bryan Adams, One Republic, Jordin Sparks and Carrie Underwood will also perform before David Archuleta (or possibly maybe, but not likely, Cook) is crowned the winner.
Before Justin Bieber went toe-to-toe with a photographer -- sparking a police investigation -- he trained with "Iron" Mike Tyson! Wondering how they ended up together? Well, we got Tyson on the phone ... and you won't believe his excuse for kicking it with Biebs. Plus,…
