April 15 usually means Tax Day for most Americans -- for Christina Aguilera and Jordan Bratman, it's the day their divorce became final. Congrats?


As TMZ first reported, the two settled their divorce back in February and the docs listed today as the date the marriage would officially be kaput. There was a prenup between the two, but we're told Jordan got a little extra in the deal.

Fun Fact -- Today is actually NOT Tax Day this year. Since Emancipation Day falls on the 15th this year, Tax Day was pushed to April 18. The more you know!

Christina Aguilera and Jordan Bratman have reached a divorce settlement that was filed with the court ... TMZ has learned.


Sources tell us they will share joint custody of their son, Max,  though the legal papers -- filed with the court Wednesday -- don't specify the terms of custody.

As for dividing up the goodies, as TMZ first reported, the couple had a prenup, but sources connected with Jordan tell us he got a little somethin' extra as part of the settlement.

As for what Christina got ... Jordan, who is repped by attorney Bruce Clemens, has FINALLY moved out of the house. Chrissy Christina, her new boyfriend Matt Rutler, and Jordan have all been living under the same roof.  Jordan officially left a few days ago.

Although disso-queen Laura Wasser, who reps Christina, filed the final divorce papers Wednesday, the divorce won't be final until 6 months from the date it was originally filed ... so they will officially be single on April 15. 

TMZ has learned ... until yesterday, Christina Aguilera was sharing her Beverly Hills home with her son, her estranged husband and her boyfriend.  



A moving truck showed up Tuesday ... we're told to take Jordan Bratman's stuff away, and none too soon.  We're told current BF Matt Rutler moved in weeks ago.



As one source connected with the threesome put it, "Thank God Jordan is moving out.  It was getting really awkward, but Christina was letting Jordan stay for the sake of Max."

As TMZ first reported ... after Christina filed for divorce Jordan wouldn't move out of the house, so Christina was staying in various L.A. hotels, but eventually moved back into the family home.

Christina Aguilera filed for divorce a little more than a week ago, but already there's a little conflict.



We've learned Christina's lawyer, disso-queen Laura Wasser, filed legal docs disqualifying the assigned judge from hearing the case.

L.A. County Superior Court Judge Elia Weinbach ... fairly new on the divorce circuit ... won't be hearing the case, but we're guessing it's nothing personal.

Wasser's firm has a pretty ironclad rule to handle high-profile divorces with private judges.  Translation -- they're usually handled behind closed doors.

It's hard enough getting a bad tenant out of an apartment.  So just imagine Christina Aguilera's dilemma -- her hubby is still living in the family home with no plan to move and it's really awkward ... sources tell TMZ.


As TMZ first reported, Aguilera filed for divorce from Jordan Bratman last week after nearly five years of marriage. But despite the fact they've been separated since September 11, neither has moved out of their Bev Hills home.

Our sources say it's so uncomfortable for Christina, she's been staying in a hotel.

Things will get super awkward if she he brings a girl home.

Sources connected with Christina Aguilera tell us she split her lip last week after "a simple fall."  As one source said, "It's as innocent as that."


There were reports insinuating there may have been domestic violence between Christina and Jordan Bratman, since Christina busted her lip the very same day she filed for divorce.

But as we first reported, there was no domestic violence.  Christina just fell on her own.

Case closed.

Stories are circulating suggesting Christina and hubby Jordan Bratman may have gotten into a domestic squabble and that's why her lip was cut.  But sources directly connected with the couple tell us it was not DV.

The pics were taken October 14 at Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch in West Hollywood.  TMZ broke the story ... Christina filed for divorce the very same day.  But it wasn't in any way connected with the injury.

New bachelors David Arquette, 39, Ben Harper, 40, and Jordan Bratman, 33, all announced they were separating from their famous wives this week.

The same day she filed for divorce from Jordan Bratman citing irreconcilable differences, an orange Christina Aguilera was spotted getting out of a limo with their adorable son Max in Santa Monica on Thursday.

Christina Aguilera just filed for divorce from her husband Jordan Bratman ... TMZ has learned.



Aguilera cited "irreconcilable differences" in her divorce petition obtained by TMZ, which was filed today.  It's an interesting twist, since sources tell us Christina is the one who cheated.

According to the divorce docs, there is a prenup.  The divorce petition asks that "Earnings and accumulations of [Aguilera] before marriage, during marriage and from and after the date of separation" be considered separate property.

Aguilera, who is represented by disso-queen Laura Wasser, lists the date of separation as September 11, 2010.

The petition also seeks to terminate Bratman's ability to get spousal support. 

Aguilera is seeking joint physical and legal custody of their child, Max, who is 2.

Sources connected with the couple tell TMZ the marriage fell apart after Aguilera allegedly cheated on Bratman.  Aguilera's side refused comment.

The same day news broke of his breakup with wife Christina Aguilera, music executive Jordan Bratman was spotted leaving his Beverly Hills office on Tuesday.



Jordan and Xtina were married in 2005 and have been separated for a few months.
