Britney Spears is set to make a big splash Monday by personally appearing at the FOX Upfronts in New York City for the announcement that she will be joining "X Factor."
As we reported, as of Friday AM the deal was NOT signed, contrary to various reports. There were some fairly minor issues that still needed resolving and both sides were hoping to finalize it by end of day Friday or over the weekend.
Britney will not sign the deal because she's under a conservatorship -- Co-conservators
Jamie Spears and
Jason Trawick will do the honors.
Our sources say ... Britney and FOX both think a personal appearance is essential in creating buzz for the show.
Britney Spears is coughing up some dough to settle a lawsuit in which she's accused of being a perfume traitor.
Britney
was sued by Brand Sense Partners -- a beauty company that hooked her up with Elizabeth Arden to front her Radiance perfume. Under the deal, Brand Sense was supposed to get 35% of Brit's profits.
But according to the suit, Britney and daddy Jamie entered into a secret deal with Elizabeth Arden and cut Brand Sense out of the deal.
The financial terms of the settlement are redacted, but the docs make it clear -- Britney paid Brand Sense commissions for a period of years, in addition to a lump sum.

Britney Spears dad,
Jamie Spears, got a boatload of money for managing the Femme Fatale Tour ... TMZ has learned.
We obtained court documents which reveal the judge in Britney Spears' conservatorship case awarded Jamie
$537,987.37 as a base pay for his services on the tour. In addition, the judge allowed Britney's personal manager
, Larry Rudolph, to give Jamie 20% of his10% commission because Jamie did so much on the tour. Jamie does not reveal the exact amount he gets from Rudolph, but in all Jamie will rake in a 7-figure payday.
And, Jamie is asking that the judge extend his conservatorship fee of $16,000 a month indefinitely.
But here's the real story ... Jamie did the job of 5 people on the tour, and even with Jamie's fee Britney saved more than a million bucks in salaries.
Britney Spears' daddy will get more than a million bucks -- possibly a lot more -- for his work as the manager of Britney's Femme Fatale Tour.
TMZ has obtained legal docs in Britney's conservatorship case, which show Britney's overall manager,
Larry Rudolph, wants to give up 2% of his cut to
Jamie, because daddy Spears has done such a great job -- Larry's cut is 10% of the gross.
We've learned Jamie has not gotten an extra penny for his work as Tour Manager -- a position he's held since February.
According to the docs, Jamie negotiated a sweet deal for Britney with Live Nation, the tour promoter. He's also coordinated Britney's personal schedule, and supervised her arrivals and departures. He's handled finances, managed Britney's security to protect her from the paparazzi and made 200 - 400 calls and other communications a day on Brit's behalf.
Even though Larry Rudolph is voluntarily giving 2% of his cut to Jamie, it still has to be approved by the court, but that's just a formality.
Jamie Spears is going to court to get some serious money for directing
Britney Spears' Femme Fatale Tour that kicks off today in Sacramento, CA... but turns out he'll be the best bargain in town.

TMZ has obtained legal docs that Jamie has filed with the judge in Britney's conservatorship case ... asking the judge to give him money for directing the tour and managing the logistics of the tour.
Jamie has not specified the amount of money he wants, and sources tell us it hasn't been calculated yet. Sources tell us the amount will be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, but it's crazy cheap for what Jamie is doing.
To give you some perspective, 5 people managed the 2009 Circus Tour. Although the amount they made is blacked out in the legal documents, we were able to discern the amount is in the 7 figures.
With Jamie on board for the Britney Spears/
Nicki Minaj Femme Fatale Tour, 3 of the 5 positions will be eliminated. Thus, if Jamie gets a 6 figure salary for the upcoming 8-month world tour, everybody wins.
Whatever Jamie gets for the tour ... it will be in addition to the $16,000 a month he's pulling in for serving as Britney's conservator.
Britney Spears' lawyers are trying to block her deposition in a perfume lawsuit, because they say she's not legally competent to give sworn testimony.

Brand Sense Partners
is suing Brit for $10 million, claiming she had a deal with the company but pulled a double-cross by trying to cut them out of a lucrative project with
Elizabeth Arden.
Brand Sense wants to take Britney's deposition, but Brit's lawyers have so far refused, on grounds Brit is under a conservatorship and can't be forced to testify without the approval of the conservatorship's attorneys.
No word on whether the attorneys for the conservatorship will sign off on the depo, but Brand is tired of waiting and is now asking the judge in the perfume case to order Britney to sit for the deposition.
Britney Spears' former BFF
Sam Lutfi is demanding the results of drug tests the pop star underwent three years ago -- in hopes they will help him defeat Brit's mom in court.

In the motion -- filed in L.A. County Superior court -- Lutfi claims he needs the tests to support his defamation lawsuit against Britney, her mom and her dad.
He's suing over several claims
Lynne Spears made in her book, "
Through the Storm" -- among them that he tried to "drug Britney into a coma."
In the docs, Lutfi also asks for access to reports filed by Britney's child visitation monitors -- claiming they can refute accusations he cut Brit's phone wires and disabled her cars.
Jamie and
Lynne Spears -- parents of one
Britney Spears -- have decided to give it the ol' adult community college try ... they're getting back together.

The couple divorced back in 2002 and though they are back together, we're told there are no plans to re-marry as of now.
Don't get any ideas, K-Fed.
With no end in sight to
Britney Spears' conservatorship, we've learned there's one person who could set the ball in motion -- and that's Britney herself.

Britney's conservatorship -- which was created in
February 2008 -- shows no signs of ending. The conservators have not filed a petition to end it and there are no indications, based on our sources, that it's wrapping up any time soon.
But we did a little checking and it turns out ... Britney herself can ask the judge to end the conservatorship. Before that happens, the judge would have to satisfy herself that Brit essentially was capable of making decisions for herself and her kids.
But if Britney were to request an end to it, we're told the judge would take the request seriously. That doesn't mean the conservatorship would automatically end, but the judge would almost certainly re-evaluate it.
As we first reported ... there are really two conservatorships at play -- the one over Britney's person and the other over her financial affairs. Our sources say Britney has no interest in ending the latter.
As for whether Britney wants to end the conservatorship over her person ... we're told she runs hot and cold. Fact is ... daddy Jamie Spears has given her a lot of freedom this year, so it's not like she's living in a ball 'n chain world.
But the taste of freedom ... a little scary.
When Britney went to her mother's birthday party, she wore a lace dress with a
pink bra. Now it's her sister's birthday, and Brit's wearing a see-through top and no bra. Classy!

Brit put on her best Cleopatra makeup, popped on an apple cap with what appears to be a built-in Dynel wig, velveteen hot pants, her always-there cowgirl boots and what looks like a plastic, salmon colored purse... the perfect ensemble to celebrate lil' sis Jamie's 16th birthday at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse in Beverly Hills. Meaty!
Britney stayed at the restaurant just long enough to stain her blouse.
