LAPD officers rolled to Jamie Kennedy's L.A. area home early this morning -- after the actor and his girlfriend allegedly got into a shouting match that was so loud ... it woke the neighbors.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... someone in the neighborhood called police around 3 AM, after hearing yelling and screaming from inside the actor's house.

When cops arrived to the scene, we're told Jamie and a female were arguing in the middle of the street -- so cops broke it up.
 
After talking to both parties, cops decided Jamie had not committed a crime -- but the girl was eventually arrested for being drunk in public.

Calls to Jamie's rep have not been returned.

Jamie Kennedy got a fresh pair of 'cuffs for his birthday this weekend -- after a jealous fellow gambler thought he was hitting on his girlfriend.



Sources close to Jamie tell TMZ ... a random chick came up to Jamie at the Cosmopolitan Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and asked for comedy career advice ... and her jealous BF came out of nowhere and confronted him.

We're told the guy got in Jamie's face and the comedian pushed him back.  Security responded by tackling both of them  ... and escorting Jamie out in handcuffs.

We're told the two guys eventually sorted out their differences -- and no charges were filed.

As for the girl ... she's still a random chick with no discernible IMDb credits.

Jamie Kennedy brought his mad breakdancing skills to D.C. -- showing off his moves outside the White House.

Taking a cue from Sacha Baron Cohen, the comedian continued his bizarre US promotional tour for his upcoming film, "Kickin' It Old Skool," -- by break-dancing in character in the nation's capital.

Kennedy aka Justin Schumacher, and his younger (and shorter) buddy, BBoy Casper, showed off their moves all over the city -- setting up shop in front of an anti-circumcision protest, flipping off the side of the Washington monument and trying to persuade guards to let them flip off Lincoln's knee at his memorial.

The two even broke it down in front of the White House, yelling for the President to come out and join them. Unfortunately, Dubya didn't come out to get served.

There isn't much Jamie Kennedy won't do for a laugh. Last night at PURE at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Kennedy showed up dressed as an 80s breakdancer to promote his upcoming movie, "Kickin It Old Skool."

Jamie was wearing a red bandana, a sleeveless red t-shirt with a black mesh shirt underneath and a pair of fingerless leather gloves. Kennedy signed a few autographs, posed for pics and handed out slap bracelets to clubgoers. Way to represent, yo!

The movie, to be released in April, is about a kid who has a freak breakdancing accident that suddenly lands him in a coma. Sounds like an Oscar frontrunner!

Kennedy showed up at the Arby's Action Sports Awards last night wearing a pair of panties on his face and holding a sign that read: "I Found Britney's Panties." Hehehe.
