It can get really dark and murky in Hollywood during June Gloom ... and when celebs channel their inner goth teen by slathering on raccoon eyes and porcelain pancake spackle on their faces.

Here's former actor turned 30 Seconds to Mars member Jared Leto,39, in Paris on Tuesday (left) -- and brooding "Twilight" vampire Robert Pattinson, 25, in some sort of promo shot (right).


One of them doesn't age.

Looking like a member of the Volturi coven from "Twilight," Jared Leto struck his best hipster "Zoolander" pose at the DMV in Santa Monica on Thursday.

It was hunkapalooza in NYC this weekend as Jared Leto, 38, Chace Crawford, 24, Ryan Phillippe, 35, and Kellan Lutz, 24, all showed up to the Calvin Klein fashion show.



Question is ...

Jared Leto and his band just came face to face with an explosive threat: A man who panicked a crowd with a mysterious box.


Fans at a West Hollywood appearance by Jared's band, 30 Seconds to Mars, tell TMZ the man rushed the door of the building with a package in his hands.

Witnesses say the man called out Jared by name, and then said something about having explosives.

We're told a member of the band and security tackled the man until police came and arrested him.

LAPD cleared Melrose Avenue to check the box and the suspect's car -- which he had parked in the middle of the street. Cops say there was no bomb in the box -- just candy and a blender.

The man is in custody and police tell us they suspect he is mentally unstable.

UPDATE: Jared addressed the crowd outside after the place was evacuated, telling them the man told him "some explosives" were in the box -- and "it's official, we have the craziest fans in the world."

The event was rescheduled until tonight.

A low weight, high rep workout will get you cut -- but wearing sunglasses to the gym will get you labeled a douche!

Actor turned goth rocker Jared Leto wore his lifting glasses during a low impact workout in L.A. on Tuesday.

Perhaps his hipster shades blinded the 36-year-old from seeing there was no weight on the bar.

The MTV2 $2Bill Tour is set to hit the road October 17th. The 30-city, major market tour with a twist twill have global implications. Besides MTV2 Award winner 30 Seconds To Mars being named the headliner, all vehicles on the road for $2Bill will using bio-diesel fuel. "Taking this approach gives us the opportunity to set an example and share with others the possibilities of real alternatives for a safer, cleaner world," Jared Leto the group's lead singer said.

A limited number of $2 tickets will be made available in a special Internet pre-sale sponsored by MTV2 and 30STM. The pre-sale starts at noon ET/PT on September 16 via ticketmaster.com and a four ticket limit per order will be in place. Sales for general tickets will begin September 23.
Tagging along on the Thomas Jefferson tour (yes, the guy on the $2) will be Head Automatica, Cobra Starship as openers and Rock Kills Kid, The Receiving End Of Sirens, Pink Spiders, Envy on the Coast, and Men, Women and Children join the tour for select dates.

It was a very busy night in Hollywood as our own Josh Levine made his rounds, stopping by a benefit for the LA Mission and then heading over to one of our favorite spots Hyde, were he caught up with tons of stars.

The first stop of the night was a benefit event for the LA Mission were we ran into Jeremy Piven, Rachel Bilson, Nia Long, Oscar winner Dustin Hoffman and Michelle Rodriguez, who was a little unprepared for the event telling photo seekers "Dude, I'm not wearing any make-up."

Next stop- Hyde, usually packed with most of young Hollywood. Thursday night was no exception.  We caught up with a couple of usuals- Jared Leto, Kevin Connolly and girlfriend Nicky Hilton. Always a sport, Kevin stopped to pose with fans as Nicky rushed into the club.
