TMZ just obtained the 911 call made after Jewel -- who is pregnant -- was involved in a serious two-car crash last week in Texas.



The caller -- an employee of OnStar -- tells the dispatcher she didn't know if there were any injuries in the crash ... but she could hear "movement and moaning" in the background.

As we first reported, Jewel was taken to the hospital after the crash -- and both her and the baby were fine.

Jewel escaped from a nasty car wreck yesterday with no serious injuries, tweeting this morning she had been released from the hospital and she and her baby were doing fine.


Jewel, who announced her pregnancy back in January, was involved in an accident in Stephenville, Texas when a volunteer fire truck smashed into the passenger side of Jewel's SUV.

She tweeted this morning: "Hey everyone-just got released from the ER & my Dr's office- everything is fine-me & the baby r ok- thanx 4 all your thoughts & prayers."

Jewel -- who announced she was pregnant two months ago -- was involved in a two-car collision this morning in Texas ... but thankfully, we're told the singer -- and her baby -- are doing fine.



Sources at the scene tell TMZ ... the accident occurred at around 11 AM CT in Stephenville, Texas. We're told a volunteer fire truck smashed into the passenger side of Jewel's car (see photo below).

According to Jewel's rep, "The singer was taken to the hospital and current medical tests conducted indicate that she and the baby are doing fine."

As far as we know, Jewel is not Alicia Silverstone -- but that didn't stop one crazy dude outside El Compadre last night from repeatedly screaming at the crutched singer: "Alicia Silverstone, you rockin' one leg ... whooo!!!!"

The dreaded "Dancing with the Stars Curse" has struck again -- Jewel and Nancy O'Dell have both been forced to quit the show due to dancing-related injuries!

Even with a knee full of steroids, Jewel couldn't power through the strenuous training regimen -- officials confirmed the singer fractured both of her tibias while practicing for the competition.

O'Dell was also hurt in the heat of ballroom battle -- she went down with a torn meniscus that will require surgery.

Producers haven't made any official announcements as to who will replace the two women, but there are serious rumblings that Holly Madison will take one of the spots -- and why not ... she does happen to be an expert at the horizontal mambo.

The storied "Curse" has taken down some of "Dancing's" best over the last few seasons, including -- Marie Osmond (fainted), Stacy Keibler (seizure), Susan Lucci (ankle), Jeffrey Ross (eye), Karina Smirnoff (fainted), Derek Hough (head injury), Misty May-Treanor (torn achiles), Mark Ballas (shoulder), Kym Johnson (shoulder), Toni Braxton (benign lump), Brooke Burke (foot), Julianne Hough (appendectomy), Jane Seymour (food poisoning), Cristian de la Fuente (arm), Kim Kardashian (foot) and Gilles Marini has already been diagnosed with tendinitis. And let's not forget about the most tragic injury of all ... Lisa Rinna's lips.

Move over, A-Roid -- Jewel has now taken your place as the face of cheating in pro sports. Alright, it's dancing ... but still.

Jewel took to her blog yesterday to announce she is battling tendonitis in her knee as she prepares for the upcoming season of "Dancing with the Stars." But Jewel, unlike seemingly every baseball player, openly admits she is taking steroids to help her stay healthy. She writes, "Hopefully these steroids will really do the trick and I can keep bad flare ups at a bay in the future."

It is unknown what ABC's policy is on performance-enhancing drugs in reality dance competition shows. Certainly if Jewel should go on to win, "DWTS" purists will call for an asterisk next to her name....

Jewel has now gone from living out of a van to selling her $1.7 million Hollywood Hills home with its own three car garage. Even her cars have a roof over their head now!

The singer's simple 1,781 sq. ft. (that's around a $1,000 bucks a sq. ft.), two bedroom, two bathroom digs has a private deck, office and 'Sub-Zero refrigerator,' according to the L.A. Times.

Jewel even has her own backup house -- a 2,200 acre ranch in Texas.

Jesse McCartney and Aubrey O'Day flaunted their new pairing at the two most pap-filled places in NYC -- The Waverly Inn and Butter. It screams publicity stunt ... but does anyone even care?

Also in NY: Leona Lewis greeted fans and Ryan Gosling dodged questions about rumored girlfriend Kirsten Dunst.
